I hope this one makes them realize it was a wasted effort.

Competition, no matter how scarce, is a GOOD thing.

I held one the other day, it's heavy, but so is a petrified turd.  I can't believe people are still going on about this thing.  Where is the market for such a niche item?  What does it offer over just using your semi-auto selector?  A $50 springer can out perform it.  If it was select-fire, realistic blowback with an external co2 hookup that offered upwards of 20,000 shots off a 20 oz. tank that would be something, gee I wonder where I cold get something like that. (cough Escort cough)

People still buy JAC and ASAHI, do they not? Do they have realistic blowback? No. Semi auto... like a crimebuster? External hookup... not needed for semi.... but easy to rig with off the shelf parts including the false Co2 to CA adapter that has been around in paintball since the late 80's. Where is the market? anyone who likes the modern gun they allready spent money on and want to try something different without investing in a whole new gun of limited selections that may not have anything to do with thier cosmetic wants or loadout.

I'm already imagining future posts of blown up guns and people trying to fit a V.2 mechbox in a PSG1, G3, M14 or anything else.  They will run unregulated co2 in a pot metal or plastic receiver and wonder why the charging handle is embedded in their forehead.

The unit is self-contained, you can fire it in your hand. It allready RUNS off unregulated Co2.... gun structure hardly matters. Let people have thier toys, or at least have a well thought argument first, mmmK?

Where is the market for such a niche item?

Try New Zealand or Germany where full auto guns are not allowed.

In NZ even a converted to semi only gun is not allowed.

So yea, we holding out for it.

It dosen't have to be perfect, just needs to

I did ask sniperx on classicairsoft about making a semi escort for the nz market but it's not big enough to bother with at this stage.

Otherwise I would get an escort instead. ;)

Places such as NZ and Germany.. and goodness knows who elses' laws may change at some point or another.

Fine.. It would be nice if it were perfect.. at least the design is now out there..

Hell. if we have to (NZ) could buy the design.. and fob it off to a chap in this country to CNC mill the bugger out.. and then we could airsoft in nice piece and quiet. :)

well for all your you disbelievers that think the 470 is a dud and will not work right even after this long waiting period you're wrong. just got mine in today put it in without much work, and fired first shot fine, and second shot was just like silas' that sound like putt putt pffttt so i was thinking oh no, but i shot it again and an extra 50-80 so shots [sorry i wasn't counting] it was working great till the gas ran out. it works marvoulous with every shot as crisp as the previous. the only problem was already outlined in their manual about no bb fed, and it is becuase i have not upgraded my hop up rubber and will promptly do so within this week. i will then [hopefully] post a review up about it and maybe a movie if i can record a decent one. simply said it is a nice piece of machinery and innovation. the recoil is okay like a gbb but i like feeling something every shot. the sound is nice a crisp and when i single loaded the bb through the muzzle shot pretty well. just need to tune it a little. im sure if i add an external set up, i can crank more fps and distance from it.

silas i think your's was a lemon. hopefully will be fully functional when u get it back, and dont' forget to replace your stock hop up if you have one

Awesome, I'm glad to hear it! So you didn't have a problem with the fire selector? What did you install it in? Oh, and did you have to cut the stock screw as outlined in the manual? I'm really glad to hear that yours is working. I hope Madbull can get mine going.

i actually replaced the fire selector with the one from my electric mechbox. seems to slide better since it's plastic and not metal like the one that come with the 470. The metal one that came with the 470 seems to stick sometimes to the metal body so i took it off and replaced it. after that it was pretty easy fitting in. only problem was that the bolts that closed the metal body were somewhat tight fitting, but still able to close.

what stock screw are you talking about? i really dont' remmeber anything about that?

ohhh i just re read the manual. actually i didn't have a problem with it. at the time of installation it was giving me a problem so i unscrewed it a little and then i could cock it. then i just retightened it and it has worked fine from then on. lol

the charging handle that was supplied is actually a little tight compared to the one that came with my m15 so i took a look at both of them and they seem almost the same except for a little black piece of metal screwed onto the madbull charging handle. i took it off and put it on my own charging handle. it fit so snugly i had to hammer it into the charging handle, and it won't budge any more. lol so now i am using my original chargin handle which slide and locks in place much better than the madbull one.

i still have to get a hopup bucking for the feeding problem but will do that sometime soon cuz i have to go out of town this weeeknd. but since airsoft extreme is so close [less than 15 miles] ill just pay them a visit sometime

if this hopup bucking is so crucial to the effective operation (ie, feeding and firing) of the mechbox why isnt it included with the kit?

I would imagine, given as how personal preference with regards to the hopup bucking varies, that it's due to the enduser being able to customize their own bucking. I also doubt that the base gun (I believe a CA) has a worthwhile bucking anyway. A TM bucking is FAR superior to CA's mush.
