Airsoft Players webpage update: Airsoft players have got a few new bits and bobs up. They have a nice video of the (now very old) M1 Gas Carbine firing, in their media section. This is the model that ejected shells with each shot. A new section has been added for classified ads, not incredibly useful if you're in the UK, but I know I have a lot of readers over in the States so I thought I'd mention it anyway. If you're looking to sell equipment in the UK, I'd recommend going and using the Airsoft.org D_Boards, or the new auction site. They have also added a 'Seller Rating System', for rating sellers of airsoft kit. There's a lot of well known retailers listed there, including RedWolf, DenTrinity, 747 Imports and Airsoft Shop, If you've had a good or bad experience with any retailer there, it's worth contributing to this rating system so that retailers who go out of their way to please you, the customer get the advertising they deserve. Equally, other airsoft players should be made aware of retailers that consistently perform below expected standards.
WarGamer Shop domain change: On a quick note, WGC's shop - 'WarGamer Shop', have changed their domain name to http://shop.wargameclub.com/ - Time to update your bookmarks folks. |

New page added to links: I have added 'Airgun Base' to my links section. I originally came across this website while looking for reviews for my m870 before I bought it. This is the only website I found, at that time, with a review of the m870 that was in english. This is something I'd highly recommend doing, before you buy any airsoft kit - especially if you can't view it before purchase (i.e. if you are importing it from somewhere miles away, like HongKong). At Airgun Base you'll find a good few reviews (some covering rare or obscure airsoft kit), a few articles covering airsoft topics, a picture section, and the obligatory links section. The site also covers matters such as air-guns and air-pistols.
The gist of it is, that they've re-organised everything after consultation with their shareholders, to maximise their business potential. From a buyer's point of view, it means very little, other than the company are becoming bigger, better founded, and more reliable. If you want to read all the nitty gritty, have a look on their main page.
At those prices it's very tempting to get another M870 shotgun, maybe the short version as a 'pistol' backup... I just love urban tactics. =) WGC have also added a few other new items, including:
The free battery offer for the P90 will be rather tempting for anyone planning on making a pre-order. Personally I'm not incredibly keen on the P90, but some people love them. - Then again, I love airsoft shotguns, and some people don't. |

Well it's Sunday afternoon, and after a hard, long, and rather fun skirmish day at CombatSouth, I thought I'd update the news page while I build up the energy to tidy up all the muddy kit I dumped in the doorway downstairs... RedWolf webpage update: The RedWolf website news section has been updated with more news and piccies on the TMP90, some belated info on the Maruzen Micro Uzi Type-U, and some information on the new KSC M11a1. New 1911 Review over @ Springer Retreat: There's a new review of some rather nice springer pistols over at SR. Great if you're on a budget and/or need something to 'ping' around the house:

Updates, and news on the 'Falcon': Sorry for the lack of news updates, but I've been out and about for the past 2 days, as I had to go and take my car (The 'Falcon') for it's annual MoT. On the bright side it passed; on the downside it seems that on the way back from the garage I've blown my cylinder-head gasket, either that or the engine water-jacket has corroded through. The basics of it is that the engine is currently burning coolant with the fuel. Needless the say, this is not a good thing, as the engine is rough as hell, and when the coolant gets too low the engine overheats. It looks like I'll spend a lot of tomorrow taking my engine to bits to find out what has gone wrong. I have a very nasty feeling that this could spell the end for my much loved run-about. Sci-Firearms M41a webpage update: The Sci-Firearms website section on the M41a has been updated:
There's also got some information from MFI on the new P90, go over to the main Sci-Firearms page to have a read. |

Blackrain7 update: 'Stinger' has written an article for BlackRain7, about all the new equipment which will enter the airsoft world shortly, that includes the TM P90 details, plus details of the new products from Tanaka, Maruzen, KTW and WA. I have already covered most of it here in my news section, but if you want more information on the new offerings, you won't find a more comprehensive report.

As a webmaster of a news based website, I saw it as my honest duty to contribute to the day of dis-information that is known as "April Fools Day". I'm looking forward to creating next year's story already. =) If you'd like to read the full story, have a read of this article. I wrote this to explain where everything came from, and what I did to make the story up. All of the emails sent to excello.cjb.net, have been deleted, and I'm shortly going to contact them via email with a quick explanation, a small apology from myself.
I'm a bit of a shotgun fan, so I've known about these new shotguns coming from Maruzen for a bit, it's still nice to see an image of the new models. I am very tempted to get the replacement pistol grip for my M870 shotgun. I just recieved an
email form Dentrinity
about the release of the new TM P90. Here's the gist of it:

Technical manual update#2: I have now uploaded the technical manual for the Tokyo Marui MP5 A4/A5 and the AK47. As I mentioned before, and in the new articles, these images were not originally produced by myself, but have been reproduced with kind permission of AirsoftPlayers. I have merely recompressed them, to make them more portable, and then produced the page (in my own style) with thumbnailed images and links. Technical manual update: "Pikachoad" over at AirsoftPlayers, has kindly given me permission to host relevant copies of the technical manuals here on my site, so I'll shortly be adding the TM AK47 and the MP5 Technical Manual, to the list of documents on this website. |
