Technical manual update#2: I have now uploaded the technical manual for the Tokyo Marui MP5 A4/A5 and the AK47. As I mentioned before, and in the new articles, these images were not originally produced by myself, but have been reproduced with kind permission of AirsoftPlayers. I have merely recompressed them, to make them more portable, and then produced the page (in my own style) with thumbnailed images and links.

Technical manual update: "Pikachoad" over at AirsoftPlayers, has kindly given me permission to host relevant copies of the technical manuals here on my site, so I'll shortly be adding the TM AK47 and the MP5 Technical Manual, to the list of documents on this website.

RedWolf Updates: RedWolf have updated their website with a few new offerings including:

They also have some info about the newly released Browning pistol replica from Tanaka.

AD accepting P90 pre-orders: Airsoft Dynamics are now accepting pre-orders for the P90 in the UK. They are asking a deposit of £50, for more information have a look at their page here. You'll find that a lot of other suppliers are now taking pre-orders, but as this is a UK site, I primarily list UK suppliers.

Home-built Mk23 supressor: On a budget? Got a Socom pistol, and want to add a supressor and can't justify buying the replica version? Why not check out this link (http://www.mark23.com/MMFHSK/fake-supr-instr.html), which details how to make one yourself, from cheap components.

AK47 Technical manual: Airsoft Players have posted the technical manual for the AK47 - this is not the manual that comes in the box, but the one that is supplied to certified warranty centers for TM products. They have a few other technical manuals there, and a vote for the manual that you'd like to see up next. Current manuals include:

  • SIG 550/551
  • Steyr AUG
  • PSG1
  • MP5
  • M4

I'd recommend that any serious airsofter has a look at any that refer to their personal AEG, as the printed diagrams are very helpful, and provide the answer to the common Saturday night "Where-on-earth does this part go?" question.

Website update : I've got some parts online of the new reviews that I've got in the pipeline... You can now find a new images page for the SV 3.9", and an images page for the AK47. Coming shortly will be reviews for the HK21, the Glock26, the AK47, my Remington M870, and the SV3.9. Sykobika has kindly sent me an updated review of his SV Infinity now that he's had it for a bit.

"Squad-X-Airsoft"website update : Well it wouldn't be a day without a news update, and I'm about to go to bed and watch the late night film on BBC1.I promised the site admin over there (OD), that I would mention this here before I went to sleep. =)

The Squad-X-Airsoft site has undergone a re-design, and is now much easier to navigate than it's previous incarnation. You'll now find that the minute navigation text that was difficult to read (on screens like mine @ 1600x1200), is now gone, and replaced with a much easier to read, and more intuitive navigation system. Not everything is up yet, so expect a few 404 errors. Here's OD's last post on the site (slightly edited):

"Yes, after 2 days, and alot of mucking around on my part, Squad -X- is now open again with a much funkier and fresher look. Some links aren't working yet, but after tonight, Everything should be back to normal, with a few bonus extras, you all know how I love those extras! - Thanks, Tom (OD)"

KSC Glock 18c updated: It's curious what you spot when browsing the web, over at Airsoft Retreat, I read this:

"... According to Sakura Hobby, the new KSC Glock 18c's have some new upgrades done to them.

Their "stock" plastic slide is now fitted with metal plating on the rear-interior of the muzzle end. This is possibly in response to complaints of the slide cracking after rough use. (Since many of you probably use gas that's too strong - with HFC 134a being tough to find.) The metal plating also wraps around the area where the guide-rod rests upon. Therefore, that removable "rubber disc" (also found in KSC's Glock 17) which houses the guide-rod is no longer attached since it's not needed. Sakura sold out of these new guns yesterday but will be restocking in two weeks. You can contact him here. ..."

Website updates: Someone kindly informed me of a technical manual that is available that may be of use to anyone attempting the M41A airsoft replica. Inspired by this information I decided to have a further dig around, and I found a few more bits and pieces for the M41a project, including some lovely images of a completed "SD Studios" rifle.

I've also done a photo session with Slayer's (now known as "Bruce") AK47, and his 3.9" SV pistol. He's promised me reviews of these bits of kit too. Sykobika has handily written a Glock 26 review, and a review of his Custom HK21.. It's always the way - I've now got 4 reviews in the pipe-line and they are all half-complete. I'll upload the images and reviews I have so far as soon as I have recharged my camera batteries - 4 hours and counting...

Website updates: I've been a bit bored today, so I did a few things I've been meaning to do for a bit. Here's a list of the new bits and pieces:

I'd like to point out that all that content is mine - its not poached from anyone else's site, and it's all my own hard work, the manuals were scanned in here, from my copies. There's also been a whole load of changes on various site pages.. just far too many to list. I'll just leave you to come across them on your own - most of the minor changes are just cosmetic. The major changes are listed above.

Over the next week I've got a new HK21 review to put up, a review of the TM Glock26 in the works, my m870 review to finish, and a whole bunch of manuals from various bits of kit here to scan in.

P90 Exclusive pics @ Dentrinity: Dentrinity, the lucky swine, have managed to get their hands on the new TM P90 (if only briefly). They have put up a page on their site with some exclusive pictures. Here's a quote from their webpage:

"With our good relationship with Tokyo Marui, DEN has the luck to show you these exclusive photos of the "to be released" P90 AEG. We have the chance to shoot the gun too. All we can say is that it is a VERY IMPRESSIVE AEG!! Let the photos tell you why. "

This page from Den really is a 'must see' for anyone interested in the P90.

Click here to visit the P90 page at DenTrinity

Website updates around the world: Ilendil's Airsoft Page has been updated with details of his new Custom M16A3 SAW, you can find the details on his technical page.

New M870's from Maruzen: I spotted this information over at Sci-Firearms.com about a reworked M870 model from Maruzen:

"I don't know if it has anything to do with why the Maruzen M870 Bullpup is currently so hard to get, but DEN Trinity has informed me that Maruzen will be releasing a new version in April. This new M870 Combat Shorty will not have the folding metal stock that the current model has... this version might come in slightly cheaper..."

PDI Socom M24 Manual: You can now find the "out the box" manual for the PDI M24 here, or on the reviews page.

G3SG1 Fixed! -The good news is that the SG1 is fixed (I couldn't leave it broken for longer than 24hours). - I took it to bits over breakfast. It transpires that I had snapped the cylinder nozzle off in the hop-up unit. I took a whole load of pictures as I stripped the G3, they should prove to be useful for anyone planning on working on a G3 for the first time. When I've finished the article, it will be found in the new 'Articles' section.

Major site re-hash: I've been re-organising the site contents.. If you find a link doesn't work or an image that's missing, then email me. Everything should be ok though, as I've checked most of it myself here. You'll now find a new articles section on the LHS nav-bar now. I'm going to use this section for any documents that I can't fit anywhere else.

Sunday's Skirmish @ Combat South: I'm happily recovering from a very fun, but completely "knackering" day at Combat South. It was a great day had by all, (at least no-one picked any fights - that I saw). It was nice to meet a few people that until yesterday I had only talked to via IRC or email.

Now about this Socom M24 of Mike's... What more can I say, other than "I want one"? Mike was kind enough to let me use it for the last game where we attacked the radio-shack, and I happily sat well out of the range of the defender's AEG's and picked off five members of the opposition in succession... It's amusing watching your target through a 4x scope wondering where the hell the shot that hit them came from.

Oh, another general piece of advice that I can offer from my trials and tribulations on Sunday is: Don't fall on an AEG, and don't fall with it firing. I unfortunately had a rather nasty fall when attacking "Hamburger Hill", and went down heavily on some logs with "The Lady" (my SG1) firing. When I hit the ground I broke the feeding mechanism, so at the moment, everythings ok on the rifle (i.e. the gearbox turns, gas is pushed through the barrel, and I didn't snap it in two), but the nozzle that is on the front of the cylinder doesn't move back and forth, hence bb's won't load into the hop-up unit. - I'll have a look at it this evening and see what damage I've caused... As usual if there are any interesting photos to take I'll snap a few with the camera and put them up - Maybe I'll start an SG1 dissassembly guide, that's similar to the AK47 guide I wrote.

My thanks go out to everyone who went yesterday, as it was one of the most fun skirmishes I've had at CS, and as usual it's the people that go that make the whole day worthwhile.

(If the fellow who I met at CS, with the broken AK47s is reading this - you'll want to have a read of this page)

Dolphin battle report! "Da Big Cheese" himself, Dolphin #1, has written up the battle report for the last skirmish that the team had at Sopley (which was two weeks ago). You can go and have a read and a laugh on our thread on the airsoft.org d-boards here. I have stored a copy of the report here on my site.

You can also find it in the new reports section which I shall put under "About this site" for the time being, due to a lack of anywhere else to put it. I am going to have a bit of a re-organise of the site interface so I can present things like this more clearly.

Marushin overload! Have you seen the new pistols and shotguns over on this Marushin page...? - For a revolver fan like myself, it's almost heaven. There's a lovely Mk1 Ruger there too. It's in Japanese so it's real difficult to follow, just click the links at the bottom of the page, with 'NEW!' next to them.

To quote a friend: "..Marushin have a flair for making things with lots of metal"
(you know who you are)

I'm after a 44 replica as close to the DirtyHarry model as possible, preferably with plenty of power. Combine it with a leather shoulder holster, and 3 sets of speed loaders, and I'll be in heaven the next time I go out on a urban skirmish... now all I need is the tweed jacket, with rubber elbow pads and a pair of 70's wrap around sunglasses. :-)

Mmmm 8" of pain =)
Friday, March 23, 2001 11:30 PM

Bored? Well you shouldn't be =) - But if all the news an info that I put here isn't good enough for you, maybe this'll keep you happy... Retro gamers who are familiar with the ZX80, Spectrum and the good old BBC, will remember a game called "Chucky Egg". Well now you can play this marvelous game inside your browser, assuming have a recent version, and it can support java applets.

New 40mm MM230 shell: I spotted that FIRST Factory are releasing a new Sunproject M203 compatible shell. Dentrinity have it in stock at the moment for the same price as the original ANS shell ($90). My guess is that Suppliers like AirsoftDynamics will have these in shortly. You can find an image of the shell here. It fires 21 bb's at a time, and is apparently more powerful than the ANGS equivalent.

Weird and wonderful: I spotted a few new things over at Florida Airsoft (FA). Here's the quote from their website:

"...Coming soon: RPG replica, firing 50-100 BBs per shot with an external air source (estimated at $600-$700) and the M-79 grenade launcher (estimated at around $300). Info courtesy of stateside retailer, Airsoftdepot.net. ..."

New airsoft pistols: There's a nice photo of a couple of revolvers over at BB Land, looking at the image to the left a few quotes spring to mind, not least this one:

"..now seeing as this is the .44 Magnum, possibly the most powerful handgun in the world, and could probably blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question..."

As per usual, I can't get any translations of the article, but the pictures sure are nice. It sure would be great to get a powerful affordable 6 shot airsoft revolver, rather than the impressive looking, but "leaky-as-hell", Tanaka .357 models.

UK Weather outlooks: I've added details for the weather outlook in Southampton and a few other places to the 'About this site' section. It should be of some use to any airsofters wanting weather reports for the weekend ahead.

Click here for the 4 day forecast for Southampton
You can click the image to the left to see how much mud I'm going to wade through this weekend with my SG1. :-)

As is the way with these things, I don't have a multi-million dollar CRAY-XMP hanging around to do all this for me (oh well, such is life..), so this data is sourced off the UK MET Office.

Airsoft Dynamics Update: The recently re-launched AD website (mentioned here on the 7th March), has been updated with information, and details of various new FirstFactory products and accessories available for purchase through them, these include:

  • Phantom AUG kits
  • Maruzen APS internal upgrades including a new trigger system
  • LR300 flash hider

You can find these on their dedicated First Factory page. AD have also updated their links page with links to all known (read useful) manufacturers.

Dynamic site interface: As previously mentioned I'm currently experimenting with a newer design for the site interface, that will include the use of PHP and SQL to generate the HTML that you see here. This may take some time to implement, as I wish to keep the site compatible with all browsers (personally I frequently use LYNX which is a well known terminal browser). The aim of this is to make the site as easy to navigate to possible, and to make it a better expedience for the viewer.. i.e. You! =) Any help or suggestions for this change would be most appreciated.

WA CQB Review: There's a new review of the WA CQB Pistol over at AirsoftPlayers. Go and take a peek, it makes good reading. There's also some nice comparison photos including shots of the WA SV Hybrid 3.9", and a real steel SW Sigma 40.

Wednesday, March 21, 2001 10:56 PM

UK Player up and running: This new "service" is now up and running, c/o JAG. It's a database where UK players can enter their details so they may be contacted for events. Here's a snippet from their main page:

"..UK Play is intended to act as a fully featured database for airsoft players in the United Kingdom. You can have your own profile up on our database, and live on the web in under two minutes! This site is designed so that the average British airsofter can quickly, and easily find other airsoft players in his, or indeed her local area..."

APEC: Asia Pacific Enterprise Corp (APEC), kindly sent me an email with some news and info. They are a company based in Vancouver Canada. An employee of theirs, Peter Kang, has just visited Japan, and is currently in Korea, he informed me of some of the latest news over there:

  • Systema will be releasing a new spring action sniper rifle shortly after the TUBB 2000, there will be a picture of it over at APEC as soon as one is available.
  • Also, new from Marui is another BioHazard Limited Ed, with a compensator and a lower rail, perhaps built on a Beretta? - We shall see.

I'm adding APEC to the links page, as a listed airsoft supplier.

Dynamic News: I'm playing around with PHP, on the server side to create a dynamic news page, to make my life a little easier. All of the decent free scripts out there need mySQL on the server for the news database, unfortunately this is not available as a service on this server. If anyone has information on a decent PHP script, that will generate a news page much like this, I'd be very interested. The best I have seen so far is newsPHP, which has a nice admin web interface. Anyone out got any suggestions, they'd be much appreciated?

Site updates around the world: Dentrinity have updated their site to include some new M4 flip-up sights, and the Phantom/Shadow AUG kits.

I haven't spotted much else that's new, it seems things have gone a little quiet on the airsoft front, after the huge wealth of new products that have been launched ove the past month... I have plans for things to keep me occupied during the summer, not least is the design and building of a proper cross-draw shoulder holster, but more on that later.

Tuesday, March 20, 2001 6:56 PM

Site Website: "Elite Action Games", and the site team "Elite Combat Unit" have started a new website up for themselves. They are a local site located near Worthing in the UK. It's always worth mentioning local sites and teams, and it's nice to find friends and collegues with a 'web-presence'.

KSC M11, "another one?": Well there's a new pic of the new KSC M11, the Mac11a, over at BBLand. I can't read it as usual, so I can't tell you anything about it, until someone sends me a translation, or I spot details on another website.. It does make you wonder what the love affair witht he M11 is.. I gather that the Maruzen 'micro-uzi' is very reliable and great fun, so I wonder what KSC think they have to offer - we shall see.

M870 Review: I meant to start it ages ago.. but I've started work on it now, and the work in progress is currently posted. I'll update it as I write it, and after I have taken the digital photos to accompany it. Go and have a look, you can now find it under the reviews section, or here.

New combat simulator: (It's not really airsoft, but it's still worth a mention, particularly, as there's very little going on at the moment.) -There's a new game coming out from CodeMaster's, that looks like it's set to turn some heads, and break some sales records. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you 'Operation Flashpoint' - here's what PC Zone had to say about it:

"The best bits of Hidden & Dangerous, Battlezone II, Team Fortress 2, Wargasm and Delta Force 2 - all rolled into one big, heavy, metal gaming ball and set to rock all over our world." .

The game gives you the ability to command an army, from the ground forces up. This means that you have the ability to control individual soldiers or any available vehicle, be it airborne or land based, from the first-person perspective. It looks to be the most complex, and well devised game of it's type ever to be developed. I've also heard reports that the enemy AI is highly intelligent, so this may not be an easy game to complete.

Click here to visit the Codemaster's website Features:
  • Complete infantry, mobile armour and aircraft in one single tactical game.
  • Command up to 12 units through treacherous do-or-die missions.
  • Immense, highly detailed and accurate 3D environments with the best visual representation of modern military ever seen.
  • Non-linear campaign strengthened by cinematic voice-over and animated cut-scenes.
  • Built-in full-featured mission editor enabling gamers to create and share missions and campaigns.
  • Multiplayer combat over LAN and Internet with full support of command options, all types of units and mission editor.

I've had a look at some of the screenshots of the upcoming game, and I have to say, I'm very impressed. It's due to be released on May 25th 2001... I can't wait.

Tuesday, March 13, 2001 0:06 AM

News Updates: Contrary to popular belief, I am still alive, just a little worse-for-wear, after last Saturday's skirmish at Sopley. The new M870 had a decent test, and has won my approval, but I'll document all that in its own 'soon to come' review. Congrats go out to the DoG Team, who played a marvelous day, and made a great opposing team. Oh well, now I've got 2 weeks till the next skirmish. This is great, as it'll take that long for the bruises cuts, and grazes to heal. =)

Updates around the world: Over at Billy Bob's you'll find news of some new pistols coming out, including several new 1911 variants, these include models by Western Arms, and Tanaka.

Over at Ilendil's Airsoft Page, you can find some new reviews of the "Systema M16A3 LE" and the "Cb-625 chronoscope".

At BlackRain7, there are pictures of the new "Phantom Aug" kits from Airsoft Extreme. According to their site, the kit allows you to change the barrel length, from a short carbine version to a longer sniper version.

Airsoft.org updates: The forums over at Airsoft.org have been completely reworked. You can find the new format here at http://forums.airsoft.org. It would appear though, that they are not quite ready, as the page currently reads:

"This board is closed at the moment. We are updating our topics. We are back online at 20:30 GMT"

Thursday, March 8, 2001 8:37 PM

Updates at Dentrinity: Again Den have added another few fine pieces of equipment and accessories to their stock list, here's a list of the recent additions:

Click here to go to the DenTrinity website
  • Pre-install service before shipping: Progear Reinforced Gearbox with full Systema parts
  • KSC Socom MK23 Phase II Slide and Barrel
  • Factory Shadow AUG Silencer Kit Available
  • TM P90 coming soon

'The Q Project' Updates: The US airsoft retailer, "The Q Project" now sell Classic Army MP5's. These MP5's get a complete 'Q Project' overhaul, as each one is lovingly checked, tested and re-tuned before shipping. Check this page for more information.

"...At Q, we believe that the meeting of two highly recognized airsoft manufacturer's parts, namely Marui's OEM components and Classic Army's durable components, i.e. metal receivers and reinforced gearbox, would bring about a quality AEG for both survival gamers and collectors. We therefore offer a value package that meets our QC, called CA by Q. All of the Classic Army MP5 variants that we sell have been pre-inspected and retuned with great detail..." Click here for information on the CA sold by Q Project

They also have a nice review of the Tokyo Marui M16 Stoner Rifle, better known as the SR-16.

"Hatchet's Beginner's Guide to Airsoft": New to airsoft? Don't know your shemagh from your DPM's? Then go to Hatchet's new set of pages, and have a good read and a bit of a laugh.

Wednesday, March 7, 2001 3:37 AM

Airsoft Dynamics website update: The Airsoft Dynamics website has undergone a complete redesign here's some text from their email I recieved today:

"...our long awaited new website is here. We hope you enjoy it. It has taken us over 6 months to create , it consists of over 600 pages of information and over 500 products for ALL your Airsoft needs. The new website comes complete with the following:
  • Shopping cart facility
  • Secure 128bit SSL Ordering server
  • Online ordering for Switch, Solo Mastercard, Visa and Visa Debit
  • Information on ALL our custom parts and services
  • Full information on ALL the AEG & GBB range of guns including "Real Steel information"
  • Printable Order forms
  • Easy to use navigation system with website map without the use of frames

..."

I have to say, that's it's an incredible change, their webpages now load much quicker, and they have obviously spent a great deal of time, energy and effort on the whole site's design. I'm going to be keeping a good eye on them, as we plan to get our next load of airsoft weapons in the summer, through them.

NEW Remington M870 arrived! The M870 arrived today, courtesy of ParcelForce... and a customs/tax charge of £45 ! It does however bring a good point forward. If you order and receive an item from overseas DO NOT use it, until you have thoroughly checked it to make sure it's complete working order.

I fired the M870 a few times when I got it unpacked, and loaded with gas, and discovered it was shredding bb's. What had happened, was that, in transit, the inner barrel had become dislodged, which meant the bb's couldn't leave the breach properly, they got split in 2 when they hit the misaligned end of the inner barrel. The half of the bb that got into the inner barrel then got coughed out the end of the barrel. It looked rather pathetic at that point.

So take it from me: Check everything before you fire it - I'd even go as far as to say, that a complete strip down is in order, as I also found that a few screws on mine were loose. I hate to think of what might shake loose in an AEG during transit.

The M870 is going to be used this weekend against another local team at an urban site, I'll write a review after I've 'whooped' some ass with it. =)

Monday, March 5, 2001 11:30 PM

new M870: The new Remington M870 is here in this country, and from what I can gather it's still sitting in customs. Although it only took roughly 15 hours for the package to reach the UK from HongKong, it now has to sit in Heathrow (at least I thinks it's Heathrow) until it clears customs. My understanding is that ParcelForce deliver HK Speedpost parcels in this country, but it's dificult to get this confirmed. - Does anyone know who handles it?

Site Problems: Some good news for the week; my problems with the hosting server have been fixed, so I can commence regular site updates...

New Maruzen M11: I spotted this over at Billy Bob's: Maruzen are releasing a new M11 full-auto GBB machine pistol. It's based on much the same design as their Micro Uzi. It is apparently going to be built as a "Type U GBB" - I have no idea what this means, as I don't speak Japanese at all, all I know is that it should be a fairly reliable full-auto gas blow-back, as it has been based on a tried and tested design.

New pistol from WesternArms: Over at BB Land you'll find news of a new WA pistol - the M9000s. It seems to be a new compact Beretta replica, again if anyone speaks Japanese, I'd appreciate a translation. This is all I could get from an online translation service I use:
"...Non- to pass, the root ?WA Mark?Law, immediate ? ? ? right data sum ? surface procure opening ? stairway, ? ? The time it comes out, ?, the ? ignorance road. Resident in ? ?, Atetsu main point sequence flight?Characteristic ?WA M9000 SMark reason. Non- to pass, presently time ? ? ??Group on Ryo and discernment heaven ? main point, resident in Ahead ? ? ? ? child,???......It passes, the ? heaven?re-$$ln? ...... ^ hbar ^...."
(The symbols represent untranslatable characters/symbols)

Click me for a larger image

The new WA M9000s

I think that you can now see why I am somewhat strapped for information. The above text seems to have lost about 99.9% of it's meaning in translation. It's still rather funny how useless modern technology can be at times.
Sunday, March 4, 2001 9:25 PM

Site problems: There is currently an issue with my hosting server, and for some reason the FTP service appears to have crashed. I hope that this sorts itself out by Monday night (I am editing this via a secure telnet session). Because of this issue, I'll only be able to change the news page until this problem is fixed.'

CA Metal Body for G3: If anyone's thinking of fitting a Classic Army metal body to their G3 variant, they may like to checkout the new inhouse review of the CA kit, over at Airsoft Players.

Problems with new forums: Again, it's nice to see people using the forum page. The problem with the forums section has been fixed, here's the update from the CEO:

ISP Problems Update
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you may be aware, we have recently been having network difficulties. This email is to let you know exactly what happened, how we discovered it, and what we are doing to minimize the possibility of any future disruption.

What Happened?

Our ISP (eManage) provides our cage and bandwidth. They recently went through a corporate reorganization, and were subsequently acquired by a much larger parent company (Acropolis). However, the transition was not as smooth as we had all hoped. During this time, we were also moving and upgrading all of our old servers to faster and more reliable machines. All these separate issues led to a situation where we were using a lot more bandwidth, and this in turn led to firewalls being overloaded and network failures.

Discovering The Problem...

Since Acropolis employees were not completely familiar with the existing network, it took more time and effort on everyone's part to identify the problem. After many days and nights of testing, we found the problem and replaced the hardware. Today was the first day after our upgrade and, ezboard is running very smoothly, even during peak times. In fact, we are running more smoothly than ever before.

The Future…

We are meeting with our new ISP team this coming Monday to make plans to ensure our ongoing network reliability. We will be purchasing newer and more powerful hardware as well as bringing in other network feeds to serve as a backup. We have traditionally had over 99% uptime, and even with our recent problems, we still maintain this high level of service. We are absolutely committed to making ezboard the most reliable and powerful community platform on the planet.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these last couple of weeks and we know you will be happy with the steps we have taken for the future.

Regards,
the ezboard team

Dentrinity order: The new Marushin M870 shotgun is here in this country! Here's the news from the HongKong SpeedPost website:

"...The item (EEXXXXXXXXXHK) arrived at its destination country on 2-MAR-2001 and is being processed for delivery to the addressee. ..."

Here's hoping that the parcel arrives here on Saturday, as it would be the perfect end to a really horrible week.

New gun news at Tokyo Marui: Billy Bob has posted some new info about the specs and information for the new TM P90. There's also some info about a new pistol from TM - the "Samurai Edge 3 Berry Burton Model". Here's a snippet of info about it:

"...Samui Edge will feature a 4 port compensator, a under frame rail for attaching lasers and tac light, Novak sight and a 32 round extended magazine. It will come in it's own aluminum presentation case. It's due out in April..."

WA "Protector": BlackRain7 have updated their website with some information up about some new, custom WA pistols. They've started off with a page for the Wilson Protector Stainless model WAS-2001, apparently all the original models that came out were sold incredibly quickly. I can't make out from their site if they mean it's going to be re-released by WA or not.

New Project Concept: I found an interesting concept for a project. - A shotgun pistol, that's made from a cutdown Mossberg M500. Personally I don't think I could bear cutting one down myself, but they do look rather nice. You can actually buy the real thing from Serbu.com, which funnily enough, would probably be cheaper than the airsoft model.

Here's a snippet from their webpage:

"...The gun holds two 2-3/4" or 3" shells in the magazine, plus one in the chamber. The 16.5" overall length, 6.5" barrel and spring-locked foregrip, which pivots out of the way when not in use, make for a very compact package. As far as we know, this is the shortest 12-gauge pump shotgun available..."

As an side, they also have a rather funny page, where they destroyed two lawnmowers, once with was shot with a .50cal, and another by an AK47 with a drum-mag.

Problems with new forums: It's nice to see people using the forum page. As people who are using the forums have probably spotted, there's a problem with the speed of the forums. This is known by EZ-Board, the folks who host the board. Here's a quote from their CEO:

Recent ISP problems
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the last couple of weeks, we have been having major problems with our ISP. We are extremely disappointed with their level of service and we know its causing major problems for our users.

However, switching ISPs is very difficult, costly and time consuming. We have been working closely with them to resolve these issues.

Tonight, they are going to replace their routers and tomorrow we will be closely monitoring the network. The problems seem to occur only between 1 PM and 4 PM (PST).

We are sorry we have to again tell you of these issues, but we know you like to stay informed. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

New gun's: Good news! - The Remington M870 has been shipped from DenTrinity, it left HongKong today.

P90 news: There's a new page up at Tokyo Marui, which has a few technical images of the famed TM P90. At least this proves that TM have finally got the designs finalised and some working prototypes out. I've still not found any news, or heard of, when we can expect it to be released either here or in HongKong.

There's a couple of rather nice wallpaper's of the P90 you can download on the TM P90 page too. They are available in both Windows and Apple Mac' formats. The Windows version is compressed using the 'Zip' compression format, and the Macintosh version is compressed using 'Stuffit' .

Websites around the world: A funny quote I found on AirsoftZone: "There is no News in March 2001" . Well as I think you can see above, I have at least found some news for the month =)
