ICS metal MP5 folding stock: Calvin over at ICS has sent over details of their new solid metal folding stock for the MP5 series. When I reviewed the TM MP5RAS sometime back, the stock was the one item I wasn't that impressed with, so it's nice to see ICS stepping up and making one that you can "...beat an elepant to death with". ^_^

"...we have a new product for the airsoft world, which can fit in nicely and tightly onto Marui and ICS's MP5. Now you can have the chance of convert your MP5, whether is a A-series or SD series MP5, into a versatile, compact gun. ..."

S.I.B. - "Stoner in Black": Clarence (aka Airsoft Surgeon or 'C') has updated his Stoner page with more information and pictures of the production version of his won custom Stoner. The final version comes in black (and with a free 'flashey thing' - okay, only kidding ^_^).

Whilst you are over at Clarence's webpage, be sure to checkout the M249 para stock "...a convertible stock for your TOP Minimi M249 or MKII version. The whole piece is made of 6061 aircraft aluminum as shown in the pictures and the final finish is in black anodized. Installation is very simple. Just take out the two stock pins, replace the standard stock by the retractable buttstock and insert the stock pins back at the place.". Price, is 378USD, and there will only be 10 made, so be sure to get in quick. ^_^ On a similar note, I've just put online Herman's (aka DolphinCommand) article about the history of the real Stoner.

Ruger MK1 review: I've just added a great review of the silenced Marushin Ruger Mk1 written by Spook, the same fellow who wrote the CZ75 review. For the latest on this rather efficient and loveable NBB read the rest of the review:

"...Marushin had crafted a finely-made replica of the Ruger MK1, but with a “quiet” twist — they had integrated a built-in metal sound suppressor and appended “Assassins Silencer Model” to the name. The reason, I’m guessing, that they called it “Assassins” is because they named it after a 1995 Hollywood action caper with the same title, though neither the box packaging nor the manual has any reference to the movie. The film starred Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas, two actors best known for their action movies rather than their acting abilities. It’s been several years since I’ve seen the movie, but I do remember Sly wielding a suppressed .22 pistol..."

New issue of FPS on it's way: Mike (Publisher FPS Magazine) has been kind enough to let me know that the next issue of FPS is on it's way out. In this issue you'll find the following features (and more: "...It is not 100% complete, but we needed to let you know that we are still working our butts off for our readers." - FPS):

Reviews: Thompson M1A1
Reviews: Original SWAT Boots
Articles: Silencers and the BATF
Tech Tips: AEG Batteries
Tech Tips: Upgrading the APS2V
Interview: Green Mountain Rangers
Interview: Matadores Airsoft Club

Please do visit the FPS website to read more about the magazine (oh and how to win a TM Super 90 ^_^).

Sopley updates: I've just received this update from the runner of Sopley's website: "Latest news from Jay is that the 10th of November is going to be a Lo-Cap Day, love it or hate it, hope to see you there."

Forums upgraded: Our website forums have now been upgraded to version 7, which means that there's been a heap of security upgrades (always a good thing), and among a few other features, you can now chat to anyone on the forums. To do so - simply click on the 'join live chat' link at the top of the forums page. Do note that this is a separate chat utility, and only intended for forum dwelllers. You can also chat to the rest of the UKAN members by clicking on the chatroom link to the left. ^_^

Click here to visit SACSAC Updates: SAC's website has been updated. Thanks to Ben (the SAC Editor) for letting us know. Here's the latest from Ben (my apologies for the late update - but I missed the email in my inbox):

"...The 5 Day Enduro event has been reviewed and is now online to read. This document has around 40 pictures taken during the 5 days, so you get a better insight into the event. The AGM (Annual General Meeting) minute by minute article has been uploaded, so people can read what went on. Around 30 new pictures have been added to the picture gallery and peoples member status details have been updated...."

New review: I've just completed the preliminary review of the Copia 'Finder'. Most people won't have seen these, but they are a new tactical torch manufacturer in China, and their products have surfaced for sale on Wargamers. I was lucky enough to be sent one of the 'Finder's for my own perusal. The result? Well you'll have to read the full review to find out ^_^

"...The idea: Okay how many of you out there use torches on your Airsoft gear? Lets see a show of hands.. right now how many people have actually bought the CR-123A batteries for them? Don't you just wish that someone made a rechargeable battery that you could replace your two fiendishly expensive 123A's with? Well look no further. Ladies and gents I bring you the "Copia Finder"...."

P90 boxmag review: LoneStarAirsoft have a review up of the new P90 Boxmag (thanks go to Barry Gilbert for dropping me a line about his review). If you're a P90 lover, or just curious as to how this new addon actually works and performs, do read on:

"...Until now this was the only option to use larger batteries with the P90. First Factory has developed a Box Magazine that addresses the battery shortcomings and gives you 1500 bbs to play with. I ordered mine the day it showed up on Den Trinity for 90$. I had just purchased a P90 off Ebay that did not come with batteries or magazines. The box mag was the solution to both problems. There has been a bunch of speculation running around the net as to how it works so hopefully this review will clear up some of it..."

New releases out: For anyone that hasn't spotted the Maruzen Vz61 Scorpion is out (just don't use HFC22 in it ;) ). Wargamer's have also announced that they'll have the Marui MK23 Fixed Slide in on 3 Nov, 2002 and the new Marui G36 Advance at the end of the year.

New CZ75 review: What better to adorn the news page at the end of such a busy week, than with a new review? Spook has kindly sent in a lengthy review of the KSC CZ75, with comparisons between the two versions that KSC currently produce. Here's a brief taste of the full review:

"...The 1st Version (v1) is a copy of the real CZ75 Model 1, while the 2nd Version (v2) is a copy of the real CZ75 Model 2. Now KSC released v2 before v1, thus the discrepancy in the numeric order. This numbering system is the same as with their Beretta M93R v1 and v2, with v1 being a replica of the first release of the real steel M93R. Get it? With 2 coming before 1, you would think KSC is counting down to something!...The CZ75 v1 comes in exactly the same box as with the v2. I guess KSC figured that the exterior appearance of the guns were so similar that it didn’t warrant a redesign of the packaging. Or maybe they were just cheap. The gun comes with a manual, BB loading tool, hop-up tool and small bag of BBs. The manual is also from the 2nd Version gun..."

More from TM at Placon 2002: SpaceCowboy has sent in further pictures from Placon2002 this time the source is GameSpot Japan. The SIG 226 gas blow-back is set for a 2003 release, and features a lower rail mount, variable hop-up, and custom grips and sights.

Sadly the P226 shown at Placon by TM was only a mock up, and therefore non-functional. Also mentioned on the same pages is that the proposed release date for the G26 Advance is the middle of December 2002. A big thanks go out to mobius1 over at the UKAN forums, for letting me know that the release date of the MK23NBB form TM has been given as November the 1st. Cost is 15,800 Yen for the MK23, and 2980 Yen for spare mags.

TM Also announced a rather strange item called a 'deceleration adapter' thingy. The idea behind this is that for indoor games this adapter can be fitted to an AEG to slow down the muzzle velocity of the BBs fired. Priced at 1,980 Yen it slows BBs down by 40-50%. TM haven't given a release date as of yet.

The image to the right shows what is believed to be this adapter, and from what I can make out is designed to be fitted to the now fairly common ALICE/14mm adapters.

More G36 info: Digging around further at GameSpot Japan I came across the photos shown below. Taken at the TM booth, they show in greater detail the construction of the now complete AEG design. If you notice to left of some of the photos there's a sign saying 'no pictures', so I can only assume that TM want these details kept quiet, for what reason I really don't have a clue. A you can see the G36c AEG is built on a solid metal chassis, so is sure to be a strong piece of kit.

P90 boxmag updates: I have received some correcting info regarding the P90-box mag from FirstFactory as seen on AirsoftShop (thanks go out to Marc Scott for the info). The box mag uses the clockwork mechanism of the M16 mag (either a 300 or 190 version) to feed the BBs as it has no mechanism of its own.

The battery is hidden in a battery bag (supplied) and fits where the normal P90 mag would lie under the red-dot sight. The box mag hop feeds the M16 mag until it's empty, and then uses the BBs in the M16 mag itself (obviously when the M16 mag is then empty you can swap mags and fire off another 160/300).

The latest from TM at Placon 2002: Regular readers may recognise the design of these images. TM distribute brochures at each event they go to, and at Placon 2002 they released the following images and details. These images have been kindly supplied by LA Gunshop in liaison with SpaceCowboy. I'll start from the top. :) Click on any picture for a larger version.

TM G36c, well this was famous even before it was launched. TM's latest work looks set to be solid. I've already had reports that the stock has been stress tested up to a load of 100kg, and the internal frame is all metal. The G36 features a lower RAS mount rail, a "short four prong flashhider", and a folding stock with a rubber stock pad. The backsight is also a flip up design. Internally the G36 will take the a standard MP5SD series fit cell pack, this goes inside the front handguard. The magazines, taking a leaf from both the P90 and SIG AEG's mags feature dummy rounds inside, are transparent, and clip together. Hicaps will be transparent (like the P90, and will almost certainly have a later release date than the AEG itself). Here's hoping that the Mags are more robust in design that the SIG551/550. Stock FPS is listed as 80m/s, with a weight of 2850g (excluding battery), length is given as 718/500mm. Release date is expect to be late 2002 to early 2003, and it's more likely to be the latter. Please note that the side RAS panels and vertical grip are not standard and must be purchased separately.

Next up is the TM G26 Advance GBB. As ever taking the public by surprise they are releasing a variant of their highly popular and reliable G26. The new version features a longer inner barrel (107mm), adjustable front sight, Novak type rear sight, compensator and comes with a grip extension addon can take larger 25 round magazines. There's also a rail under the barrel for fitting a wealth of accessories.

MP5 series updates. TM have updated their entire (non SD) MP5 line, bringing it into spec with the MP5 RAS design. TM MP5A4/5s will now all come with a reinforced cocking tube, updated backsight, and a QD muzzle, allowing the fitting of the TM Knights silencer.

TM have released a new SW PC536 springer (RRP 2800Yen), which will come in various 'air cocking' versions (hopup, higrade, etc.). The new version comes with original markings, rather than the previous SW editions from TM that featured 'copyright defeating' spelling errors. The CombatDelta EBB is on it's way out (RRP 2980Yen), but this time now in silver. The TM Mk23 NBB is also featured in the product literature, sadly there's no new news or release date mentioned there.

G36 unveiled: TM have now officially unveiled their long awaited G36c (source TokyoHobby). As you can see the new product features a host of metal parts, transparent mags and plenty of RIS rails (basically TM's selling points on this new model). Do note that the RAS grip is a separate addon, and will have to be bought separately. You can also see the gearbox chassis in the photos, and it's good to know that it looks fairly standard. Click on any of the photos below for a larger version.

AirsoftShop updates: AirsoftShop has been updated with new stock, including the P90 'box magazine'. Now I'm not sure how 'real' this addon is, but it got me interested in it.

The product is from FirstFactory, and can take 1500 rounds, and up to a 9.6v 3000mah battery. From what I can deduce, the readymag-style M16 mag contains the battery, whilst the BBs themselves are in the box system where the normal P90 bag goes. You get no remote switch for the boxmag, so my assumption is that it's mechanically driven. There's also an extension leed to connect the new battery to the internal wiring. I can't be sure, but I believe that you'll need to buy get a donor P90 mag, and M16 mag to use the upgrade as they aren't shown on the in-the-box parts list.

RRP is set to around 115USD which isn't bad for increased battery and ammo space. As ever people either love or hate the P90, and the same can be said for this addon. Having been on the receiving end of TM's newest AEG (design, not release), I can see that this upgrade will be popular.

ICS AN/PEQ-2: Calvin over at ICS has very kindly sent in news that they are shortly to release their own version of the popular AN/PEQ-2 LAM. The new LAM unit can "...load up to 12V battery, and with our ICS laser unit, you can fit directly on the AN/PEQ-2 unit. This unit will sort out the problem of any AEG that lack of battery juice. It can easily fit onto the standard 21mm rail..."

On a further note ICS have revamped their website, although the 'English' link doesn't work at the moment. Curious point of note ICS stands for 'I Chih Shivan' - I didn't know that. ^_^ In their latest product updates there's a set of new tactical gear, including a decent looking holster that can take some beefy pistols, such as 1911 varient's with lamps etc.

FirstFactory updates: There's been some updates over at FirstFactory. On their 'what's new' page you'll find details of the new KSC SW M945, the M945 is set for a November release, sadly no price is decided as yet. There's also a pokey pocket size 1911, the Detonics .45, but not just any ordinary GBB - it's a Marushin 8mm. :) Price for the .45 is set to 9,800 Yen for black, and 12,800 for silver.

The fixed slide TM Mk23 NBB is also mentioned, with a price of 15,800Yen, no release date is mentioned, but several sources have mentioned a November release date. The KSC M93R version2 is listed for a mid-October sale, so expect that one out soon! KTW's Type 38 Infantry rifle is set for an October release, but is unlikely to be popular with westerners. Sadly the Systema TUBB2000, and Hudson Jericho 941 release dates are still unknown.

Last but certianly not least is the APS2EX - this is the long awaited new APS2 from Maruzen that we mentioned some time ago. The new APS2 looks a lot like the Sniper Version, but is actually quite different.

The EX model comes with a fluted outer barrel, Weaver scope rail, a completely new reinforced aluminium cocking handle, hopup (similar to the SP2), new metal trigger guard, and the all new 'EX cylinder stopper'. The cylinder stopper seems to be much like the FF quick takedown trigger unit, allowing quick cylinder removal. Price is set to around 39,800Yen, but don't expect more than 1J out the box, as it should come under ASGK guidelines (but you can always upgrade it). Now that the new APS2EX is on it's way out, keep an eye out for the new spring/air cocking M870 shotgun range from Maruzen. ^_^

Work at WolfArmouries: WolfArmouries have a job opening for someone looking to work in the UK Airsoft retailer industry. Here's the latest from the guys at Wolf:

"...Situation Vacant: A Casual sales position has become available for someone with a good knowledge of airsoft and over 16 years old. The job will be Mondays and Thursday (extra shifts will be sometimes available). Applicants must have sales experience, have handled cash, presentable, punctual and must be a team-player. Applications should be directed to either Max or Sandy via telephone ( 0870 7549653)..."

Thompson review: I've just put online a review of the TM Thompson M1A1, written by G Man. This Marui classic is somewhat understated, and don't forget that it's a needed purchase if you plan to build your own PulseRifle. ^_^

Here's a brief snippet:

"...Two soldiers come through the door, you've got the Thompson at the patrol position. You shoot the first one with a controlled burst and then switch to the other … too late you realise that they were on your side! Still, maybe next time they'll be quicker to identify themselves...."

ANGS AN/PEQ-2 LAM update: Keita Moriwaki has kindly confirmed that the ANGS AN/PEQ-2 LAM unit is indeed a box dummy LAM, intended for storing a battery. Sadly it doesn't appear that the unit is designed to take a stadard laser unit.

Site updates: I've tidied up the retailer reviews today (in with the other updates), and updated the TokyoHobby review with some changes that [ORCA]442 has submitted. Each retailer review also links to its own comment area in our forums for any reader feedback.

As I thought it might be, the release of Arnie'sAirsoft TNG is going to be pushed back a few days. There's just not enough time in the week to get everything I want done and I'm not going to release a half-complete site revamp... yup I'm moving all the content here into a better organised design, and adding a few new and updated features. ^_^ If you'd like to help out with feedback, ideas and testing of the design then please register your interest here.

Armoured Gallery updates: Armoured Gallery have updated their website with a few custom/new product updates:

Colt Gold Cup National Match - Costing 207,800Yen this pistol comes with a "blue-black alumite finish", the slide and frame are make from Aluminium, an "Elliason" sight system, and all the correct markings and logos of the Series70. It also comes with a wide trigger and custom grips. Oh.. and there's only a limited run of 20 going to be made. As ever gorgeous items such as this come at a wallet breaking price, but it does look great!

Other updates include, the 'Super Real Trigger Guard', which is a replacement trigger guard bar for the M4/16, the P90 ring sights (previously mentioned here) at 39,800Yen, the 'Fiberite Six Position Telescoping Stock Assembly' - a new BushMaster-style stock the the M4/16 series at 29,800Yen, and the LE Tactical Stock for the M4/16 at 11,520Yen.

Raging Bull updates: I've updated Allen's (aka DumboRAT) Marushin RagingBull 8 3/4in review with a bunch more text. The preview is now very long, but it still isn't a complete review. ^_^

International BLOK distributors? The world distributors for BLOK protective gear (such as the BLOK helmets) have contacted me as they are looking for international distributors for the BLOK line.

If you aren't familiar with BLOK, have a read of my BLOK helmet preview. If anyone is interested in becoming an international dealer (i.e. not in the UK), please do drop Mike a line via email.

TM MK23 NBB release date: The release date of the long awaited TM Mk23 NBB pistol has been 'leaked' by AirsoftDynamics. The release date is set according to AD to the 1st November 2002. If you are in the UK, prices look set to be around "110GBP [for the gun itself], and the spare mags are 30GBP". The package comes with a hardcase, LAM silencer, a mag and the pistol itself. Personally I can't wait to try it out myself.

Yar! 8mm BOOM!RagingBull pre-review: Allen (aka DumboRAT) has sent in some photos of one of his latest aquisitions, the Marushin RagingBull 8 3/4in, which compliment his wonderful pre-review of the piece that I've just uploaded. Again, please note this isn't a finished review - at least not by Allen's standards. ^_^ Keep an eye out for the longer/full review coming soon.

"...First, of course, you won't be able to replace the grip with, say, a real-steel wood grip (but then again, why would you want to? as anyone who knows anything about the Taurus Raging Bull knows that the recoil-buffered handgrip is one of this item's unique trademarks)..."

eBay ban Airsoft sales: eBay UK are now removing all sales of "Replica or imitation firearms", and this includes Airsoft sales (source UK eBay policies). Strangely eBay in the US allow sales of Airsoft as long as they are sold in compliance with federal law (see the US eBay policies).

To be honest I see it as a bit daft really, given that all Airsoft items are perfectly legal in the UK. So please take this as a warning folks - if you place your Airsoft items for sale on eBay-UK's pages, your auction may well be terminated without warning. If you want to sell it for free I recommend using one of the UK forums such as here or at the UKAN.

ANGS AN/PEQ-2 LAM: ANGS are making their own AN/PEQ-2 LAM unit (Ruraltrooper kindly dropped the news in to me). You can see the prototype piccies on ANGS' own website.

Given ANGS past product history, and the fact that they call it a 'box' it seems likely that this is a high quality hollow plastic shell, intended to fit a standard laser unit.

Nazgul updates : Team Nazgul have updated their website with a new review of the Tanaka NBB G17, and an article covering the fitting of a metal body to the G3 SG1. The Tanaka G17 review is thoroughly readable, and it's nice to read about a Tanaka model other than the new revolvers that can hold gas. Both pieces are well written, and come with plenty of photos, which is always a good thing. ^_^

Jericho updated: I've updated the Jericho project pages with the latest production images, more specifically the new muzzle break design. The muzzle was made by a very generous company for me, and I would like to stress that they weren't doing it for advertising, they really are just that nice. Simply because they are so nice I am naming the anonymous donors as Dave and all the guys at Area51Airsoft. Thanks guys! ^_^

As you can see the design is almost perfect, but it needs a little refining, so I'm going to sit down tonight and rework the dimensions a bit more to get it closer in design to the original movie prop. Anyone looking to make their own version of this project will also be happy to know that duplicate parts will be available. I do need to finish it first though ;o) .

More wallpapers: Dr StrangeLove (www.drstrangelove.co.uk), the guy that started the wallpaper section, has sent in two new wallpapers for us. You can find them here.
AirsoftClub updates: AirsoftClub have updated their website with news of the M14 SpecEd going ahead, and of some news about Mr Chan, an Airsoft'smith of theirs, and some of his very detailed projects (M249 Mk2, Olympic Arms SIR and Green Beret PRI M4), the projects come under the rather comedy heading 'Boom Arms'. Check out their website for more info.

Slow updates? Sorry if the news is updated a bit slower than normal. There's good reason for this, 'Arnie'sAirsoft TNG' launches this weekend (finger's crossed). You may be wondering what this project is, but I'd like to keep it under raps until sometime this Sunday. Suffice to say you'll be seeing quite a few more articles. Anyway, mum's the word and all that. ^_^

IntruderShop updates: The guys at Guarder have been busy. Recently added to their updated website are:

- NB Series - Reflex Red Dot Sight
- Enhanced Loading Muzzle for WA .45 Series
- NP-6 Personal Combat Light
- SEAL 2000 - Modular Tac Vest
- Side mount rail for AK&SVD

Of particular interest to me was the new reddot sights, the specs are given as: "Including one CR2032 3V Lithium Battery. Weight: 67 g Overall Length: 122.5 mm Optical magnification: 1X Dot size: 10 MOA. RRP: USD 50.0" At 50USD for a decent reflex sight it's not to be sniffed at, and there may well be one appearing on my SpeedComp in the near future (for IPSC use). ^_^

Sheriff international sales: I've only recently noticed, but Sherriff (well known for their custom WA replacement parts) have an 'English International Orders' section running. It's still being updated with images, but there's a lot there, and it's always nice to see Japanese Airsoft related companies looking for orders from English speaking countries.

New wallpaper: Chubby Junkers (aka Matthew Ian 'Chubby' Knight) has kindly sent in some more wallpaper for our desktop adornment section. I've added it here.

AirsoftSurgeon M203 Assault Launcher: Clarence Lai, has sent in news of one of his latest designs, the M203 Assault Launcher. The new project is one inspired from a "...picture on Combat Magazine May 2002 issue that an Italian soldier in Afghanistan held a specialty M203 riot control weapon"

This isn't just your standard TacLauncher with an SP M203 bolted onto it. ^_^ This Launcher comes with a real Colt pistol grip and "full aluminium parts including the upper receiver, folding stock and outer barrel, capable of firing any 40mm grenade round that is loaded from the rear and has its own firing trigger."

Clarence has anodised the AirsoftSurgeon™ M203 assault launcher. It weighs 2.4kg, the length is 68.5cm and 45cm when folded. The piece comes with one Mosquito Moulds 8mm BB grenade, and the costs is USD945. Quite expensive for a grenade launcher, but I can appreciate the skill and labour poured into it.

British Nationals Practical Pistol: The British Nationals Practical Pistol match was held last Sunday at Glevum near Gloucester. I was lucky enough to get invited along, and myself and MrsArnie had a wonderful day competing with everyone there. I'm in the process of writing up a complete report, but I have a lot of photos, video and text to sort out, so it'll take a few days to get it online. Needless to say, a big thanks go out to all the organisers, if you are interested in something a little different from Airsoft skirmishing, Practical Pistol could well be your bag! Keep an eye out for the complete match report to see why.

AirsoftElite M249: James Tai over at AirsoftElite has emailed in some news about their M249 Para BPAMG. Their website has been updated with some information and some more close-up pictures of their new product. At this point they are interested in people who would like to pre-register an interest in purchasing the finished product. Sadly no price or ETA is mentioned at the moment. Here's what they had to say:

"...Ok boys and girls ...start saving the cash you're getting from your family and its time to purchase a piggybank or two. For those of you with credit cards now is the time to hold off swiping that magnetic strip until we unleash this baby. A 25% deposit will be required as we announce the MSRP and set the release date. One gun per retail customer only( two or more would be too heavy lugging around in the field anyway ! ) Order thru our authorized dealers and cancel anytime without penalties prior to our notifying you. As an added incentive, pre-orders will receive a 10% credit towards purchase of Airsoft Elite BB's..."

AirsoftShop updates: AirsoftShop have updated their product listings. Updates include the following bits of kit:

Low Scope Mount Base For MP5 & G3
Top M249 Flashider
Top M249 Minimi MKII Handguard
Top M249 Foldable Carry Handle
Top M249 Heat Cover
G&P 34 inch DX Rifle Bag
G&P 34 inch DX Rifle Bag
G&P M4/XM-177E2 Butt Stock Sling Mount
G&P Flip Up Front Sight For RIS
G&P Bipod Attachment For RIS
First Factory Sling Swivel for RIS Rail

Looking closer at the AirsoftShop website, it would certainly appear that it has had a recent make-over. Linked to on the front page you'll find a collection of photos taken at the Black Hole Show (2002). Included in the photos at the Black Hole Show are some images of KSC's new M93r model. Looks like it was somewhat overshadowed by the new KSC Elite IA release. From what I can see in the high res photos, the M93r's slide and outer barrel are somewhat different from the two KSC versions I have here. I'll save judgment until I see one myself though. ^_^

AirsoftClub updates: Algin at AirsoftClub have sent in as promised some more news of their new M82A1. They list it as the "First AEG M82A1", and I'm fairly sure that it is pretty much the only AEG M82A1 you can buy.

You can find all the new photos in their lovely multi-page article that lists all the features and specifications of their creation. It has room for any size battery you care to fit, up to a 16V pack inside, but as Eagle quite rightly puts it, you'd have to be completely crackers to want to use a 16V battery. ^_^ The guts of this creation are a TM M16 gearbox and grip. It comes with a 200 round mag, and has semi and full auto ability.

AirsoftClub updates: AirsoftClub have sent in news of their new project, leading on from the popular M14. This time they've set their sites on the M82a1, more specifically an AEG version.

Price for the M82A1 is set to 2x6240HK Dollars or 2x800USD (you pay half as a deposit, and the other half when it's complete, bringing the total to 1600USD). Do note that as each is built to order (by their Airsoft-smith gurus) there's a 10 week build-time/wait. Specs are given as "Battery power", a stonking great barrel length of 29" and an overall length of 57".

Algin (who works at AirsoftClub) assures me that closeup photos of the paintwork are coming shortly. Here's some photos of what I assume is a prototype, do note the last picture which clearly shows the TM mechbox inside the M82.

Whilst you're at the AirsoftClub website, be sure to checkout the news of a new guy they've recruited by the name of 'Long'. Long specialises in computer moulding (no not moulding computers... ^_^ ), so you can expect more innovations to follow shortly from them. Currently they have piccies of two armalites that he's made. Oh, and I'd better not forget their wonderful M14 AEG. I know quite a few of you fellows in the US have been after one for ages (particularly anyone that watched BlackHawk Down). The AirsoftClub M14 is now available as a special edition, as they've sourced the real M14 manufacturer to make wood stocks for them. Total costs for their M14 SpecEd is 800USD. Not to shabby for a custom full metal/wood fully custom AEG. Trust me I'd buy one if I had the cash right now!
Gunworx updates: AndyR, 'the man that can' (and frequently does), author of GunWorx, has been reading Janes Gun Recognition Guide again - which isn't a bad thing. Leafing through the pages he's stirred himself into his latest project, a 9mm conversion for the AUG. It looks a lot more esthetic that the 9mm conversion for the M4 to me. Be sure to checkout this wonderful project write up. Nice one Andy!

KSC M93r rumbles: Wallace Lau, another closet M93r lover (like me ^_^) dropped me an email about KSC's proposed M93r release. As mentioned the new release lacks the triple shot logo, or so I thought.

Now here's the weird part, Wallace has quite rightly pointed out that the KSC photos "...shows the redesigned 3-short burst sear (the long piece of metal that has 6 "hooks" on it)". So it does have triple shot ability...doh! Looking closer to the images (without beer goggles), Wallace is indeed right, you'll see that the lower of the two settings is triple, whilst when the selector is raised it is set to semi.

Wallace has also mentioned that the "new sear uses a much beefier spring to push it up as compare to the "1st Version" 93R, which I believe will make it more reliable. However what I can't make out is actually if the new gun will have full-auto". Thanks for the updates Wallace.
