How you can help: In light of the recent tragedies that have befallen the USA, I have added the a couple of links here, as I am sure that some of our readers will have been affected. The ribbon (to the left) links to a page that Lycos have created:

"...Charities need money for supplies. Victims and their families need support and prayers. And people are talking about how the U.S. should respond. You'll find important phone numbers, community links and contact information for agencies on this page...."

Another link I would recommend following is this. Amazon.com have setup a new system where you can donate money. As of the 11th of September they had collect ed over 4.6 Million USD. I was also kindly reminded recently that some local charities are now suffering from lack of support. Please continue to support your local and national charities too at this time. Thank you.

Website quiz/competition: Just a friendly reminder - any US retailers/skirmish sites looking to donate prizes to our 1st Anniversary Competition should get in contact soon, we have had a bunch of prizes donated for the the UK winners already (thanks!).

First things first - Happy Halloween folks!

Click here to visit ADNew from AD: James (aka Ghost Dog) over at AD emailed in again to remind us of a few updates over at their website.

"...Just when you thought you couldn't possibly add any more features to your APS2. First Factory have recently launched some rather flashy new products onto the market, including the long awaited left handed cocking lever and lightweight receiver.

As you would expect from First Factory all the products are made to the highest standards with the Airsoft Players in mind.

In addition First have also released a new scope mountbase for the APS2 series in an effort to eliminate any movement of your scope they have provided grooved tracks for the ring mounts to slot into.

We have also included the missing PSS2 Spring range, this now includes the SP130 and SP150 springs enabling you to take the APS2 right up to around 495 feet per second!

Finally we come to the new Front Rail Mount from First. This device will fit onto ANY Tokyo Marui AEG fitted with a standard 14mm threaded adapter and provides the functionality of 2 20mm rail mount bases. These can be fitted with torches, lasers and other devices. Truly another great idea from the guys at First..."

AD have also updated their webpage with images of the Maruzen MP5k GBB, and the RC TM M1A2 Abrams, and some new photos from Ambush airsoft. Check AD's news page for the latest.

New skirmish site in Durham: Good news for fellow Geordies - Dave aka Billyjoe has sent an email in to inform us of his new skirmish site in CoDurham. Here's what Dave had to say.

"...the site is part of a company called Paintball Pursuits and I'm sort of subletting a bit of thier site to run airsoft games. The site is based just outside Scotch Corner, County Durham. Green Fee for the whole day is £21 and lunch can be ordered before hand for about £2.00. First game is set for the 2nd of December and hopefully should have a few more games after Christmas. Anyone who is intrested should contact me via dangerous_daveuk@hotmail.com all enquires are welcome..."

CL retired: Herman (aka DolphiN Command) is currently over in HK, and sent over a quick spot of news that Clarence Lai of DENTrinity, has retired from the airsoft business and is now just teaching IPSC.

Click here to visit Airsoft CanadaAirsoft Canada updates: Eric (aka Primus) the Webmaster of Airsoft Canada, has been typing some work up, which is quite impressive considering that he's sadly currently recovering from an accident and only typing with his one good arm. You can now find a short review of the online gear retailer lightfighter.com up at Airsoft Canada.

Well all I can say is that Eric really is a man dedicated to his hobby. Good on ya Eric, and get well soon buddy.

Click here to visit Airsoft PlayersAirsoftPlayers updates: Pikachoad has updated AirsoftPlayers with some glorious bits and bobs, including another of 888's wonderful Airsoft reviews:

  • Latest NewsFlash! now available! Click the NewsFlash! link to see the latest issue.
  • APS Sporter Mark2 Review Posted! 888 sent in another nice review, this time of the APS Sporter Mark2 rifle. Check it out in their reviews section.

Click here to visit Airsoft GuideAirsoftGuide (re)Launched: Mon 29th marked the official (re)launch of AirsoftGuide, sadly we didn't have time to make a news post about it then, as we've been so busy, but to make amends here's the full spiel from our good friends at AirsoftGuide that S.L.B. sent over.

"...AirsoftGuide features the Gear Guide, which is THE most comprehensive listing of airsoft products you will find on the web. S.L.B. has put together a list of 295 guns and 617 accessories, all categorized for easy searching. Don't see something? Let S.L.B. know and he'll get it in!

All retailers all welcomed to enter data for ANY of the products listed, and we also have links to pictures, information, and reviews for the products. Right now we have 8 retailers that have added prices.

Stop by and check it out. Upload a picture of any of the products if you like, and if you have a review you would like mirrored, just let S.L.B. know..."

UK Airsoft Map updated: Frank has been very busy updated the UK Airsoft Map with all kinds of goodies. Thanks Frank!

You can now find the map updated with the latest skirmish site info, a 5 day weather check for specific areas, and links to online maps that give simple directions to each site.

The latest from our man in Japan: DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus) has sent over a bunch of titbits of news from Japan obtained by Young Fred at Sanko:

  • Hudson M3 Grease Gun. Hudson have faxed Sanko with the price, but would only say "first quarter of 2002" for it. Converted from the old Hudson model gun, the beast will have the new Maruzen made gas blowback internals (as used in the new MP5Kurtz) for those worried about Hudson's past rep with gas guns. 25,800 yen.
  • I was puzzled about the Toytech minigun news - I was sure I'd seen it differently elsewhere - and lo, from Toytech themselves. Model Minigun 138,000 yen. Electric BB minigun 258,000 yen (no firm release dates though)
  • Release date for the FN Minimi is now given as the 30th October.

MP5 Tactical Handguard comparison: We've just been sent a new review/article to place online. This time we have a MP5 TacHandguard comparison. The review covers the available replacements for your AEG including the SureFire, Guarder, ClassicArmy, and the G&P version.

The English version of this review was kindly translated by Roy. Excuse the odd spelling error, please remember that it's been translated from Chinese. The original version can be found here, and was written by Mustang.

"...One of the most unique qualities of the MP5 series I've noticed is, the more you throw onto it, the better it looks: be it red-dot scopes, laser sights, scope mounts, or a RIS, everyone can customize their MP-5s to their own personal needs/taste. However, the one thing that almost everyone seems to have on their MP5s is the Tactical Hanguard..."

New UK Skirmish site: Well it's not really a 'new' skirmish site, but it's the first I'd heard of them. Recently the site owners emailed about the existence of their skirmish site near Newquay in the UK: 'Alamo Airsoft Wargames' (www.alamoairsoftwargames.homestead.com), and their sister website 'Custom Airsoft Zone' (www.customairsoftzone.homestead.com) which is also of interest. Both websites are rather new, so don't expect huge amounts of content, but definately worth keeping an eye on.

(Sung to the tune of the A-Team) "If you're down in deepest darkest Cornwall, looking to skirmish, and if you can find them, maybe you can play, at Alamo Wargames.." =) So what you waiting for? Looking to skirmish and living in Cornwall? Give them a ring! Go on...

RedWolf updates: RedWolf have several updates up, including news and info about the KSC Glock 19, M249, MP5k GBB, M1A2 Abrams RC Tank and the KSC TMP Hard-Kick Version.

New from our Buddies at AirsoftNetwork: Here's the latest from Pikachoad and his crew, pop over to their website for the latest updates:

  • Stinger has posted the October Recon Report at Blackrain7's web site.
  • Airsoft Extreme new stock
  • L.A. Vickers Counter Terrorist .45 Custom from Sheriff
  • New Custom Guns at Rebel Troop

Marushin M1 Carbine review updated: Jason Harris (aka Meh-Lindi) has sent over a few updates to the Marushin M1 Carbine, be sure to read the latest.. including who the strange bearded fellow at CombatSouth is that gave Jason the M1 scope mount part.

Tuesday, October 23, 2001 1:20 PM

New M1 Carbine review: Jason Harris (aka Meh-Lindi) has been kind enough to write us a comprehensive review of the Marushin M1 Carbine (thanks Jason). This new review not only covers the finer points of the elusive Marushin M1, but details how to obtain and fit real steel M1 parts and accessories to make the M1 slightly more partical for skirmishing.

Go on have a read, and find out why this replica of the WW2 'oversized pistol' is such a gorgeous beast and a beauty to behold:

"...An M1 carbine - in fact Meh-Lindi's M1 Carbine - a fine beasty of an AirSoft gun. Or to give its full and illustrious title: The Marushin Gas Type Super Sonic Barrel U.S. M1 Carbine "MAXI". S'what it says on the box - no really...."

Guay Guay updates: Norman Hsu of GuayGuay has emailed in and asked us to put up a few more updates concerning their AK RIS grip, after a large number of UK bods emailed him asking similar questions. Norman has kindly emailed over a bunch of photos for the grip, and some more technical data.

AK47 RIS specs and information:

  • Made with #6061 Al-Mg-Si alloy
  • flat black hard anodizing body finishing
  • laser engraved markings
  • each has unique serial number
  • release date:end of this month

Click on one of the images to the right for a larger version.

"Catch the pigeon...": Hatchet's been a busy bod, and has updated his wonderful webpage, and bought a new domain to boot (http://www.tea-and-medals.co.uk). So why not wing over and take a look? Don't ask me about the domain-name - I just report the news. :o) (FYI here's the theory behind the news topic subject: 'Catch the pigeon' -> Mutley -> medals . Easy eh?)

Updates from AirsoftNetwork: Here's the latest from my buddies over at AirsoftNetwork:

  • OZ Airsoft have a new short review on the Western Arms Infinity Prokiller Mark II SV F5
  • Eddie over at Airsoft Shop has updated his stock to indicate that he too now has the new KSC G19 for sale
  • New poster over at the Classic Army Website of their full metal M4 AEGs

Click here to visit Guarder Intruder Shop / Guarder updates: Richard Chou of the IntruderShop WebDept, has very kindly emailed in with some updates. Firstly they kindly asked me to update our article covering the custom P90 battery, as "...the 'snake' battery (coined by one or customers at www.geocities.com/ronin_roy) was designed and produced specifically by us, and though a Cantonese 1700 mah version has been copied and is available on the market now, we'd still like to claim credit for the original concept of the 1500 mah P90 battery...".

Semi manufactured Guarder G26 metal slide and outer barrel.
Large Tactical Handguard with Rail for MP5 series

Richard also asked us to mention about some of the other popular products that they have either recently released, or still have in the works:

  • M4 Standard/SMG Length Convertible Reinforced Steel Outer Barrel (Real steel dimensions. You can find an in depth review written by Sgt. Chris Mancebo at the BR7 website)
  • Glock 26 Metal Slide & Outer Barrel (Made of CNC steel. As seen on DenTrinity as the "IS", Intruder Shop Glock 26 upgrade!)
  • Tactical Handguard for MP5 series (Which is made to real steel specifications/texture)
  • Large Tactical Handguard with Rails (Removable rails & vertical fore grip. Capacity of 8.4 1800~3000mAh battery!)
  • MP5 Quick Detachable Silencer (Made of CNC 6061 aluminum-alloy. It can be used with popular threaded 3-lug adaptor.)
  • MP5/G3 Series Quick Detach Scope Mount (Reals steel dimensions. Quick detachable design.)
  • SOCOM Silencer
  • Tactical Vertical Fore Grip
  • Airtight Rubber for WA Magazines (.45 Series)
  • Compact/Light Belt Slide Holster
  • Adjustable External Battery Pouch

They also have a few other new things in the works (that you can find on their website), that are well worth a mention:

We'd also highly recommend that if you have a free second that you visit their website, as it's very well designed and they also support English.

Click here to visit GuayGuayGuay Guay updates: Norman Hsu of GuayGuay has been incredibly kind and sent over some photos of their new RIS grip for the AK47. This product (although not necessarily original) is a new release from GG, and should come to be cheaper than any similar release (such as Mosquito Moulds). This new grip looks to be well built and robust. You can find the photo below, click on it for a larger version. Watch this space for more news from GuayGuay about their latest releases.

More custom goodness: Mark just emailed in (right before I submitted all the news updates) to tell everyone about some new imagery from the UK Airsoft-smith, TomAndrews (the man who brought you the Airsoft RPG7). The new updates include imagery of his Barrett .50cal and of his own custom impact grenades. You can find this all at Tom's website here.

"The Blair WASP Project" Kessler, of our local friendly Airsoft team 'WASPS', has been kind enough to email in to tell us about a new airsoft vid that they've put online (Just a word of warning, the video clip contains some bad language). So for some comedy M203 ANGS vs M9 Beretta action do check it out (Paul aka Kessler has the GBB M9 btw). You can download the complete video here.

Click here to visit ADNew from AD: James (aka Ghost Dog) over at AD emailed in again to remind us of a few updates over at their website. This time they have included news of the new TM releases that we mentioned here recently, including the Beta Spetnaz AEG, and the Mk23 Socom NBB. Check their news section for the rest of the update including news photos and expected release dates/RRP's.

Everything should be fixed now, fingers crossed, touch wood and all that. -Arnie

Click here to read the full review.New GB Tech MP5 QD Silencer review: RK00 (the nice guy behind AirsoftDepot), has written a review of the new GB Tech MP5 QD Silencer, so head on over to NEASG to have a read as to why you want to buy one now. ...no more screwing? :o)

"...When I first saw the MP5 QD Silencer I was floored by how realistic it is to the real steel version made by the very well known Bruegger & Thomet. Everything down the the markings was so realistic I had to have it. Not to mention, but who in the Airsoft world would love the ability to simple push a button and just slide a silencer on? That's right No more screwing to be done with this little beaut..."

Monday, October 15, 2001 7:25 PM

New CAW grenade review: DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus) has sent over a lovely review of the new Mosquito Molds (Craft Apple Works, or CAW for short) 40mm gas shell, affectionally named the 'Moscart'. Click the image to the right to read more.

The Moscart's current RRP is listed as 4,980 Yen and this gorgeous beauty is made from machined aluminum. Here's what DJ had to say:

"...Finally, I got a chance to try one of these beasts out and all I can really say of them is that both my First and ANGs grenades are going to be in the bits box within the hour..."

Just before you run off and read this review.. please remember that both DJ and myself are confirmed 'softing nutters, and both own M79's that we love dearly, so our judgement may be swayed just a tad... then again no-one has complained so far. :o)

Click here to visit ADNew from AD: James (aka Ghost Dog) over at AD emailed in and reminded me of a few updates over at their website. Head on over there and have a browse, just to remind you they are taking deposits for the G36 model kits - if you can't wait for TM to release their own G36 range sometime later next decade....

Currently of interest (including general website updates and improvements) you can find the following interesting bits and bobs online:

  • TM Mk23 springer 30 UKP offer
  • WA Shibuya Custom 'WA Light' product news and information
  • Hudson M3A1 Grease Gun GBB news and information
  • The Hudson IMI Jericho 941 GBB is also given a passing mentioned too.
  • There's also mention of a competition in the works (keep an eye on their website for that one)
Sunday, October 14, 2001 6:29 PM

Latest TM Products: Thanks to DJ Ashmore's (aka Nautilus) and his latest visit to Gunshop Mugen in Japan, we can proudly bring you imagery of the new TM releases that haven't even reached the shelves yet. Below you can find imagery covering the new TM M203 Tactical Launcher, the AK47 "ß Spetsnaz", the new BioHazard 'Ashford Gold Luger', and the new fixed slide gas Socom Mk23 "Proto". Click on any of the images below for a larger version.

Some extra info that can be gleaned from the posters: Like all shot-shell replicas from TM, with the Tac-Launcher you can store a spare shell (maybe two) inside the replica, with this model you put them in the grip. The TL's sliding stock is fully functional, and there's plenty of 20mm rails to attach wierd and wonderful scopes/lamp/laser kit to.

AK47B image coutesy of FirstFactory

Tokyo Marui 74->47b? Well it seems that even Mr Al Wanabi (a very experienced Airsoft retailer) can get things wrong - he's been incredibly kind and emailed in some corrections last night to say that TokyoMarui's new AK74 that he saw was actually an AK47 Spetsnaz Hardstock. (Thank you again Al!)

This new rifle is identical to the old TM Spetsnaz at the front end, but features a new hardstock. As mentioned yesterday this info was published by my buddies over at AirsoftNetwork.

Just to confirm everything Young Fred from Sanko emailed over the details of what has now been confirmed as the new TM AK47 Spetsnaz Hardstock (AK47B), it features a new shorter 250 round hicap mag, and a new front railmount. Release date is listed as December or January and the price will be 29,800 Yen. Expect this model to be (like the previous Spetsnaz) a limited edition run.

Well it just goes to show folks, news ain't for certain until the fat lady sings, sorry to get anyone's hopes up over the new release. On the bright side all of you folks out there with lovely custom 74's or SGW AK74 kits can breathe a sigh of relief. Don't worry, if we're wrong we admit it as soon as we know.

TM G36 AEG : FYI the TM H&K G36 AEG news is 75% certain, and is currently being checked out as I type this, if we can get some piccies of it, or some more certain specs we'll put it up the second we get it. On the other had, if we get an official denial we'll run that too.

The M203 TacticalOther new TM updates: In other new I've been sent in details of the other new product launches from TM. These new replicas will be in ARMS next month.

  • M203 Tactical with pistol grip and rail mounts (1?,???Yen)
  • BioHazard Code Verinica Luger P08 GOLD set (springers 9,800Yen - no release date)
  • Marui NBB gas SOCOM with suppressor and LAM unit (12???Yen)

The M203 Tactical has been seen before, you can see a prototype image of it to the left, and find a bit of a longer article that I typed up many moons ago by clicking on it.

First Factory Mag update: FirstFactory have updated their custom product news (which previously included the G3 hi-cap) to include their new AK47 motorized hi-caps, expect them to be hitting local UK/US shops shortly.

AKS74 image coutesy of Kalashnikov

Exclusive Tokyo Marui news: Well again remember that you've heard this all here first. Mr Al Wanabi has been incredibly kind and emailed in some news direct from HongKong, about TokyoMarui's new and unreleased products. (Thank you Al!)

You should hear about some, if not all of these products, in a future publication of ARMS magazine. Remember these are confirmed reports, and not just internet rumours.

TM have been working on and have almost finished their new AK74 AEG. It is unconfirmed as to whether they are planning on releasing the AK74M (below left) (5.45 mm Modernized), the AK74 hardstock (above right), or both - my guess would be the latter. It has however, been confirmed that the TMAK74 will be released, and the expected release date is early 2002.

AKS74 image coutesy of Kalashnikov

"...The AK74M sub-machinegun (shown to the left) is equipped with a folding plastic buttstock, which makes this weapon suitable for use in just about any combat situation, and designed with a standard fastening plate for mounting a range of sights, as well as the bracket for attaching the 6GD5 grenade launcher..."

Please remember that the exact contents of the TM AK74 box are unknown at this time.

Curiously enough, it would also appear that TM are also about to release a new custom AK47 (it looks almost perfect for CQB), checkout the news from my buddies over at AirsoftNetwork.

TM G36 AEG is in the works: It has also been confirmed that TM are working on their own H&K G36 AEG, as of yet it's unfinished, so the project (like a lot of things at TM) sadly may still never reach the shop shelves. Don't forget that if you can't wait you can always buy the Gunsimikichi G36 replica kits - just remember that the new TM models will be a lot more robust than any kit out there (when/if they are released).

CAW 40mm grenade update: Further to the news about the CAW grenade for you 40mm gas grenade lovers out there, we now understand that the RRP is 4,980 Yen, and the new prodcut from CAW looks to be worth every last Yen.

Wednesday, October 10, 2001 3:42 PM

Click here to visit ADNew from AD: James (aka Ghost Dog) over at AD has sent us in some more news. Some of this you may have seen here before but it's always worth mentioning something again, for anyone that missed it the last time round.

"...Good news on the Gunsimikichi G36 kits. We have recently ordered 6 models and expect delivery within 8 weeks. Some of these models have been reserved but a small number are still available. Please be quick if you would like to be one of the only Airsofter's in the country to own a G36 replica.

New products update! More communication from our sources in Japan have confirmed the release of some new gun models from Western Arms, Marushin, Maruzen and Hudson. We have not confirmed prices as yet but we will keep you posted here!

  • Maruzen MP5K Gas Blow Back. Released - Mid October
  • Western Arms Infinity 1911 IED 4.3 and 5 inch models. Both released mid October
  • Marushin Mk1 STD and Bull Stainless 90 Gas Blow Back models.
  • Penciled in for the December release, the M3A1 Grease Gun GBB from Hudson.
It is powered by Maruzen Advanced System (the system used for MP5K).
  • Also from Hudson, IMI Jericho 941 GBB is planned for release next spring.

As soon as we have confirmed prices on these guns we will post them here with more information and availability...."

Head1950 updates: Everyone's favourite custom part manufacturer (Head1950/KM) has updated their website. On their 'What's New' page you can now find details of the following items:

  • Ruger Mk1/Walther P38 thread adapter (features a generic KM thread)
  • Uprated valves for the Ruger Mk1 MAXI
  • Various new silencers and flash hiders
  • New 'Barrel Cleaner' spray can (price is, as yet, undecided)

Head 1950 have also added news of a custom silencer (aka the CIA rhinoceros onyx Mk2 silencer) that they have in the works for the Ruger. The expected release date is in late October, and the RRP is listed as 5800 Yen.

M134 re-release update: Michael Montesa (aka Stinger) has very kindly emailed in to confirm that sadly the M134 rerelease from Toytech is the non firing replica... ah well no one I know could afford to buy or run it anyway. :0)

News from afar: Our intrepid undercover agent in the east (DJ Ashmore aka Nautilus), has been hard at it collecting news for you all, here's the latest from our guru.

  • The Toytech M134 Minigun is due to be re-released, sadly though it is unconfirmed as to whether this is the BB firing model, or the 1:1 functional replica.
  • The Asahi version of the Accuracy International L96A1 (the US version as tweaked by Remington) goes on sale in December. There is no price for this replica as of yet. Click on the images below for larger versions of the photos.

Pictures of the new Asahi L96A1 (courtesy of Asahi)

Nautilus has also sent over some pictures of (what I assume is) a new model of the APS Grandmaster from Maruzen. This is designed as a target pistol, and therefore not really suited to skirmishing.. but then again I have seen people doing stranger things. Click on any of the images below for a larger version.

Pictures of the Maruzen APS Grandmaster

Latest news straight from Asahi: Again thanks to DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus), heres' the latest covering the release of the Asahi M40A1 and M700 (as below): The inner barrel will be 465 mm long and 6.01mm (that's going to be double checked) in diameter, will feature a variable hopup (brass), and use the APS 25 round mags (it's a hand cocked spring/air driven system). The replica's total length is 1090mm and the weight is listed as 3kg. Sadly no prices are listed as yet - but expect it to be wallet breakingly expensive.

Options for the rifle(s) include some new stocks - including fiberglass M40 and M86 stocks, and also an M24 style stock. Other parts include replacement reinforced metal parts, such as bolt handles, pistons, cylinder and air nozzles. Scope mounts and rings are listed as an option, so my assumption is that they don't come as standard - much like the SunProject M40A1.

Click here for the previewTanio Koba 10/22 preview at AirsoftPlayers: 888 has submitted another lovely preview of the Tanio Koba 10/22 rifle to AirsoftPlayers. This is a rather pricey, and therefore rather rare replica. This preview is for the Tanio Koba 10/22 type 111 Houge "Overmolded" version w/ silver barrel. You can find the preview article here:

"...I definitely got what I paid for, the initial test of this gun proves flawless. Cycles quick, no jamming, surprisingly consistent accuracy and good power. The detail and construction is absolutely superb..."

More updates: Now that I found out the problem and fixed the new webserver (it was my fault in the end), I can now upload some of the stuff that I've been just itching to get online.

Firstly heres the news and info that Matt (aka MobiusStrip) has sent in several scans of new bits of kit, including the new WA Infinity IED (including the new WA advert as found on the back of ARMS magazine this month), and the new Tanaka M629 variant (the 'Hunter') - which is actually rather ugly. Click on an image below for a larger version.

Custom scratch built RPG7: TomAndrews (a man of many a project, of many a skill, and of EliteActionGames) has sent in some new images of his new pet project, a custom built Airsoft RPG7... and not only does it work, but it's rather effective too. Tom has sent in a bunch of new imagery for me to put up, which you can find below.

As of the 11th of September they had collected over 4.6 Million USD. I was also kindly reminded recently that some local charities are now suffering from lack of support. Please continue to support your local and national charities too at this time. Thank you

We're moving folks: Well the time has come and we've outgrown our current server both in both bandwidth and storage space. we're in the process of moving everything to a nice new spanky server, which (hopefully) will be up and running within the next 48hours.

Don't worry the site should continue to function as you know it, but while the move takes place there may be a few 'issues' - please read below for an explanation as to any issues that may arise.

Not withstanding any technical misfortunes all email should come through correctly (hopefully). If there are any problems, or you don't receive any reply from incoming emails (all emails are answered), then please be patient and resend the email in a day or so, or send it to the backup email address listed below.

In the meantime our backup server http://arniesairsoft.cjb.net will work as will email to arnie@arniesairsoft.cjb.net.

The primary server address http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk and attached email addresses will work.. but will change over to point to the new server in the very near future. The web address will not change, just where all our info physically sits will. :o)

News udates: I'll post some news later on, but there's a new parcel on it's way here today, which I have to sit patiently here and wait for. There's also a huge amount of documentation and reviews that I will be adding to the website the second the new fileserver is alive and running.

Ask your's truly questions @ AirsoftPlayers: Here's your chance to ask me a question or three. Pikachoad (the nice bloke who runs Airsoft Players) has very kindly started taking interview questions for me, so if you have something you'd like to ask me, then login to AP and post your question... but play nice folks (pretty please?). :0) My answers to your questions should be up there in a week or two.
???Ask Arnie..???

Click here to visit RWClick here for the full reviewUpdates at RedWolf: It looks like the webmaster has been rather busy over at RedWolfAirsoft, there's a new, very competant and well though-out review of the WA SVF3.9, here's a brief quote, read the full review for more information:

"...With the popularity of WA’s own Hi-Cap Infinity SV pistols, it was the natural move for WA to design a full auto version of this popular line. Dubbed the Infinity Mk-II SVF3.9, WA’s latest release is essentially a converted Infinity Hi-cap with a 2-piece slide. At first glance, the Mk-II SVF3.9 looks just like any other hi-cap series pistol but closer inspection yields some significant differences."

Click here to see the Dragunov on the cusotm specials pageRW have also added a custom AK47 Dragunov-alikey conversion (perhaps because of the imminent PDI release?). The new custom replica is available in two versions, the Stock Power Package for 650USD and the Power-Up Package for 985USD.

This replica as mentioned is built around the TM AK47, to look a lot like the Dragunov and comes with an ergonomic real-wood integrated pistol grip and rear stock and an extended fore-grip. The barrel also features a full-metal outer, and a Dragunov flashhider. The wood stocks are apparently made from fine grain wood (they do look lovely in the images available).

The Power-Up version is the same as the stock version, but has been upgraded from 280fps to 520fps (Do bear in mind that the 520fps version isn't suitable for the UK market) , and includes an uprated 12V 2000mAh battery (which must be fitted externally), and tighter precision barrel. Both replicas retain semi and full auto functionallity.

As a side note RW have also updated their stock list. New to this update you can find 'gripsocks' for pistols, new combat gear and clothing, and some new metal silencers. Check their main page for more details. Oh.. and if anyone missed it there's also a new issue of 'Bite the bullet' on their website - new in this issue is 'how to hold your pistol', honestly it's a very good read.

No news on Monday? Well there was no news update yesterday, but we hate Mondays anyway (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). To brighten up today for you though, we have three new and exclusive bits of news 'n articles direct from Japan, courtesy of DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus). (Thanks DJ!) What more can you expect from the most updated Airsoft website in the UK? :0)

Sanko Sannomiya: DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus) has sent us over this lovely article (including photos) about another of his favourite local shops in Japan. Just check the image to the left to see some of their gorgeous kit in stock- for starters there's a custom 'MadMax style' M79 there. Here's what Nauty had to say - read the full article for more.

"...It occurred to me recently that, while First Factory were perhaps the all round number one airsoft shop in Japan, I was still shoveling lots of money down other places on a weekly basis and that – especially as some of these types are a shade more willing to do international mail orders – it might be worthwhile having a glance over at some of them. So we continue this irregular series with my local shop Sanko Sannomiya..."

Exclusive - M629 Performance Centre in Black: Another exclusive to us thanks to DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus). Nauty has sent over some lovely images of the new Tanaka M629 Performance Centre... in black! For those of you that shun "shiny spangly Hawaii-Five-O bits", and hated the NATO green version (why?) you can now get the M629 from Tanaka in this gloss black finish, that is absolutely stunning. So if you are after a decent revolver for Airsoft, just remember one word 'Tanaka' .. accept nothing less.

Click here for a larger imageNew 40mm shell: For anyone that reads this column will know, I'm a bit of a nutter and tend to aquire amazingly fun, yet sadly ineffective Airsoft kit (note the M870). Unfortunatley it seems that with the advent of this new 40mm shell (from CAW no less), my M79 will become effective AND fun.. bugger.

DJ Ashmore (aka Nautilus) has received the prototype of the new CAW 24 round grenade, and here's what he had to say to me:

"...I tell you my ANGs grenades are going in the bin after firing this new CAWs job. Apart from 24 rounds, she gas loads from the front into a catch locked chamber (No more rod and packing jobs) and she will lock to the currently available hop barrels (might be worth fitting one now). No word on price as of yet, but as I know, so will you..."

Click here to read the warningAll that glitters is not gold: You may remember some time ago, we posted DolphiN#1's news of the Marushin Winchester 1892, and shortly after that Nautilus mentioned that is had some 'issues' including gas leaks, and that there was a huge amount of them going back to the manufacturer.

Sadly 888 has confirmed this rumour over at Airsoft Players. Have a read of the review to see why you shouldn't touch this specific replica with a 40ft bargepole

New highcap mags in the work @ First: FirstFactory have updated their website with news of their new electrically driven hi-cap mags for TM AEGs. Currently listed are the G3 and the AK47 hi-cap. Expect to find them at your local FirstFactory supplied airsoft store shortly. (source AirsoftNetwork)

Click here to read the full reviewCustom Airsoft AT4 @ Florida Airsoft: Scully has been busy, and written a review for his rather large BB disperal device (otherwise known as a custom air-cannon built inside a spent AT4). Have a read of the review and a bit of a laugh (in a good way) at this awesomely devastating piece of kit.

You may recognise some of the folks mentioned in it. :0)
