JamesBonz
For years I've wanted to start airsofting, but what put me right off was the prices (I'm from Canada so everything is +$200) Recently I noticed an A&K M4 CQB on a local website for $299 http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_info.p...e3487f55887ad10 I always had my heart set on a CA M15A2 Carbine, but thats a price of $570.00, quite a bit more. My question is, is this thing worth it? Is this thing upgradable, I've heard it can take regular Marui upgrades, so a metal body and an m120% spring would boost it right up there, Right ? Any feedback would be greatly appriciated. ~Shawn
MP5SD5
Are you seriously thinking of spending $260 USD on that? I'm not familiar with canadian law, but if you can Import from hong kong, these go for $70 USD plus around $60USD shipping. A&K guns can take marui upgrades, but are not very well rated, you are better off getting a Jing Gong or Echo One.
Atomic
From my understanding, Canada cannot import individually. Non-firing replicas are illegal. Real steel is illegal. This leaves a nice gray hole for airsoft. Retailers who sell in Canada get shipments seized all the time, thus the high prices. The A&K is a decent clone. Just be careful with the body tabs. Their plastic is a bit brittle.

VERY unlikly that it would get through, they require absolutly no logo's on the airsoft guns. so.. yeah that would be a waste of ~$150+ for it to be seized at the border instantly. Like I said I would LOVE to get a Marui / CA but the idea of spending $500+ I just can't stomach. For $300CAD + maybe what, M120 spring + bushings and matel body (just got looks :-)). Think that would be worth it then? From my understanding, Canada cannot import individually. Non-firing replicas are illegal. Real steel is illegal. This leaves a nice gray hole for airsoft. Sorry I missed your post, you posted when I was replying. Hit the nail on the head there. Which is exactly why a $100USD Marui pistol, is $350CAD.
