3psa
updates: 3PSA
have sent in news of one of their products that no one seemed to be
talking about, so I'm putting it up for them. Actually DolphiNCommand
(Herman/H) has been raving about the CO2 capulet adapter for a bit,
as he bought one and loves it to bits. We don't often hear much from
3PSA themselves
so it's a welcome change to hear from them. Anyway enough waffling from
me here's the latest from 3PSA:
"...The
power booster carbon is a new accessory made by KWC (and distribute
by CYBERGUN) witch use the 12 grams CO2 cartridges. For those who are
"old" in airsoft it can be compare to the special adaptator
for green gas cartridges (made by Marushin few years ago) not in product
anymore.
It was designed
to use KWC blow back gas guns when temperature is to low to use hfc134a.
It is made in metal alloy and is compose by a pressure relieve valve
( for security), a CO2 cartridge holder, a pu hose (flexible) and a
quick release valve.
The power is
adjustable by a screw (but if you tight it the warranty cannot be apply
anymore). It can deliver more than 100 % more power than when using
hfc134a.
It allow a consitent
power flow improving accuracy.CO2 gas is not inflamable and therefore
it is the safer gas.
It can be adaptable
on most of the blow back( and also on KWC and Marui
revolvers) airsoftgun. It is sell with one adaptator for KWC gas guns
but this one fit Marui M9 or Glock26 and Maruzen gas guns .For the other
guns you will have to use "gas tank adaptator", or with small
modification (exemple : tight the flexible direct in the magasin) you
can put it on Western Arms, KSC and Tanaka.
For exemple on
KWC gas guns with the factory power you can shoot at 300fps (and huge
430fps on desert eagle with long barrel) on a WA M92F with one cartridge
you can shoot more than 100 BB's. Power is adjutable from 260FPS
(78m/s) up to 350 FPS (105m/s) with this power you better use metal
slide and stronger recoil spring and maybe stronger hammer spring. Power
can be higher but it is on the customer own risks.
Price is 50 euro
plus shipping. Co2 cartridges cannot be ship by plane. For more informations
please feel free to send an email to cybergun.stgermain@ifrance.com..."

UNCompany
updates: UNCompany
have updated their stock list. Of note (at least to me) this time is
the new KJW INOX Beretta M9, which is full metal. For around 110USD
that's not too bad at all.
BBIPSC updates:
You may or may not know, but we are proud to be the home to the UK
BBIPSC (in our forums),
and they have emailed in the details for their latest "postal"
competition (and no it's not a game to see how insane/nuts you can go
^_^). You can find details of the competition in this
ZIP file. I have personally scanned the files and they are virus
free here, but I recommend that you double check yourself to be sure.
"Glevum
Practical Pistol E-Mail/Postal shoot - 2002: The Glevum E-Mail/Postal
shoot will start in August 2002. It will consist of one competition

There will be
no fee to enter this competition, but a competitor number is required
(available from jss4s@aol.com) before
a score can be entered. The competition will be based on IPSC (14th
edition) rules, with [a few] additions..."
SystemA parts
not up to scratch? Matthew Dean (aka Mobius Strip)
has sent in some updates concerning the apparent issues with the latest
SystemA pistons (the red ones). Here's the latest from our lovable WA
guru ^_^ :
"...As you
are aware the Systema Red piston (the new one) can be out of spec and
cause the gun to jam. On Sunday I experienced this very phenomena myself.
Several bloody times. It was so bad that I could not get 200 rounds
out without the gun locking up.
"Dry running"
the top gear over the piston showed that at the last big tooth on the
gear there was indeed a tolerance problem. I tried the same test with
OE Marui parts and the problem was not there.
With the help of Mr Vernier-Caliper, it became apparent that the problem
is that the metal tooth on the piston is 0.5mm too far forward!!
I checked the
specs against the Marui one and it was confirmed that this tooth was
badly positioned. I removed the said tooth (comes out on a plate, by
removing the Piston Head) and removed 0.5mm from the back and the lip
at the front as these two areas form the contact points, and removing
material allowed the tooth to be repositioned further back. Yes there
was now 0.5mm movement front to back, but guess what.....so has the
Marui standard piston body (on the 3 that I had to hand to check!!)
Of course the Piston tooth with be held back by the gear as it rotates
anyway.
Having now removed the material I reassembled the gun - 1000 rounds
later all is well :-) If you get one of these pistons check it with
a top gear by running it along the top (teeth positioning -big tooth
on gear engages/pushes back the metal tooth on the piston). Be carefull
out there..."
