Their objective is to locate and destroy the guerillas base camp…

GAMEPLAY:

The operation begins US forces having just been airlifted into Landing Zone Victor.

Once underway, the US forces have several objectives:

-Establish a defensive perimeter.

-Locate a position somewhere along the perimeter of the LZ (not more than 10 meters into the tree line) and set up their base of operations. This will be their camp area as well. A screened in canopy must be erected first and foremost. This canopy will be a "goggles off" zone.

-Organize patrols to search for VC troops as part of their “search and destroy” mission. Their final objective will be to locate and occupy the VC camps

Respawn will be at 15 minute intervals.

Respawn area for US: Center of LZ Victor

Respawn area for Viet Cong: Individual encampents (Info for VC forces only)

The helmet cover is permitted to be in woodland as Mitchell Pattern helmet covers are hard to come by.

Players wearing tiger stripe are permitted to wear boonie hats.

WEAPON REQUIREMENTS:

Hi-caps will only be allowed in “crew served” machine guns. Machine guns will be limited to true crew served machine gun replicas (i.e. M-60), except for M249s which may be used in the crew served machine gun role (US) or an AK-47 with a drum magazine AND bipod to represent an RPK.

Crew Served machine guns must be fired from a prone position, or “from the hip”. However, the player is not allowed to fire the weapon while on the move.

Machine gunners will be required to have an assistant near them at all times. One of these two players (machine gunner or assistant) must carry an ammo can with them at all times. There is no requirement to do anything with the ammo can other then to keep it with the machine gun crew in order to represent the burden of carrying ammo. It will be at the players discretion of they choose to actually carry anything IN the ammo can.
