  1. Once reinforcement parts are out switch to Propane and never look back.

On another note, I've contact RA Tech and they're shipping me a WA CNC aluminum HopUp Chamber. So sweet. ^_^

Thanks for the tip! I've contacted RA Tech in hopes of getting a hop up chamber for myself.

  2. I know it sounds like I'm slating the rifle, and to be honest I'm a bit annoyed by the way it's turned out, but I can definitely see the appeal of this rifle and the fun you could have with it.

I can only hope it spurs other companies to go down the GBB route, hopefully with a solid, reliable system. The more self-contained GBB rifles that are released the better. :)

    You've got a point, $108/mag is a major ouchie!!! :(

  3. Again, I agree with Xerxes, and I don't think I could have put it any finer :D

However, it seems that people will be buying these mags, so more power to them. I can definately see GBB rifles sitting proud alongside AEGs, but not from WA and its pricing policy I can't....if WA wants to play on the novelty card, then fair enough....but like everything...the Novelty soon wears off....and when that happens you pi$$ of your loyal customers when you have to bring the price down to shift units....(see Jaguar X-Type).....I wonder if that was the reason Systema rifles are still so expensive (nah...probably just greed :D)

I don't think anyone should be surprised at the rumored price tag of the mags. A WA single stack .45 mag, which holds 21 BBs, easily sells for $45-50 in the States. With the size of the gas chamber and the amount of BBs the M4 mag holds, it's just simple scaling.

  4. i thought i would post some pictures of my latest project.

    it's a ca 105 converted into a AKM

its still a bit off from finishing but i'm nearly there.

It has a real steel stock and lower foregrip and just needs a upper foregrip to complete that part.

I will probably spray paint the front parts to colour match and the pistol grip needs a little something. I'm not sure of the colour. the camera makes it look brighter than it is.

Looks like a nice project gun. I'd either dye the pistol grip or get a new one. Keep us updated and good luck!

  5. Relax fellas, I was only joking about the reps! :P Now, onto the questions.... this AEG was a demo piece I had the fortunate opportunity to purchase from a local retailer. It even came in a TM AK-47S box, so it was a hint of things to come. Interesting enough, the gas block, tube, front sight, and front sight base are all TM. The rifle is solid as a rock. After pulling the bolt back, it slides forward with a nice *KLACK!* Plus with the laminated finish as beautiful as it is out of the box, Inokatsu has done a bang up job. I'm planning on replacing the front end and outer barrel with some old Guarder steel parts. How about some more pics?

  6. Yeah those look sweet man.  So it's just a stock marui with guarder kit...nothing else? how well does it shoot with just a guarder kit on?  Do you have the tan or is that OD?

Other than the Guarder frame upgrade over the TM base, its a stock pistol. My friend who has the exact same setup has said that the bb's have been veering off to the right a bit while firing. I haven't had the chance to test fire it yet but I'll report on it once I do. BTW, AEX offers an OD version as well... although I do prefer tan! :)

  7. Very nice 226s everyone! I especially like Titeist's replica of Jack Bauer's pistol, you've gotta show me the next time you're at Ord. Here's my little contribution, a very rare and customized tan teflon-coated piece (at least for now it is.) I received it as a gift just a few days ago....

  8. Careful - AK fever knows no end once it starts - theres no known cure all you can do is treat the symptoms with more AKs hehe

AEX definately seems the place to go if you want one stateside :) same price as the HK dealers, and (I think) with free shipping?

I live 15 minutes away from an AEX store, so no shipping for me! BTW Snorkel, great job on the VFC AK review, it was a big factor in me picking one up myself. Now after seeing Gunrunner's AKs, me wants a AKM bad! :D
