  1. Finally got my JDT BCG installed, before putting it in I cleaned it and sprayed the insides with some silicone spray, a lot of gunk was there, and sprayed some more to get the nozzle moving nicely, installed it and it works without any problem. I do plan on lightening it some time later, but for now it cycles ok on green gas, I dont use auto much anyway...

The odd thing I found is it doesnt make as much noise, "Bang" as my original standard BCG... anyone else experiencing this?

  2. I tried my mates GHK mag, it was a tight fit and it shoots ok, he had to sand down the inside of his G&P M4 to get it to go in and out smoothly... but he and I agree that Bomber mags are better, I've never had any problem with my Bomber mags...

  3. Funny thing, lots of people here have bought lots of upgraded stuff to get their gun working, I just fiddled around with it, the only part I changed was the bolt stop and ambi selector, just because i like having an ambi selector.

The dribbling problem I solved by cleaning up the hop up chamber, shave some fleshing of the plastic and made a DIY hop up nub,to fix the magazine leaking I used teflon tape and some sealant, super glued a small metal bit on the BCG, the other parts, except the breaking of the buffer tube, all still works fine and I use my gun quite a lot, weekends and plinking on some afternoon...

just saying that IMO you dont need to change/upgrade every part to get it working, just some minor work needed...

  4. @ Luis.. everything was stock... I think it was because I was using a CTR stock, because you have to use quite some force when you unlock the mechanism of the CTR stock that the buffer tube broke at that point...

  5. Another thing, here's a DIY trick for those who have trouble with their hop up and also cures the bb dribbling problem ... I'm still using the stock plastic hop up chamber and hop up rubber, but what I added was a bit of rubber o-ring that I've cut and fitted to the hop up lever, I fitted it between the two prongs on the hop up lever, you just have to experiment with the sizing... and now my hop up is nice and it doesn't dribble anymore...

sorry bout the crappy picture, but hope you guys get the idea...

other than that my M4 is still shooting nicely...

  7. I thought that butplug rubber thinggy was there just to prevent the charging handle smashing into the receiver, sort of a bumper... why would it have anything to do with how the nozzle works?

  8. not likely.

which nozzle are you using? which magazine and gas are you using?

I'm still using the stock bcg and nozzle, and I'm using bomber mags with green gas...

can't wait for your review Luis, I'm curious about the JDT bcg

    -edit spelling

  9. +1 what sacairsoftsn00py said, I'm still using the stock hopup chamber & rubber, and I don't have the bb dribbling out anymore...with .2 bb mine can easily go over 70 m,

but the funny thing is that shooting on semi after that nice straight shot, the next one would drop after 40/50 meters, but the next one would fly up to 70 meters again, and then the next would drop again... problem with the gas cooling down?

  10. Here's my new-ish car... 2006 Ford Focus 2.0 S

and just to add to the tinted debate... the laws in my country allows to have cars tinted up to 80% and yes all the cars in my house are tinted all round, front, sides, rear... mines got a 70% dark tint on the sides and 20% reflective tint on the front and rear

and just to show u guys, me gran's Alphard, 20% front, 60% driver and passenger front, the rest 80%, he's old Merc used to have 80% dark tint + 10% reflective on top of it, so that the windows got a mirror finish, people cant see inside.

Would you like to drive in an all clear car in the hot tropics? It's just a matter of habits, and yes I still wear sun glass eventho my car is already tinted because of the dazzling glare we get here in the tropics...

What's funny is in the UK, the law says you cant tint your windows because the law thinks that you would be planning to do some criminal activity, i.e stalk a bank for robbery, over here people tint their car for security reasons, i.e women driver tint their cars so that they wouldn't be crime object or so that criminals would have a harder time when they try to break into your cars... It's common to see women drivers over here to have 80% tint on the sides and 20% reflective tint on the front....
