No, every member of an ODA is trained in at least one foreign language they might encounter in their area of operation.
-
Yeah, it's odd that an ODA would need help from a civy translator, they should have at least one or two guys trained to speak with the Georgian troops.
-
Hey, I've got an idea! How about you either post pictures, relivant information, or just don't post!
-
hehehehehe I like... tan rav-light, paraclete hpc with and without cb, blackhawk modular h-harness over paraclete hpc, blackhawk crch... they use a lot of blackhawk stuff, there's lots of paraclete stuff in the system too.
h-harness and hpc is really comfy though, I just tried it out the other week actualy

Wow awesome insight man, much appreciated!

So how does LBT benifit from making this rig if it's already been issued to every SEAL by another company?
-
Erm, yeah.
If you're USING the sight indoors then you dial the brightness back. If you DON'T do this then it'll be so bright that it'll dazzle you and stop you actually seeing anything through it.
What I'm saying is that if you're sitting in front of the TV playing with the sight and you have the brightness cranked right up then you'll get the ghosting.
If you're using the sight correctly, and have the brightness adjusted to match the ambient light, then you won't have a problem.
Have you actually used one of these fake EoTechs?
Don't mean to be stroppy. It's just that, unless you've actually used one you probably won't understand what I mean about the reticel.
It's possible to wind up the brightness enough that it can easily "dazzle" you so you can't actually see through the sight in low light. If you reduce the reticle brightness it works fine but, if you leave it bright, THAT is when it produces the ghost images.
No, I've only used real ones. Guess I'll have to take your word on this one.
-
Pfft.
I suspect most of those reports come from chairsofters.
The design of the sight mean you will always get reflections but, when in use, if you're using the sight in poor lighting you MUST turn the brightness down or you'll be "dazzled" by the reticle anyway, which gets rid of the ghosting.
In bright light, with the brightness turned up, then you can't see the ghosting because it's drowned out by the ambient light.
Sure, if you're sitting in your living room looking through the sight with the brightness turned all the way up then the ghosting IS apparent but it's not an issue when the scope is in proper use.
You do understand that the eotech was developed with the thought that it would be used inside places like people's livinig rooms, right? If the sight needs ambient light to work properly, it isn't doing it's job. There's a reason you never see the trijicon rx01 in use anymore.

Somebody needs to grab those sunglasses Kanye had in the Stronger video

Yeah... that would explain the thread about them.

Speical *fruitcage* Forces picture thread, not look at my half naked *albatross* thread. If you people want to exchange toples photos of eachother, keep it on myspace.

GAAH you snipped the gear porn thread!!! Put it back! Put it back!

That AIMS is so cool man!!

Ok, let me get this straight. I used facts to back up my argument and somehow that makes it less valid?
Wow...
On a side note, the DBT does indeed have PALS on the bottom pocket, though if you do need that much load carrying ability it's probably a smarter idea to just grab a larger camelbak or some comparable assault pack. To each his own I guess.
And to add something to this thread, http://media.militaryphotos.net/other/MMSR.wmv

Ok, you want to try that?
Seeing as it's my opinion, why do you even have to comment?
-
Yay DBT MAP. So much cheaper and better than the Eagle map.
You're joking right? The eagle product is much heavier and more durable. There's a huge difference between the two... Have you ever handled both at the same time?

I think he was trying to describe some chronological sequence

Blackhawk DOAV? I mean I guess that's cool
