Thats because its a VFC gearbox as mine is the same
think they did use some VFC gearboxes but most bought now are cyma ones. Wonder how good the LCT gearboxes are, might pick one up sometime as there not a bad price and hopefully they will have some decent internals!thought it looked familiar
i own one myself (2 at one point)although i seem to remember both of my VFC boxes having clear bushes

odd. plastic bushes, never seen that in an LCT before. pre-production review sample maybe?
they always used to use new style cyma boxes, im sure of it.
still, thats irrelevant now as they seem to be using the box posted by darkMM

It's not that hard to put a 9.6 in if you remove the fuse. As for the internals... if all LCT gearboxs are like mine, then it makes the gun not worth buying. I would have killed for one with a VFC GB, Even CYMA innards would have been better than LCTs own offerings. I'm still waiting on parts from a friend to get my gun working. Not working again, just working at all. The conversion kit would seem the smart move.
LCT use cyma gearboxes, at least im pretty sure they still do. always used to.

Subsequent variants were blued, THEN painted over with paint.
i believe they were actually parkerized. or at least something similar, not blued.

Literally the first time I've seen an AK with railed handguards that I like
I bet that front end is nice and light, unlike the small car I have hanging off the front of mine! Might have to look at getting an extra outer barrel and setting something like that up for when I need a lighter gun.
lol, that style of handguard was just probably the first railed HG available for AKs. very old

i know you were going to go for a CTR, but i just had a thought, the UBR would probably suit that rifle perfectly. ordinary collapsible stocks look anorexic and out of place on AKs and since the UBR has the chunkier buffer tube cover it might look more appropriate.
once again, very tastefully done.

my idea for the ideal shotgun would use TM's 30 round shells and use the tube magazine for a gas tank.
smooth action, easy reloads and an excuse to carry a bandolier of shells

Dunno about an AFG, but AMD with a ultimak would be nice. Would you replace the grip with a length of rail or just use a complete railed lower hand guard?

definitely just a rail bolted on the underside of the existing heatshield. it would keep it looking like every other tacticool AK.

i cant believe i'm saying this, but anyone else think an AMD65 with an AFG and ultimak would look pretty sweet?

So still not liking my much improved design? Where i am able to freely use any TM compatible STANAG magazine, without perminant modification to either gun or shell( well, one shell was sacrificed for the project)

DEMANDING full pics! i reckon that would look epic, especially with a 20 round mag. im reckoning that with the addition of a heat shield and AR15 stock mounted flush with the top of the reciever (possibly a UBR or an ACE skeleton) it would make a really cool near future sci fi thingy.

I'm about to buy a ak again (TM ak beta owner very long time ago) but i'm in a big problem first i love Ak47S or Akms but i'm not sure of quality from stock.
Anyway i wish to know what brand it's better externally and internally. LCT, VFC, G&G, RS or KA?
LCT are as good as the internals you put in them (i think they come stock with cyma internals if you buy a full AEG, which are quite good these days)
VFC are excellent inside and out, as are RS but RS has a far more limited model selection.

oddly thats actually quite nice, the fakelite mag looks out of place but thats easily remedied.
T1 for optics definitely, if you wanted something magnified as well you could always have a separate optic on a siderail mount.
with regards to the stock i'd stay away from M4 stocks, they'll just spoil it. the only one i can think of that could look cool is an ACE skeleton stock.

just get a bog standard plain silencer.
cheaper and easier to get hold of than a PBS, technically more correct too.
plus an all black AK74 with a sleek silencer looks cool IMO

I'm toying with the idea with putting a silencer on my AK-74M. I'm getting mixed answers on this whole PBS1 vs. PBS4 thing.
as neoptolemus said, neither is correct as such.
just a generic cylindrical silencer would be most accurate as neither the PBS1 or 5 belong on an AK74M.
but hell, this is airsoft, use whatever you like the look of.

Also, the PBS1 isn't just for the 7.62 round. It's also used on the Bizon, which is 9mm.

it aint russian, probably bulgarian/arsenal in which case why limit yourself to a russian silencer for a bulgarian/american gun?

otherwise, he was using a pbs-1 supressor which is for the normal ak round (7.62 x 39mm)
and if you use the 5.45 x 39mm round, you shall use the pbs-4 which is made specifically for the aksu
i think the choice of silencer is a poor justification of the mags as the AKS74U was never chambered in 7.62
