I meant performance wise DUURRRRRRRR
"This one is shorter thats the only difference i see."
since when has length been a measure of performance? last time i checked thats an aesthetic difference, if you'd have said that the shorter barrel results in a slightly lower FPS or poorer accuracy that'd be different. it looks quite shiny to me as well, is that a measure of performance too?
Did you just say chuffing? Someone tell me he did not just say chuffing. CHUFFING.what? gotta keep some variety in my adjectives

This one is shorter thats the only difference i see.
how did you not notice the chuffing great rail on top, the compensator and the hexagonal barrel? thats quite a difference IMO
-
i'm pretty sure they dont have rails on the bottom, but they do on the top, and that weird angular barrel and the odd looking comp.
it's a shame really, a 6" M500 would really appeal to me but the only model available is the hunter which has all the junk stated above on it still, whatever floats your boat.

theres a review in the readers reviews section.

hmm, might have to give these a miss then and get some ballistic aviators and make them seal better. i dont like to trace BBs unless i really have to or someone isnt taking their hits (so i don't worry about overkill )
thanks for the advice guys

only thing i was thinking is with a pair of these you wouldnt have the big frame cutting out all of the precious light. lower profile frames would surely improve that problem.
the thing that really bothers me about the sensai mesh is how difficult it is to use iron sights, i have real difficulty focusing though the mesh onto those 2 points. that said i'm not keen on my AKSU's sights in general and find them a bit awkward, got a new woodland gun now though, should be a bit batter at least.
-
woot! got my new VFC AKS74 (no sidemount FTW!) today, might be able to get some pics up tomorrow
just one problem, the stock doesnt seem... well... fixed. it doesnt seem to have been attached to the stock hinge in any way shape or form so the struts can freely wobble up and down. any idea what i can do to remedy it?
-
any of you bitter end owners, whats the visibility etc like compared to the mesh on sensai masks? i find sensai masks make everything a bit too dark for my liking and i have great difficulty focusing on iron sights.

PIC REQUEST: An AK74 with a normal AK47 scope mount (like the one TM makes) with different kind of red dots on it. Im too lazy to scroll this thread lawl.
are you talking about a weaver adapter? a 'normal' one would be a whole russian made scope or RDS.
SPB: nice, loving the maska, but whats going on with your AKSU's lower HG? looks odd.

This was my very first AEG, bought second hand quite a while back.
It was made by Marushin and has a metal body, luckily I have a few mags as I've no idea where I could get any more.
Dave
marushin AEG? typo?

Kalash AKS-74U w/ romanian foregrip. Turned out pretty good for my first time modding an AK handguard.
Cheers!

errm. its... different. not exactly bad, but doesnt look quite right. i think it would look better if the foregrip slanted backwards like the underfolding romys.

you need to get a longer barrel with an RPK bipod, smooth reciever cover, CA windage adjustable leaf sight, real steel RPK74 flash hider, fill in the dimples and add reciever reinforcements.
there are a few more details missing, but they're not as important IMO if you're not worried about 100% accuracy.
-
they do indeed, but if i were to pursue a pair of mesh aviators (which would be made of pure WIN) i'd probably make some sort of seal on the back of the lens, lets face it the lenses are plenty big enough.

Have you got a link to such a sale? (thats really cool!)
http://www.popularairsoft.com/news/kart-m1...-conversion-kit
this says they're on RSOV and i remember them being on there, looks like they've been removed though. email keith though and i reckon he'll be able to let you know if he'll be getting more in.
-
looks better without the stock and sights whosloosin, keep it that way
looking interesting auroris, odd, but i reckon it'll look pretty cool.
-
yes it's an AKM gasblock if i'm correct. It has a wrong mag and compensator. But shouldn't be long before i get the right one.
im pretty sure the RPK74 gas block is very similar to the AKM one, more so than the AK74 gas block.
as for the dimples, only very early 7.62 RPKs had them, so i wouldnt worry too much as few RS ones actually have them.
-
hmmm, reckon he could work his magic on a pair of aviators?
now THAT would be cool!
-
yes i think so. any FYI kart do do the externals only as a kit for plain jane M14s
-
btw punkypink, whats the scope like on the JG? any good? or junk?

Thats what i mean, kalash is below those brands. But still a good gun, altho my m8's broke in half from 1meter drop.
Thats why i want the full steel one and try it out cus i play pretty agressive with my stuff, i have fallen over my Ino AIMS w full gear sliding 3 meters with it under me and stille was good as new.
Im curious if Kalash will stand it, and also i have a urge to get some RS RPK74 45 round mags for it
ok, i was just saying i'd place kalash within the top 5 manufacturers of AKs.
no nasty brittle pot metal on the full steel one i reckon it should take a good bit of abuse.
-
Correction "it's one of the best AK's on the China market at the momentt"
Wich places sells them?
i dunno grim, the only things i can think of that i'd buy over a full steel kalash are VFC, RMW (+inok etc) and realsword. i'd take a kalash over a CA or the likes.
-
no idea about the front sight, but the stock is to keep the sling out of the way while the stock is open and you are shooting, so you can unfold the stock and there will be slack in the sling to carry it with.

Kalash AK74MN
FYI, its AK74M, the 'M' already has a sidemount so its not necessary to have the N
not a bad weather job though, a bit more work around the top cover/reciever etc and it'll look great. more 'used a fair bit' rather than completely shagged.

:/ You let us all down GRIM! We want the old progressive gear back
he never had any progressive gear. his old loadout was used by those who fought against both the purely defensive soviets and the yankee imperialists

very nice AKMSU jebus, you really ought to try to get the longer flash hider/expansion chamber designed for the 7.62 though. RS perhaps?
