  1. I just finished the spring mod, but it didn't work. I can definitely feel a difference even when engaging the bolt catch manually, though.

I guess I'll have to try and sand the bolt catch tomorrow as was suggested then.

  2. Anybody know where to get a high-flow valve or just a replacement valve?

Mine is completely fubared now (one o-ring was ripped during disassembly and the valve striker shroud is so gnarled that the striker will no longer move smoothly and fully into position).

If not, I guess I'll just buy a GHK mag to solve other problems aswell.

  3. ... The mag straight up shoots all the gas out from the top. I was moving the gun around with the mag in, and suddenly, inexplicably, the gun just went off full auto and emptied all the gas. Whenever I try to fill it with gas, all of it just shoots out, whether the valve lock is depressed or not. Took it apart to replace the o-ring listed on Redwolf as a possible leaky ring, but to no avail. Now when I reassembled it the valve lock doesn't move up and down smoothly anymore, it gets stuck.

I got mine yesterday and have the same leak/problem.

When the mag is inserted, the gun fires full auto (weak/short stroked).

I haven't stripped the mag down yet though, so I'll have to try that and check out the O-rings.

  4. You swine. thats a hours wage :P

I wish i could be so lucky

    Heh heh heh...

I think the main reason no one else jumped on that deal was because the seller (on another board TSNBN) had 2 posts!

So, I took a chance. It was through Paypal, too though.

Now, to save up for some metal body parts.

    :thumbs-up:

  5. They can still be found used some places. I have an extra set of shells for a Cassi M500 that I'm looking to sell on right now.

T0p Sp!N - That Marushin 9.5in Super Redhawk is brilliant. If you ever decide to pass it one drop me a PM. I'd love to have a chance to pick something like that up.

Sure, I'll keep you in mind.

    And my new acquisition:

    New and Old.

WE1911 and Tanaka SAA (old US/Export version I believe)

You wouldn't believe how much I got the Tanaka for...

    :thumbs-up:

  6. They won't fit, the gas cylinder is in the grip. The real steel has a pretty unique grip fitment, instead of a frame withe the spring in the middle it has a long stud down the centre and the grip slides over this and bolts upwards.

Yeah, I figured it'd take alot of modification.

I was planning on boring out some oversized wood grips to fit the gas reservoir and drill holes on the sides to fit the stock Marushin grip's brass washers and screws.

But I guess I'll just hold this small project off for now, though and save up for the rail instead.

    :thumbs-up:

  7. That is one sexy gun!

    Thanks!

I'm planning on getting a weaver rail for it eventually and slapping a reddot on it.

Also, I might try and fit some real steel grips on it one day (as they're not a direct fit).

    :thumbs-up:

  8. Hey, what's the brand of that revolver, Top Sp!n?

    marushin.

very nice looking piece too. if only a taiwanese company would clone them in 6mm and metal.

Yep, a Marushin 9.5in Super Redhawk.

Also, it comes with the scope mounts, but not the scope.

You can get a weaver rail for about $40 or 1" or 30mm rings for ~$25.

    :thumbs-up:

  9. What do you guys use to remove the little black clip that holds the bolt carrier to the bolt ?

I removed it with a pin but you have to put to much pressure on one side and I fear that doing this a couple of times over will break it for sure!!

Special kind of pliers ? homemade tool ?

the trick should be to apply equal pressure to both sides at the same time

If you want the right tool, you need one of these:

    Circlip Pliers

Edit: Also, amateurstuntman suggests that you can do this with two screwdrivers.
