  1. Not exactly-I've seen DMR's at my field capable of reaching out past 80 yards that looked like ######(Hodgepodge M14's). I don't care too much about looks, if it shoots like ######.

(I hope that didn't come off as rude, just my opinion)

  2. Wow I really liked that review! Very organized, and well spoken.

My only suggestion is anothre video with more downrange action! 34M is great with an AEP. What bb weight is the max the hopup can handle(what weight can it overhop)?

Have you skirmished it yet? Do people have any issues feeling the hit?

My only other question is what firing modes does it have? Maybe it was in the video and I missed it, but i presume since it is an AEP it can shoot full auto?

    Thanks,

  3. Alright, so I tried this, and I am still only getting about a mag and a half off of one load. Not that big of a deal, when It cycles through the first mag I have no problems. Just Upgraded the hopup rubber to a king arms one so i can ovrehop .3's, and I am now getting 50 yards of effective range. I am currently uploading a video of me shooting at 40 yards on youtube(i'll post on here).

    Edit: Here is the proof!

  4. So should I try to fill it for more than 6-8 seconds? When Plinking, I normally wait about a second between each shot. Occasionally I do a rapid fire but that erally doesn' make to much of a difference, maybe one shot less or so. And BOTH of my mags do this. It is also completely stock. I'll give it a go loading it with more gas.

  5. Sorry for the double post, but is anyone else noticing that this thing eats gas really quickly? I can only get about 30-31 shots off on a single 6-8 second fill of green gas(identical results in both mags). The initial reviewer said he got 50-60 shots. Am I not loading enough gas? Could it have to do with the fact that I am using .3's? The mags were only a bit cold when I reloaded them.

  6. My friend had an absolutely beautiful TM m14. Cost him a fortune, but it was worth it IMO. It was shooting ~450 FPS with a DBCustoms 6.01 tightbore with deadly accuracy. Magnum motor really helped along with a huge Elite 9.6v 4000mAh battery so the trigger was extremely crisp. Craziest thing about it was that it was the quietest gun I've ever heard/shot, bar none. Seriously, for a ridiculously upgraded M14 with a Magnum motor, you'd expect it to be loud. But it was really quiet. And he even threw on a foam-filled suppressor just to finalize it.

If I ever have the money for a DMR build I'd certainly go with a TM m14.

HOWEVER, I have not personally owned or even shot a G&G m14 so I can't really comment on that.

I use my guns for sniping, as i find being a DMR fun, but not really as challenging as being a sniper.

But good thing its quiet, so i think ill go with the TM still. THanks for all our help, and im still open for suggestions.

  7. But isn't the TM more accurate? and isn't the hopup not as good as the TM's?

Can you post a picture or tell me what the groupings are at 150', and post some pictures of what setup you have right now. I currently own a CA m14 scout, but its stock range is awful IMO. I am considering the m14 veteran as of your post, but just don't know enough about it. I will check out your post in the M14 brotherhood, and ask any more Q's there. Thank you ,

  8. Scar, as you'll be well aware this kind of thing has been covered many a time on here.

Essentially, TM M14's are immense, they have an effective range of 65m+ if you get them right. 450fps might not make it perform any better than say if it was at 375-400; some say there is a sweet spot, where by increasing the fps might actually make it more inaccurate. I would recommend the TM M14s, but the CYMA clones are an equally viable option especially considering their ease of upgrades and similar performance to the TM... and cheaper!

Some good info on the sock gun here:

    http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...howtopic=155786

I would go with a clone, but my local shop REFUSES to upgrade any china made gun :(.

And I like Tm's quality. Plus AEX's warranty on their guns is UNBEATABLE as well.

So this would be a viable sniper rifle, on par with tanaka's, VSR's, and maruzen's right?

If so, i would rather get this than a vsr because it will cost me less, and i won't have to move to cock it. I know it will be louder, but i will do a few mod of my own to quiet it, and sound isn't a big issue for me. So basically this would be able to get first shot hit on a torso sized target most of the time on a target at 50m? And after i get a reply i will post in the m14 brotherhood from now on.

Also, can anyone post pictures of their groupings?(20m+ preferably)

    Thank you,

  9. Hey,

I am considering buying a TM m14 as a semi auto sniping platform. I will be upgrading it to 450 (professionally done by AEX and limited to semi auto) and adding a TB barrel(6.01). What kind of range would you expect with this kind of set up? And would you reccomend it.

    Thank you,

    Scar

BTW if this is in the wrong section, please let me know and i will post elsewhere.

  10. Whoa, 250 feet stock?!!?

Just to put things in perspective, about how far could you expect the same accuracy out of a TM VSR-10 upgraded to 500 FPS with a DBcustom 6.01 tightbore barrel? Our sniper was considering getting a VSR-10 and doing what I described, and if this gun could outperform that in stock form, there's no point in that plan!

Uhh lets see stock it is shooting about 500-550 fps. not 2 be rude but NO DUH its gonna be shooting that far. However the vsr-10 is going to be WAY moe accurrate and With its hopup at 500fps should acheive a max range of about that. Go with the vizzor.

(is this what you mean senor bear?)

  11. Can the KA Hop-Up conversion be had in the via a US retailer? I searched google with no luck...

And is it really worth the $100 or so for the conversion? This gun really interests me though!

    Thanks,

    -Blink

its a hopup unit not a gun. <_< and also what part of san diego u from?

  12. KA hopup conversion nineball hopup bucking pdi 555mm 6.05 or better. Just 2 b brief. And paint on a rubberized stock should work, just will require a longer drynig period than a non- rubberized one. Kool :P ?
