  1. Eh the M14 is easy to get tuned, tightbore, nineball hop rubber and your practically away laughing, the only other things i would get would be the RA tech trigger unit shell, the operating rod to bolt carrier bar (can;t remember part name at the moment), and the RA tech trigger pin. Just make sure you keep her lubed up properly with silicone grease on the parts where metal move past metal and you should be fine.

  2. are you firing on semi/ full auto and what temperature are you in, the only times i have had similar with my SCAR was when a BB got lodged above the nozzle, although it does sound like the main O-ring drying out thru cooldown and seizing, what lube do you use on it?

  3. Manmarin3, how you modded tri-rail?

i didn't really, only the part that screws onto the receiver i dremmelled down to make it fit as the gap is a lot smaller than the bit on the WE, the rest is just held in by the collar up front, also used a bolt from my MOE rails as it was a bit beefier and easier to torque tighter than the KA screw.

@tinydata, yeah not a bad idea, also, would a RS op rod or any other parts fit? i find the WE one ugly as sin.

  4. i must've gotten lucky with mine then, was a bit disapointed with the NPAS, found to achieve lower fps i had to not follow the instructions for installing it from their videos and just straight swap it out for the stock WE nozzle. Following the instructions on a mates one we could barely get it below 350 fps on 0.20g bb's, and this is in about 10-15 *C weather.

Also, update on the USGI stock, almost there with dremmeling it out to make it fit, had to take a break as spent an hour trying to make the upper fit in and realised i hadn't dremmelled out the space where the tappet plate sits... derp :P

  5. Having just acquired a refurbished USGI walnut stock , from first measurements there's a fair bit of work to do, the channel where the operating rod moves in needs to be ground out, but basically all the way to the front of the handguard as the gas tube is fatter as well, also a few bits need dremelling where the receiver and trigger pack go in to make it fit. I'm taking my time with it so i don't destroy this beautiful stock. Most of the differences are within about 0.5cm, just a bit fiddly to work around.

  6. my current multicam kit:

    HSGI wasatch

HSGI sure-grip padded belt with snipers waist belt modded onto it,

My Magpul-erized WE SCAR-L, i know the front sight is the wrong way around bit it looks and functions better that way for me, and the BAD lever is just a PTS one that i took to with a blowtorch and a hammer

  8. A bit pricey but the HSGI taco pouches seem to work a dream for any magazines i have thrown at them so far, M14, AK, M4. i bought mine direct from hsgi.us. only issue i have had with m14 mags in them is the height of the m14 mags, could be solved with a spacer, i use a duct-tape magpul dealio on the bottom of the mag so it doesn't bother me too much.
