Looks like cielini village in Brecon to me. I was there last week, i laughed when my blokes were picking up BBs and wondering why they were laying around everywhere.
I was thinking how much id love to airsoft there.

Hi, the team i regularly skirmish with use a GAYcu/TetrisPAT loadout. So i figure i should buy one, for uniform purposes. Anyone know where i can buy an issue ACS? Just to be clear i hate the cam but love the way its built, so i can live with it.

Ground Zero urban at Sopley. It IS good! small games of about 40 people, fast and intense gaming with f**ckloads of pyro, i love it. It is a nice contrast to GZ woodland, which is all bushy tracks with an average of over 200 players. I heartily recommend it.

I am made of fail. My supplier is messing me around, as predicted. I know it dont mean much to you guys but i said i would do something and it annoys the hell out of me that i cant follow through on it yet. I will get to the bottom of this tomorrow, i hope its just a case of late delivery. Pics will be up as soon as i get the kit.

thats how ive always used my sling. Sorry about the delay with the new gear pics folks, we went to pick it up from the depot yesterday but it was stacked floor to ceiling, far too much to carry, and parcel force refused to re deliver it at 4pm on a friday. Im now waiting on a phone call from my mate to tell me its arrived at his house.

Dpm UBACS (though they can already be bought) ACU cut DPM shirt, ACU cut DPM trousers, new type smock with upper arm pockets, new goretex jacket with new liner, fleece handwarmer pockets and a few other bits. They wont be on general issue for at least a year, i have discovered, but we have a direct line to the manufacturer of all the trials kit and they are giving it to my btn for free.
Though my supplier is a bit dodgy so i will be lucky to get half of what i ordered (ill take my camera to work to at least get pics of one example of all of it)

Twisties ftw! and if your not going to use your sling properly don't use it what so ever. and would it kill you to put some polish on them boots look after your boots and your boots will look after you.

Dont ever wear twisters in the field, just use your drawstrings (thats what they're there for) loads of people use their sling like that (including me) cos its nice and out the way for combat but you still have the sling in case of a casevac or something. The sling is on correctly, then tied round the magwell and tightened off. how can you tell the front sling loop isnt on the weapon, its on the other side!
You could polish your boots though.
Just an update, the new uniforms are in the post office waiting to be collected and i should have them off my supplier tomorrow, ready for pics. If he delays it or messes me around in any way i'll punch him in the throat and post pics of that here instead.

unfortunately i have no pics of that (i just checked) all the UGL gunners in my platoon used MOLLE pouches for their 40mm bombs.
I'll ask some of the other lads on facebook for some pictures.

I have mine pretty much as tight as it will go, and my chest is 39 inches. But it is extremely tight on me, So i guess it would be a little loose on a 35 inch chest, but not too much.
Oh yeah, i missed it out in my first post, but i have an extrema ratio training blade in a DPM wyvern sheath mounted on my belt.

On my ACU loadout the blouse often sticks out from under my plate carrier...it really annoys me, it seems like most of the pictures in this thread dont have that. Is there a way to secure the blouse on the shirt making it not stick out? Im used to tucking my shirts in for other loadouts and AFIK they don't do that in the US military.
If you look up a few posts, the pics of soldiers in Iraq shows them with their blouses sticking out. If you dont like it i suggest tucking it in.

So im bored at home with nothing to do, so i thought i'd dress up and take a couple of terrible pics of myself (the wife's at work so i had to do it on my own). This is my completed cqb loadout, eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Galaxy mp5k PDW to top it off (my MP5A4, though lovely, could still do with being stubbier)

Thats alright buddy, need any more help dont hesitate to ask. You need to get yourself down to SPECOPS in Portland for the best arid terrain style action i know of in the UK.

Thanks! Its got even simpler since that picture, i dropped a small utility fromt the plate carrier, the gas grenade from the dropleg and put one of the pistol mag pouches down there instead. Mags and frags, baby!

yeah you could use the 40mm vest, we tend to use whatever is available. Ugl gunners normally sew their bandolier to the front of their osprey (in theatre) or just wear it as a bandolier.
a few guys in my company wear an lbv-88 instead of a webbing yoke so im sure a 40mm vest would be fine

some people like to use more ammo pouches instead of utilities for small items (i use half an issued ammo pouch for a pair of goretex socks for example), but as your airsofting and wont be in the field for weeks you dont really need any more pouches. All you need is ammo and water, baby!

thought you guys would like to know that certain units in Afghanistan are being issued this plate carrier in desert dpm. I dont know why the MOD chose to go with blackhawk but i know that in the next 2 years or so all infantry should be equipped with this as the osprey has been deemed too heavy for long patrols and assaults.
I personally cant wait, when the new clothes, helmet and this carrier are all on general issue, we might actually start looking like modern army finally!
