sir naggedalot
Just thought I'd share this program as its got so many sci fi / fantasy designs on the web that are just the ticket for sci fi/ fantasy costume design. I substituted the recommended card/paper medium for thin camping mats but there's loads of other mediums you could use. Here is a link to the program: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/productinfo/index.html Here's a link to the source of the templates I used:http://www.405th.com/downloads/ Here is a picture of the unfinished outfit I made for my nipper:0)
titchikov
Thought when I read the title that pep wouldn't really stand up to bb impacts, but I suppose camping mats are a bit more pliable?
sir naggedalot
Its common practice to coat the card after its been assembled in a lacquer to harden it and then a fibreglass/resin layer is also often applied. Another method to strengthen is coating the whole design with a glue gun! The camping mats I used will stand up to Airsofting and even if your costume were to be damaged its easily fixed with a glue gun:0)
