Bowman rigged to an Icom F4S

I have an Icom F4S UHF handheld radio programmed to operate on the standard American FRS frequencies, when I purchased the handheld it also came with a Pryme speaker mic. I then purchased a bowman headset off ebay, wanting to spend as little money as possible I decided to make the Pryme handset into my PTT button.

Drilling a hole in the top of the Pryme unit then removing the internal speaker and mic. Then brought in the leads from the Bowman unit and matched them up with the ptt switch/board inside the Pryme handset.

The unit works excellently although when speaking into the bowman mic my transmission is a little on the quite side. I fear this may be due to the mic inside the bowman unit being damaged, in the future I may replace it with the mic that I have kept from the Pryme handset as they are approximately the same size.
