  1. Dude...it's fun and games until you shoot through some poor sods mesh eyewear or smash his/hers teeth. With that energy lip wont protect too well anymore against .4g (compared to lighter). And as said it's not cool to make 'em bleed either.

Time for you to stop and think what your doing..

  2. :S This topic is a train wreck, I keep coming to see the flying limbs and burning bodies.

A bit of repeating but I find it disturbing that something this trivial can cause such a mess...Always chrono with the bb player is really playing with, hop set and deal in joules, seriously. And especially with guns using expanding gas prepare for joule creep with heavy bb. Site owners who don't think of this aren't up to the task. Locally never been a problem..And personally been using a p* for over a year now.

  3. Actually they are among the more reliable retailers. Have done business with them for a decade. They used to be bigger but have since diminished & lost popularity but still keeping some unique items such as escort powered guns & PFC guns & accessories. The website design is among those unique things too just like dentrinity..

  4. You can use magnesium powder in short barreled open barrel guns to create muzzle flashes. Add some powdered coal as the flash is white. I think it is not possible with the Marushin rifles as the gas is is not directly vented out of the barrel.

Wa Shan makes full metal pistols with open barrels which are cheap and most durable choice. Stay away from Tanaka guns! They are absolute ###### with plastic everything...

http://www.gunsnguys.com/home_ns.htm for example here is a good selection of pfc guns. Good retailer. Prices are in HKD.

Heres a video shot with added magnesium.

MGC M11 is begging for a video with added magnesium...
  5. Well that is a lot of shots in a small area. The test they have at the site is pretty much in the line of both tests here, few more shots and it will penetrate. But seriously, 10+ shots point blank in someone face? Or the 50 rounds from a distance? The one in the receiving end wouldn't just sit there and take it immobile. The mesh can take a spray easily but not focused.

After some more concerning hits Iv always replaced my mesh because, as concluded, the bent mesh has lost its strength. That is the price you have to pay from using it. Dent it -> replace it.

Been using Herosharks custom mesh pieces on my ESS advancers since 2008 and got shards through once. No dents yet. Before that twice at least with the good ol Sanseis. Thats in a time-line of give or take 12 years. Rare but it happens. The results minor irritation. Makes you want to wash your eyes, but never heard of anything serious happen around here and mesh is very common to come by, especially in the shape of these Sanseis.

For someone, especially who uses glasses, with mesh I just can't see it possible to have any serious injury unless one stands being shot for half a mag in an area of one square inch from a short distance. CQC though is always a bit different situation. But to have a 50+rps gun and stick it to someones face behind a corner..Most have more sense than that. Accidents do happen though. Would be very concerned about the organizers to allow such guns anyway.

    Ot:

It would be interesting to see results from shooting say Oakley M-frames or similar shooting glasses with same test principle.

  6. did yours have any problems with the mag or firing?

The T77 has the same problems as all macs and that is need for quality BB's. I use sIIs and KSC .2g. Quality alone isn't enough, they need to be normal sized. Ie. Exels don't work. No problems with feeding, the buffer seems to help too since I haven't had any misfeeds since putting buffers of this kind in all of my macs. Magazines are actually better than KSC because they are easier to refill. Downside is that they look worse and take less bbs.

The hop-up doesn't work very well at all, but I'll swap KSC in it later.

  7. Sweet Korppi! I remember your pic from back in the day. Please take some updated pics, I wish CAW would re-release those grips. They would sell heaps!

Thanks mate :) Got a two pics but the wear isn't really too visible with this excuse of cam I have :P1 2

  8. You can have quite a boost with longer tight bore as gas keeps expanding unlike air. Good example would be KSC M11/TMP having a tight bore running inside suppressor giving a boost from say 1J to 1.6J with gg from normal. Also heavier BBs have an advantage versus lighter in an tight bore expanding gas gun IOW they usually clock a bit more.

  9. M1911A1.jpg

WA SCW3 Colt M1911A1 with Prime kit and CAW woods. Solid performer with .28g. Old pic, should take a new one due natural wear.

Edit: I had this dejavu feeling...Maybe I should invest in a walking stick :D Anyway enjoy the repost.

  10. ..This is a..

Oh, well that is all that a DMR needs and its simple+reversable probably. But VTB style mod would be a real killer for a skirmisher. With blowback shooting gets so fun that the volume of fire gets silly sometimes .) Still wondering about the systema mags..
