  1. Got to love some minigun fun. I would be interested to see how much those little ones will be, always remind me of the combat shotgun from the Rutger Hauer movie Split Second, and I have always wanted to pick one up, even thought about the CA one a few years back but honestly not a fan of CA. I can’t say that I have ever owned anything decent from Well either, but in fairness I have only seen a few of their guns so I don’t know enough about them to judge them yet.

  2. Not long now, not only in vfc catalog but shown on the umarex stand at iwa 2024.

Lots of Glock stuff as to be expected, but the ppk/s comes with an optional silencer too!! I also peed a little when I saw the Sledge Hammer model 29, I used to love that show 🤩

Now, the only other question I have is how to get the money so I can just throw it at them?

  3. I really feel a little embarrassed to be asking this, but I haven’t touched an aeg for over 15 years and was never that good at taking them apart in the first place.
Dug out an old Cyma mp5 and thought I should make sure it is working properly and as soon as I connected the battery (still on safe) I got a burst of about 5 shots. When I put the selector onto single fire and pull the trigger it will fire a burst of about 5 shots. It does this every time the trigger is pulled. When I put the selector on continuous fire and pull the trigger it will fire a burst of about 5 shots. It will fire continuously when the trigger is held, but when the trigger is released it will continue to fire approximately 5 more shots. Each time the trigger is pulled it will fire a burst instead of a single shot.

I don’t really want to take the gearbox apart if I can help it, and I don’t really recall what part I should be looking at trying to fix. I am open to any suggestions anyone may have that I can try, preferably starting with something easy. I don’t even remember how to take the thing apart, I definitely won’t be swapping back from gas any time soon, but would like to get it running properly again if I can. I am pretty sure that this one was never taken apart before and I left it all standard as just a backup gun, and it has seen some use as it was always one I would let other people use, but as I say it has sat in a box for about the last 15 years, maybe more.  Nothing feels sticky or not working in any way that it shouldn’t, no extra resistance or stickiness on the trigger or selector at all.

  4. I really hate to sound like a negative Nelly, but it’s a Maruzen. I assume it will probably be the same as all the last ones they released ages ago and will be all plastic abs and somewhat meh. I shall of course reserve judgment and probably get one anyway, but I really wish vfc had made the ppk instead of the /s. Still, maybe we will get some nice metal kits again, just be prepared to spend a lot more money on it 😟

  5. Yes, exactly that as I don’t have the cad skills to model it myself. The file I looked at is available in .3ds .max .dxf .dwg .fbx .blend .c4e .dae .duf .aep .glb .gltf .bip .lwo .mxs .mb .psd .3dm .skp .xsi .stl .usd .usdz and .obj

I know my laptop won’t run blender, and I haven’t really had much chance to try many other programs yet, and from what I have watched on the YouTube I think if I am not mistaken the format I would want is .stl?

my printer in the ender as I mentioned in my post, and I kind of figure if I am going to start by printing a useless boat or castle then I may as well start by printing a gun part, at least I will use that and I figure it’s still just the same work to do, it’s just a case of getting the right file type.

any help and advice is very much appreciated

  6. I still require help with this if there is anyone with any 3d printing experience? I am not after anything complicated, just some clarification as to the file type that I need in order for my model to work as I will need to purchase it and I don’t want to get the wrong format.

    🙏

    Thank you

  7. Any update on how your chronograph testing went? I saw a similar video on the YouTube where a guy fitted a longer inner barrel and hop and with no other modifications it was consistently pushing out those little round plastic demon balls at around the 400fps mark 😳. It made me want to do it with one 😈

  8. I have been planning my biggest home build custom gun handgun for a while now, and have decided to build it completely from scratch using 3d printed parts for the most part, electroplated to finish to give a nice shiny silver metal look.  I have bought a new 3d printer, an Ender 3 neo, filament printer.  I have decided on this approach partly for legal reasons, plastic parts that are essentially a toy rather than hand finished metal parts which the old bill would probably throw a skitty over.

Problem is, I have never printed a single thing (so far my printer is still boxed) in my life, and I don’t have the foggiest when it comes to file types and stuff, or programs to use or anything.

The gun is similar in base to a 1911, so pretty straight forward really. I think I can probably obtain the blueprints for the real gun if needed, but I can buy a 3d model online, but I don’t know if it’s any good for this purpose, or what format I need, or file type or anything.  I figure that I need to make some changes anyway in order for it to work the way that I want it to, so can probably steal quite a few of the smaller parts from a 1911, or a Desert Eagle.

If anyone has experience with 3d modelling that can help me out please drop me a dm and I can mail you over the files that I have so far to see if they are any good and to get some advice.

    Cheers guys 👍

  9. Beautiful work gunnman. I love the pattern on the top of the slide, really nice. How come you have managed to post so many pictures, I have almost run out of total size uploads and I wanted to post some nice pictures of my 1911 build soon! 😂

  10. Ok, I’m still toying about with my project 1911, I am just not quite 100% sure about my barrel, I might port it, then again I might not, I’m not sure yet. I was wondering though if anyone has one of the two part barrels that unscrew by the chamber, that they were able to measure the size of the thread that it screws on, was wondering if it’s 14mm? The sort of thing I mean is something like this:

    Many thanks 😊

  11. I bought the traded version ☺️

You are not wrong about the price of the mafioso kit, they have always been a bit pricey.  I remember paying £275 for a real one before the 1997 handgun ban, not that it would be any good for shooting people in a game, but even so, even the best airsoft replica shouldn’t cost more than a real one, same price maybe taking into account materials, but they are not needing to have the same tolerances, nor would they legally be able to, so I couldn’t justify paying that price. Then again, in some countries like maybe Japan, good replicas are more expensive and real guns, even deactivated ones, are not easy to come by, so perhaps easier to justify the price?

  12. Yeah, I think he was referring to the grips as he was pointing to those at the time. If anyone is interested, here is a rather nice review of the real P226 Mk25 for a comparison.

There is probably some useful information regarding the differences between the p226 and the p226 Mk25, especially when it comes to holsters as that should carry across into the airsoft world as well.

  13. I don’t think currently that there are many aftermarket parts. When I got my Mk I, so a little while ago, I also got a slide release/takedown lever, safety catch, hammer, spur, and grips. I know for certain that they were not WE, they were definitely not genuine Browning parts either. It is possible that they may have been Tanaka or Marushin, I think most likely the latter, but it was as I said a long time ago so I don’t remember.

  14. Ok, it took me a while but I finally decided to get a Mk III, and here is what I think of it.

All in all, it feels much better than the earlier model with the tangent sight, much snappier to fire and has a much crisper recoil. Much nicer.

Most of the stuff that I don’t like about this pistol are the fault of the design that WE copied from Tanaka, as with the earlier model, the absence of adjustable hop is just so beguiling. I know that removing the barrel from the slide is an absolute pain, so the grub screw in the top was never the best hop adjustment to begin with, and unless I have missed something, there is no adjustable hop present. I shall not bother messing around with it too much, probably just test different weight bb’s to find the ones that work best, a pain as I like to use 0.3g. Seeing as it is the browning/colt design a hop wheel underneath would have been an easy addition to have made. Same gripe I had with the old model, but like I mentioned, much snappier to fire so feels nicer.

I like the ambidextrous extended safety catch on the Mk III so will definitely keep those. Don’t like the lanyard loop, but it is too much aggravation for me to remove that, as it means replacing the pin that goes through the bottom of the pistol, and again I cannot be bothered to do that for the amount that it bothers me. I hate the grips, so they were off straight away, and with a little modification real wood grips fit easily enough. Slight modification was needed to the inside front edge for it to fit into the magazine well, as well as a hole needed to be drilled in one side at the bottom for the opposite side of the lanyard pin, and the bottom corner removed on the other to accommodate the loop. The top also needed to be chamfered because of the longer safety catches on both sides, the result being that they sit really nice. I like that the Mk III does not have the slot cut in the rear for the stock like the earlier model.

For me, I finally have the Browning Hi-Power that I wanted except for the lack of adjustable hop. For others, they may want to mix and match, as was asked earlier in the thread. I no longer have my older model to actually try, but as far as I can see the parts should be interchangeable, as I don’t notice any real difference between the models. The magazine is certainly the same. So if you wanted to put a Mk III slide on the older frame it should pop right on there, equally with other aftermarket parts such as hammers and safety’s etc.

    Finally, here is mine:

  15. Although I’m not a fan of that Beretta, I would welcome one instead of just another M9, not that I don’t like the 92 platform, I love it, but variety is the spice of life, more Px4 or 90two variants (incidentally I am selling some Px4 bits, mags and holster, check it out, nudge nudge 😄). I love that vfc did the UMP9, not that I have one, but it makes a change from the .45. The day someone makes the combat shotgun from Split Second I think I might just get happy pants 😳 bfg’s for the win 😂

  16. For a gun that is still as relevant today as it was when it was first introduced, not to mention the ties it has of course to James Bond and many others (apart from Daniel Craig who does use a ppk/s), the ppk is very surprisingly unrepresented in airsoft. I personally love bfg’s but they too are not very well represented. You can however have your choice of 2500 different Glocks or Hi-cappas.

Just from the Bond point alone, with the 60th anniversary and the 25th Bond film, I would have released a PPK & P99 double pack marketed at that demographic. Too late for that now. Not to mention how the PPK is an excellent concealed carry gun, can be hidden many places as a last resort or depending on your game scenario to smuggle into an area undetected, yet we get a Colt 25, not that I am knocking that, I love all new choices, but it just seems like when people are crying out for something like the PPK, the manufacturers come along and say “that’s nice, we hear you,  here you go, have an olive green and brown M4, now be happy”. I just don’t get it. Where are the decent .44 Automag? Where are the Wildey’s? Where is the Judge Dredd Lawgiver? Any of the guns that you see in popular media that make you do a Keanu Reeves “Woahh” they avoid like a turd in a swimming pool. I just don’t get it 😔

  17. I have 2 x We mp5 Apache 45 round magazines for sale. They have the usual wear to the finish at the top, and each magazine has the original owners username scratched onto the left side (I have covered that with red in the photographs). Other than that the mags are good. I am after £50 for the pair.
