Anyone have pictures of the silver PGC P226 kit all fitted? I'm interested in how the finish compares to the chrome TM.
I have a PGC p226 in silver but the pics are not the best I will post some tommorow if I get time
As to the finish the PGC frame, it is a satin machined finish ,and you get what you pay for.
I did have a chrome one when they first came out only to strip some bits for a friends 2 tone.
the finish was nice but much to shiny for me.
the silver mags drop free with ease

Chris
Contact "the Sniper", he can give the good and bad points over the Guarder frame and any help if needed, Incl pics if required.
Billy
Chris , Billy is correct I can give info on the guarder frame, and I suppose I will have to put some more pics of my glock 34's up
As for the frame both the ones I have fitted have had problems (related to the quality of the frame). I found the plastic very brittle and changed mine back and will use the guarder one for molds to make a magwell
fitting was (personally) easy the hammer mech come out in one piece and the trigger bar is slotted in making it easer than the KSC glocks
the boomarms 34 slide and barrel on the other hand is a QUALITY piece of kit and I have had no problem with it but it does IMO need a buffer fitting to the recoil rod to stop it getting damaged when it hits the rails (pics to follow)
it needs a longer inner barrel , tm hicapa fits but I need to confirm the length
If you need any help PM me and I will see what I can do

Romulus since Billy5150 is being slow I will answer your question for him
The Hex Screws for the grips are hogue RS screws. All that was done was the frame was tapped out to the correct size (m4 fine if I remember correctly)

Chris, thats pretty damn nice I always had a soft spot for no railed sigs, they look very issue. Could use a bigger supressor though
Anyone know of a shop in the uk that sells cheap 226 mags and parts? Ive just managed to snap the feed lips on my mag (my own fault, not kj's).
Fire support have them in stock

Junior what inner barrel is that on your KSC g17?

I haven't read anything about the g34 slides for the marui, what else do you need to get them to work? longer outer barrel / recoil rod or something? thanks
I have a g34 slide on my marui glock 17 and I found easy to fit and of great quality
As for extra parts I fitted an extended inner barrel (PDI P226 6.01) link but the marui hi cap inner barrels will also fit just needs to be the 6 or 7 inch ones and then cut them down
small note (the hole in the end of the outer barrel will need to be enlarged for the extended barrels to fit)
modded nine ball recoil rod with custom spring as the slide hits the frame quite hard when it is fully back
shooters design hammer spring (found the guarder one to strong)
and just had to put this picture in as this is a picture thread

I have a 6.01mm Hi-capa 5.1 barrel for it but unfortunately the length stops the outer barrel rocking backwards when cycling. I will have to dremel a bit off the length and try again.
before you dremel off the inner barrel I have a question and some info for you
Is the inner barrel you have just the correct lengh for the outer?
I have a marui g17 with the same slide and I found that the end if the outer barrel is to small for the inner to fit through (and rock) so I opened it with a tapered reamer and then fitted the p226 extended 6.01mm inner barrel from PDI and it fits to the end of the outer just fine (with the slide forward) cycles great
hope this helps I just seems a pity to shorten a 01 barrel

Yes I have tried it and it does BUT
The rail does not centre over the slide
the trigger pin hole would need moving slightly up
I think the trigger pin would fit (it is the same diameter and a similar length)
It would not make the rail removable as it is on the KSC because the trigger pin on the marui glock is only 1 pin whereas the trigger pin on the KSC is a pin that fits in a piece of tube an it's the tube that holds the trigger mech and other parts in place
hope this helps

Thanks ViciousV10s it is always good to get a thumbs up from the master
I will try that hammer spring if I can find one, but I do find the set up very balanced and efficient (it gets very good gas usage for a custom gun, 2 mags of bbs per fill, )
I will post the shuey / marui 34 when the j point and mount arrives

If i'm going to write this out for MOE then it might as well be here for all to see
In no particular order
The glock 34 above is made from an old ksc frame (2pin and trades)
the internals of a new ksc glock 17
metal mag release (filed so it does not mark the mags)
g+g slide and outer barrel (hand picked in the uk due to g+g fit problems)
threaded silencer adaptor from barrel modded so inner barrel will fit and not lock the slide up)
km inner barrel from a ksc auto 9 (filled to fit)
silencer (cheap)
g+g sight mount for glock 17
real steel rear sight (bit obsolete now also needs new front sight)
nine ball g17 recoil rod (modded to fit a thicker shock rubber)
uprated recoil spring (from a spring web site)
hogue rubber grips
guarder hammer spring
airsoft surgon rocket valve (not the spring as it seems too strong)
hidakaya rocket valve spring
all mags have the km adjustable high flow valves in them (prefer the 50 round mags)
shooters design valve knocker

Mojo I like it
what make is the gun and where did you get the magbases from. (did they need modding to fit)
Is the mag catch a real steel one or did you mod the original
-
thanks for that RSP1 and Junior I think that has made my mind up and I will have to get one
RSP1 as for the small plastic plug in the backstrap it does come out it is only held in with sticky tape. All I did was drill a screw into it and pull
-
Thanks for the info RSP1 but I do already have my TM glock and am quite aware of the rear sight problem, and will machine a spacer / adapter to deal with it
question for you though
how much time did the magwell take to fit. what needed machining, frame, magwell, back strap clamp
-
Vicious
As if we need reminding
I love the rack of guns pic
two questions for you
How fast was the slide once you fitted the J point sight to it as I was thinking of adding one to my TM 34 glock
Which extending stock fits the ksc glock 17 (old school frame)
thanks
-
Just a quick question to mathub and RSP1 as my shuey 34 slide is on its way, what inner barrel have you both used and how long does it need to be if I need to get it made
-
can anyone here with a calibrator(sp?) tell me the caliber/size of the hopup bb in a ksc g17( and other ksc guns?)
Yes I can
2.01 mm or 0.0790"
lucky for you I had a ksc 18c in bits
-
Aitch I bet you are after a non railed one, Airsoft global have the creation kit in silver but it is the railed one
-
Tinkerbell have you tried firesupport search for p226
I'm sure that is not all the parts you need but if you call he might have a second hand / broken one that you could raid parts from for a fair price
If you need help putting it together PM me I've fixed plenty of P226's

I have always liked that style of slide and barrel, where did you get them from and can we have some more pictures
Thanks
