Awesome set of pics Benson. Im personally not keen on the loadout but just the fact that u all have the same gear and location makes it look professional like ur all part of the same unit. nice one. cheers.

Looking BADASS with the cam paint and EBR USNDOC

loving the colt commando's. So simple yet so awesome.

Ye i got it on in the end. Just needed some wearing in. Absolutly in love with this barrel. Awesome build, great to look at. Just fitted into my CA M15. Wats also neat is the fact u can unscrew it and make it a a CQB length barrel. Just awesome. If you're having any doubts on getting one then stop now. Just get it. Thanks for the review fareast. cheers.

My SFW attempt. Needs more work when i can find the doe nd parts. Like to thank Lerch for the inspiration and infomation. cheers.

What make of flash hider did you use on yours? My CA one only goes so far onto the barrel (shortened part) before it tightens up and wont budge. Do i just keep turn it on nd off till it loosens a bit and fits? Por query i know just donw want to ruin the threading cheers.

agreed with Capacious, the old school stuff always look better. Think i might set my rig up like yours. cheers.

With metal slides and frames comes more consumption. Heavier weight to cycle, metal gets cold and so effects cool down etc. The KSC shoots very hard out of the box and the gas efficiency is comfortably capable of getting 2 mags per fill. However with the KSC u do lack the resilience of the TM and overall 'to hell and back' reliability. I have a stock TM 226 as replacement and though more reliable it does lack the punch and the uber nice grip and magz. cheers.

He had the Officers model not the Detonics. I prefer the Officer's model than the Detonics. It looks weird with the rear sight moved forward.
True but i wasn't willing to buy a WA officer at their price and this is similar. cheers.

Nice review. Now to add some white/pearl grips for the Pacino 'Vincent Hannah' look.

Purchased a TM 226 just before the ban came in. Wasn't able to make a direct comparison since i shipped my dodgy 226 to the buyer the day before. I would say the TM is more solid, and feels stronger. Ive only shot a magazine or so but we all know the tm reliability. However the KSC wins in looks and feel. The KSC grip i much prefer and the magazine plate. cheers.
P.S: I have 2 KSC 226 mags here and have absolutly no use for them so PM me if interested.

Hehe cheers guys. Ye im not much one for accessories on my weapons. I might get a torch forgrip for night ops but thats it, oh and a box of star mags hehe. Nice paint job alark. cheers.

Courtesy of AA earlier this week. The sd is my bro's. Both of use prefered the SEF selector. Ive got a USPc on route from UN (if customs dont *fruitcage* me).

nice. is that an NCstar scope?

When i first recieved it I used green (after it was dropped in the mud...see review). After a clean and dry wipe i used no lube and it seemed to perform better. I then got onto the Predator gas since i ran out of green. I used it most of the day on Predator and honestly it was probably the best its performed. On the weekend i put green into it again. The slide stuck on occasion (lack of lube?) and the blow back failed meaning the hammer went bk nd forward a few times but not the slide. Id then recock etc and about 4 shots into the mag of green it would fire nicely again. When it did fire it fired hard!...Maybe too hard? The snapping of the plastic by the mag release was on the frame and so surely nothing to do with the gas. It might have be a fault with the gun or my safariland (which was always a bastad to get in and hold comfortably in place).
I will definitly keep you all updated. I'm hoping mine was just a fault and that others have slightly better success. Up until this new green gas i had nothing but positive praise for this pistol. I hope you and other owners have a gd experience with it. cheers.

thanks for the info. I certainly agree with the appearance factor. Ive had it a few months now and unlike the tm (which becomes very sratched and shiny) this has kept its touch. Ye my hammer has a flimsy sound to it when 'dry firing' but performed ok otherwise. Ill keep you updated with my team mates one and how his lasts on green. If you are worried otherwise then use Predator gas...its a nice inbetween of 134 nd green. cheers.
note im also selling mine so if mags/gun is wanted for spares/project pm me (prefer gun to go first b4 i sell mags).

BAD NEWS: Used it today. Put about 3 magazines through it on ICS Green Gas. Earlier in the week i tested it with green and it was playing up abit (not blowing the hammer back/slide sticking). Used it again today and had similar problems. However regardless of the green gas, a small pice of plastic around the mag release has snapped off meaning the mag release falls out. Its a right *fruitcage* pain in the *albartroth*. Im hoping a piece of tape will do the trick. If anyone is interested in purchasing let me know (spares/project)...this maybe up for sale in an hour or so!
My team mate however has had a very different story. He recieved his KSC 226 and used it on green first thing today and its shot like a dream with great range etc. Maybe mine being one of the first out may have had flaws and lacked lube...i dont know.
Side by side to the TM they look nearly identical (another team mae just recieved his TM one). Sad to say but after mines performance today i think the tm beats it in terms of guts and reliability but loses slightly in the looks imho.
cheers.

awesome. Can i ask generally here rather than starting a new thread:
As a sniper rifle, how consistant and accurate are these? I i bought one id look to upgrade the spring and barrel and maybe a metal body if one is available...would i need to mod anything else? lmk. cheers.
-
well mine did have a proper field day the other week. was used all day with predator (ran out of green). Levels the range of my pcs m40s1 tanaka (dunno how) and beats it in consistancy too. lol. A nice powerful comfortable 226. looks the dogs chunkies with an m3 attached. really loving the grips too.
edit: to answer gopher: not one chopped up bb's, no gas venting from barrel. Ive got 3 mags and they are solid, no leaks (some of the best gbb mags ive owned if im honest). One thing i will say is its better without the lube. I sparyed it once with lube after id cleaned it up (cos i dropped it in muddy puddle...stupid holster). The slide just sticked and was just nasty. gave it a dry wipe and been fine since. Team mates TM shud be on route soon if UN move their arses. cheers.

My G&P M3 arrived last week. Fitted it and the torch slide back and forwrd due to the wide rail grooves. Rapped a piece of tape around the torch 'bar' to thicken it and now no movement. Will post pictures with torch soon.
Also gave it a good field test on the weekend. Using Predator Gas. Very powerful, (leant to a friend whose aeg went bust after loading it up) and was on the recieving end of it most of the day. One encounter in a rather close woodland contact i was shot (5-7metres) in the fce. It bled slightly and I had a fat lip for most of the day (didnt mind...all part of it imho) but now i know what my opposition will feel when i use it on them. cheers.

The cap badge is not the worry (you can be a royal marine cadet and get the cap badge) its the Commando Green beret (which he isn't wearing) which is what has to be earnt by doing the Commando Course. I'm sure its a case of certain people give a *beep* and other people couldn't careless and have far more important things to worry about.
Nice loadout all the same.
