  1. Just got mine the other day.

    CQC variant in tan.

Absolutely love the feel of the weapon. Much easier and quicker to shoulder/get sight picture than the typical M4 series.

Anyone try running a 7.4V Lipo? Don't want 11.1V as that seems too fast for a stock box.

  2. Just got my upgraded WOC from Speculator today , won't be able to shoot it for a couple weeks though :-(

Holy ###### these magazines are heavy.

I absolutely LOVE the trades on this receiver and the weight/heft of this piece. Absolutely terrific.

I've got a 5KU mag for it right now.

Are 5KU mags good to go?

Should I be looking for GHK pieces?

Tempted to try a Pro-Win for fit/use but don't want to be stuck with it if it doesn't work.

  3. Gents,

Been looking at this bugger for a while as a possible CQB weapon.

I want a rifle sized weapon with blowback.

I've been down the external air route, having 4 SP M16s and a host of other classics including an Asahi M60E1 SDX which I miss to this day but it just didn't work for me so I want GIM

An NPAS will be mandatory for me because our CQB limits are sub 300 w/.25 for semi and sub 250 w/.25 for full auto. Insurance company's rules, *shrug*.

Was looking on evike and saw 2 NPASs/NPASes for the SCAR:

    What is the difference?

FYI, I will be running green/propane at all times.

What parts need to be replaced out of box?

I will admit being a bit scared, hearing reports of so many broken weapons and want to make sure I have a durable weapon.

If anyone has comparable suggestions for a GBB CQB rifle please feel free to PM me to discuss so we don't clog the thread.

  4. Im tempted to grab one to compare it to my G&G SOC 16 but then Id have to sell one, :P.

Stuff different on the external end at least:

-SOC16 instead of SOCOM for trademarks on the operating handle.

-G&G's stock seems to have a more textured effect in the reciever section

-Hopup location is different, G&Gs is under the bolt instead of the mag well

    -Magazines are different

-G&G has a bolt stop that works

-G&G has larger stock cavity for battery, will swallow up one of my 12Vs with ease

-TM will last longer than G&G stock, thats pretty much a fact

-G&G uses V2/V3 parts in the gearbox, TM uses V6 parts or is it V7, whichever it is unless they changed the gearbox in this version

-On a G&G you can decompress the spring via selector switch, I don't think a TM can do so, correct me if wrong?

-I'd compare weights if you can give me a weight measurement on your SOC16?

-G&G has slightly different trades on upper rear reciever

-How wobbly is your upper handguard, mine is a bit wobbly, not on the scope mount section thank god.

-G&G has a bit of coloration differences on the bolt compared to a TM

-Do you have to push in on your selector switch to change between FA and SA?

    Good review

Hope my G&G bit helps :D

  5. Hot Damn!

If this thing really holds up well, it may become a new weapon for me to pickup next year. I have been wanting a CA SAW for a while now as in my personal opinion they are much better than a STAR and I have wanted full metal goodness.

Great to hear that the barrel and mechbox come out so easily.

Please keep us up to date, I for one am very interested in seeing how far this goes. :D

  6. Looking good, excellent job with the review. :-D.

    Got some questions for you:

#1 Where is the battery placed? Box Mag?

#2 If #2 is true, then the only way the gun can have a magazine is the G+P Box,no?

#3 I know you haven't tried to takedown the mech, but have you been able to remove the mech?

#4 How sturdy is the bipod?

#5 Any troubles with a microswitch/does it even use a microswitch?

#6 Can the ranged grip be folded up? removed?

    #7 Could I slap a RS Mk1 or Mk2 stock on there?

#8 Does the charging handle work? Is it purely cosmetic?

#9 Is it possible for you to get to the barrel for ID?

    Thanks!
