Best wait until Z1 get their new batch in anyway. These will have the new motor etc. Z1 will advertise this on the website when they get them, apparently.

My mate had the very same thing at Fireball yesterday. Had to switched to a TM AK47.

I think it's a bit off that ICS shipped what amounts to a test version to the UK. The version on global release now has the new motor, redesigned bevel gear, steel bushings etc.
I wonder what Z1 thinks about this?

Anybody got an idea as to why none of the HK stores are carrying this gun. Is the UK the test market or something?
Also, has anyone actually opened one of these up? Th externals are great, but I don't even know if the bushings are steel.

Your ROF can never be too high
It can if you're worried about using too much ammo.
Anyway, a 9.6 can be accomodated in the stock with no problem.

The gun is excellent, skirmished with it today
I second this. I skirmished a few games with my mate's 74 today and it was rock solid.
I don't normally like long AEGs, but I really enjoyed using it. It's a great piece of kit and is built more robustly than the CA SLR.
Highly intimidating sound as well

I've just got back from AA, and i held the CA SLR105A1.
My mate has promised me use of his ICS AK74 for a game at Black Ops tomorrow.
I've handled the CA SLR a few times and the ICS AK has to feel better than that.
Looking forward to using it.

Hmmm. I got mine a while back but didn't test it. Just finished powering up batteries for a skirmish tomorrow and it's consistently cycling TWICE on semi with my 1J gearbox.
With the standard gearbox it came with it appears to be behaving itself most of the time.
A night of trawling through Arnies' to find the answer beckons...
