Maybe you are, I run .3's in my pistol
Also, TRH - Such a nice gun, and an A2 pistol grip? You're either masochistic or going for a specific look
I run them on all my guns and put up with a hurty ring finger. I've tried a few grips in the past and always come back to the A2 - but I'm going to try the TD grip again, just to be sure...

Awesome Cerakote job, MRF. That looks so nice.

Absolutely!Mount (2 parts, upper and lower) fits over standard barrel nut (delta ring style), then tube locates on mount. Very light and rock solid. For this build, preferred the design and style over the Samson. R.s. parts fittted perfectly on G&P AEG nut. Haven't seen this free-float on an airsoft rifle before...
It's a lovely rail by all accounts - a friend who lives in SF bought one for his PTW and I eyed one up myself

The MB MFR really is excellent. Like the MB NSR, the finish is obviously different - and I'm sure some other details differ (no Torx on the MB NSR as mentioned previously, for instance). But it looks great. A team mate has the MB MFR and I'm always impressed by it.

I never tire of seeing SMRs - very nice.

The finishing touch to my KAC build - FCC AAC hider:

Looks good to me. The only differences I can see from pics are the finish and MB has used Allen key screws instead of Torx.

Still lovin' that VTAC tube

Aluminium Dytac civilian profile barrel fitted to one of mine...also swapped the CW UFC Meyers FH for a CCW KA one, to suit the Dytac thread. The KA FH is much better finished.

Very nice, Jim.
You're going to be pooped lugging that barrel around!

Glad you enjoyed using the Evo, hwagan. I really can't fault it. Just the right diameter and the faceted profile and cooling holes provide just the right grip - without clinging to your gloves.
A mate has the Madbull MFR and I really like it. I was going to buy an RS one, but got bored of waiting for Midway to get them back in stock...so accidentally purchased a RIS II instead.
Here's what my Evo equipped CQBR looked like:

Painted lower and clean upper FTW.

That only makes any sense if you consider all rails to be the same. It's not as though Madbull make a Samson rail, is it?
Compared to the Evo, there are no other rails!
Good point though, Jay.

Let's hope Madbull has at least made their KeyMod incompatible with the RS version then - otherwise standards truly are slipping

Yeah - cheaper, stronger and better made with RIS that's on spec

Looks awesome mate - nice work

+1 for indexing the screws with paint pen

The silver stock tubes are nice, but I've been slowly replacing mine with mil spec RS. Better choice of stocks over commerical spec.

Very nice. I really like the OD and the general 'flat' colour scheme. Always liked that grey that CTWs have

Well I've just ordered the 9" Samson EVO II (Several points for Samson's Customer Service, so far they've been awesome) - I'm gonna try it out on the stock LM4 nut, and if it's a no-go I'll just have to get the upper re-cut for an R/S one and get one of those on order; I'll check out the install link and try and go for the same brand nut - I figure if it's good on a VTAC it should be fine on the Samson.
Yes - Samson are an excellent company to deal with and it's one of the few cool rails you can buy direct from the US.
I'm not familiar with the LM4's barrel nut, but it may be you can mod the thermal bushing which comes with the rail instead. It's a two part sleeve which fits between the rail and the barrel nut.
Otherwise, I think the Evo is pretty forgiving with RS barrel nuts. It definitely fits the Systema OEM barrel nut - so you may be able to pick one up, cheap.

Alphas can be funny with different RS barrel nuts, as well...or rather, not all RS barrel nuts are exactly the same.
I posted an install link a page or so back - it says which brand RS barrel nut I used, so I know that one is good to go.

Anyways, Magpul/Noveske Limited Edition SPR. Real 11" Noveske/SWS Handguard and all that good stuff.
So much attention to detail - I love it.
I really, really like the handstop/VFG combo and I intend to lift that for one of my own build, if you don't mine?
Just as soon as I can source a KAC handstop, anyway. Very difficult to get hold of in the UK.
Not enough Omegas you say...
Heh heh heh! Nice

I've often thought of just sanding the ridge off - so I think you're onto something there
