  1. Yuri, the easiest way to tell if it's a KSC 1st. gen Glock is to check the feed ramp (part #10). If it's metal, it's very likely you have a 1st. gen Glock, my friend. Also check the plastic slide. If it's 1st. gen, it won't have metal reinforcements at the front like the newer slides.

yes, I've been around long enough to see and own a 1st. gen Glock myself :)

  2. Crenna has the FF woodkit and I was not impressed by it at all. It looks plasticky and is VERY thick, even when compared to my Pro Arms stock. The Pro Arms I have is a bit too small at the butt so the butt plate overlaps the stock a bit. It's annoying :)

  3. For some reason the Guarder cut-off lever is not available at any of the online retailers yet. That's too bad considering the stock piece will fail with upgrades, especially if you use Guarder gears.

  4. The issue helmet covers will fit any MICH replica that has the same kind of suspension and pads as the real one. I suggest you get the M/L size cover as it will be the closest fit. That is, if you must use a replica MICH :)

  5. ColSanders, The mechbox houses a full Systema FTK w/ lightened aluminum piston, Systema motor and any spring between M100 to M130, depending on what I feel like using. There's also a custom cut 450mm precision barrel in the gun.

I'm using a 10,8V 1700mAh battery housed in a MAG cloth ammo box, which gives a pretty decent ROF of about 1000rpm with an M130 spring :)

  6. I already posted this in the support weapon thread, but here goes again:

My "TOP" M249 with the following:

G&P metal feed tray cover, para flashhider, RAS and grip

    Real-steel front sight and heatshield

    GB-Tech Para stock

Parkerized receiver with Guarder steel parts welded on

    PGC ver.II mechbox

    MOSFET

    Aimpoint Comp M

The entire receiver is parkerized like the real M249. The Guarder steel parts have been appropriately welded on and all of the small steel bits have also been parkerized. I also swapped the crappy TOP bipod pins for proper lock pins like on the real-steel.

Pretty much the only stock parts left are the outer barrel, which will be swapped for a steel one as soon as a friend has time to machine it and the trigger group.

This picture of the rear sight shows the true color of the receiver. A deep dark grey as opposed to the original blued finish. The drum connected to the drum with the range markings is also a custom machined steel piece.

  7. Menatarms, the Marui plastic lower receiver needed to have the rails for the drum mag made, since Marui based their lower on the WW2 model, which didn't have provisions to use a drum mag.

The drum also needed extensive modification. The feed lips and upper part of the mags internals are from a TM Thompson 60rnd. mag, while the BBs are fed with G&P 110bb midcap internals. The feed lips and the midcap are connected together via. a tube. I'll take a pic of the links later.

A little something I rigged up for a customer to finish his Chicago Gangster loadout: TM Thompson M1A1 w/ CAW M1928 kit, 330fps tune-up and a custom made drum mag using a G&P midcap and an MGC blank firer drum.

The drum mag took about 4 hours to finish and it fits in the gun exactly like the real one: it slides in from the left. Notice how the winding wheel that's supposed to be on the front face of the mag is not installed in the picture. It is however attached on the finished mag
