  1. Can anyone ID this:

I found it while clearing out a cupboard, Its a good few years old and bears the stupid attempts of my red tip removal when I was about 14.

I really doubt the manual telling you how to strip the gun is here so if anyone knows could you point out how to field strip it and how to adjust the hop-up. Its got a metal upper reciver and a plastic lower. When I got it there was a huuuge suppressor for it as well but alas, that has gone walkies.

Looks like a KSC or maybe KWA M11A1 with a magnesium bolt + upper receiver set. If you look in the chamber there should be a ridged circle surrounding the hop up rubber and inner barrel, and you rotate that to turn the hop up and down (I forget which way does what). There is a tool the gun should have which makes this easier to do, but if you don't have it you can probably just do it with your fingers.

    M11A1 Disassembly

To strip it you remove the stock first, then remove the front pin, pushing the inner pin out the left and the outer pin out the right side (if you find it hard to push out the outer pin you can push it out a bit with the stock bar that has a cut in it). After you have that out you push the upper forward until it is stopped by the charging handle, then twist the handle 90 degrees, then pull the bolt out. After that the upper will come off completely and the you can take the bolt out too. Then, if you want to separate the barrel, sling swivel, and muzzle from the upper, just pop out the little pin towards the front of the upper, and those bits will come off.

  2. I just ordered a CA G36, can't wait 'till I get it in the post! I'll put up pictures as soon as I can.

On a side note anyone know what the finish looks like on this http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3965 ? I'm looking to put it on my CA but don't want to much of a texture/colour clash. Other then that it looks like you need to shell out $100~ to get a STAR handguard w/ Bipod to have a bipod on a CA :(

    cheers

It is pretty much a perfect match to the CA's color and texture.

  3. Alright, which pin are you talking about? The sling pin, or that cone shaped pin behind the plate?

It's the pin behind the plate located towards the front and on the underside of the foregrip. You push in the little metal plate and pull the pin out. You then put the bipod into the notch and re-insert the pin.

  4. Speaking of Echo1 M203's, here are some pics of mine on my JG M733:

I'm pretty pleased with the Echo1 M203, my only complaint is that the grip on it feels like pretty cheap plastic, and gives it sort of a toyish feel, but other than that I love it.

  5. Where's your battery??

I can just about squeeze an 8.4v mini above the barrel when using the lower handguard in place of the upper, it doesn't quite lock into the delta ring completely, but it's on securely enough that it shouldn't fall off accidentally. However, I plan on getting an M4 handguard so it will lock in totally so I won't have to worry about at all.

  6. Clean Hick, very clean.

Indeed, a nice simple carbine with lots and lots of power!

    Thanks!

I love it. Makes me feel like a total badass :P .

Edit: Btw, that thing is sick negativecambre!

  7. Anyone with the 6mm pistol grip version want to tell us how it's holding up?

Mine is holding up fine, still performs as well as it did when I first got it and is still very solid, but has very slight play between the front end and the receiver after I disassembled it partially, probably just needs a screw tightened but it's not really bad enough to bother doing. I am still very pleased with it and don't regret buying it at all.
