  1. Well don't stand right NEXT to it and you'll be fine. lol Pics of the class on monday, aka gear fodder for you guys to start lusting after.
  2. That is one of the guns with him.
  3. So having spent some time with Costa this week, all I can say is that you guys are gonna need to start changing your guns
  4. If anyone is interested, and you cruise over to the real steel thread, I've put up a pic with a TON of magpul porn in it. Keep the discussion there, not here, per the rules.
  5. I have the real trigger guard, and the magpul one, obviously, and honestly, I like the magpul one more. But to each his own.
  6. Different mags, as it shoots a different round.
  7. SR-15s are in fact offered in full auto from the shop, but they're only made in small agency or T&E runs. So technically full auto is not incorrect, it's just not that common.
  8. Isn't the very definition of making a copy of another gun taking away from the uniqueness? Regardless, my SR-15 E3 IWS is set up in a very similar fashion to Chris' gun. No FUG, and obviously not using a magpul lower. (1000 dollar lowers are absurd, even for me) When it's back from Knights Armament, I'll post pics in the Real Steel thread. It's a ludicrously lightweight rifle given that it's a full length rail.
  9. It's the URX. It's a completely SR-15 E3 IWS upper (different bolt design and gas system) Just in an 11.5 config.
  10. And you're surprised because...
  11. That's the KAC Triple Tap Brake, you're just seeing his surefire on the left side making it look more odd than it really is.
  12. It's more machine work involved, and the redi-mods do as a downside to the weight reduction, have a bit of wobble to the magazine because less material is now holding the magazine.
  13. SR-15s come standard with the 200-600M iron sight.
  14. Althis, I was kidding. I won't start a pissing match with another mod, I'll just take my real KAC guns and share the info elsewhere.
  15. There will be no talking of things related to real firearms. Didn't you get the memo?!
  16. It absolutely WILL work, the reason they don't warranty it is because on full auto the heat could make it mushroom inside the NT4. However with their internal testing they found it works just fine under normal use.
  17. If I do it'll be in the real steel thread. That said, unless you ever plan to run a real NT4 suppressor, I'd probably say there are just as good of brakes on the market. Anyways, I'll get pics when it comes in.
  18. I do, i do! I'd like black, but silver will suffice. I bought mine for the muzzle jump reduction and recoil reduction, rather than looks.
  19. I don't have the Triple Tap Brake here yet, shipped off from Florida today, also from this point in I'm going to just refer to it as the TTB. Remember that the TTB is meant to interface with the NT4 suppressor, hence the notch built in (not sure if the airsoft ones have that). Because of that you have to properly index and rocksett the brake. As you saw in the picture of the full package, you get a shim kit. Once you tighten it down without the shims you can figure out which shim is required to index it to the right position. Like the AAC flashhiders you then use rockset. Which is a high
  20. Nope we thought it'd be black. We thought the prototypes were silver. Frankly when it gets used it turns gray from carbon build up. I'm not annoyed at all. But I wish it'd been black.
  21. Casey @ lawmens emailed that out to all of us who ordered. Just because he's a *rickroll*, and knew we were drooling. I think a lot of people are surprised it's silver of all things.
  22. I'll take photos of mine when it arrives later in the week or early next week. The cleaning process is "interesting". Basically requires soaking in carbon cleaner overnight. The pure machining work that went in to these is mindblowing.
  23. It's silver. This was posted today of the actual "what you get" with the Triple Tap Brake: It's carbon build up. And that photo was from a carbine II class (not the DVD) at the San Jose, CA (metcalf range, which is where I'm taking Carbine II in January).
  24. I see what you did there, but think it's a fair enough post to show what the actual production KAC muzzle brake looks like vs early airsoft copies. For people who are interested in the details.
