Stuntman, what kind of headset are you wearing in the first picture?

I had to file down the insides of my KWA M4 mag well. 6 different brands of mags fit fine now.

LOTS of people are anti eotech. The only reason why eotechs are as popular as they are is because L3 dumped a trillion gajillion dollars into advertising. Eotechs are by and large crappy sights. The reticle is "OK" at best but nothing spectacular. I believe its fantastic at 5-7 yards and under but beyond that the aimpoint is far superior.
Also, i dont care how "fast" the doughnut of death may be. Its NOT precise. Id much rather take a smaller dot over a circle any day of the week for a precise shot.
Putting all of that aside, the real issue is that Eotechs are unreliable. Unfortunately, there are no official statistics to support this but anyone that has attending carbine classes knows that eotechs fail a whole hell of a lot more than Aimpoints do. I also laugh at the guys that rush out to get fresh AA's or CR123A's for their eotechs before the class starts. I assume you're going to push fresh batteries into your eotech before an active shooter engagement?
Travis Haley said it best. "The last thing anyone needs to worry about is turning their optic on when they need it."
I leave all of my aimpoints on my rifles permanently turned on. They're never turned off and i change the batteries once a year on my birthday just to be safe.
I've never had any problems with my 511. Even with the front glass broken. Still true as can be. Only after about three months of heavy use, my N-cell batteries are starting to die. Since the batteries were failing, I borrowed my friends AP M3 and noticed a big difference. The tube blocked out more of my FOV than my 511. I'm not saying the Aimpoint is horrible, rather, I'd like to have one. But it's not a 'replacement' for the EOtech. At least in my opinion.

I know I saw it named somewhere, but I can't find it. What is this pattern?

I just saw this and immediately though Arnies...

Ah, I don't care. As long as it fits.

By holster wear, you mean like wear and tear? The PTP actually tears up the holster?
-
Does the PTP fit in a SERPA?

Wow,
Some of you guys really take this milsim very seriously!

One of the guys at our site bought a bunny costume while drunk and wore it to a game for kicks and giggles a while back...

Kraut, AWESOME opfor loadout. One of the better ones I've seen.
The glasses sell it.
Thanks! Yeah, I get a little frustrated when people wear the gucci gear with an OD top and a shemagh and call it an 'insurgent' look.
The glasses are made of 50% awesome and 50% badassness.
Kraut, that loadout looks great - definitely got the FF look going. I don't remember seeing you at Irene, though. Unfortunately we were taking so many pictures of TFR during the first scenario that no one got any of us (that we've seen anyways). But here's me and the good colonel:http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3066/290275..._9ceedac5cf.jpg
The beard came off as soon as I got home, it was driving me nuts.
Thanks. Unfortunately the guy I was supposed to go with didn't get paid enough by the AF Guard (cheap bastards) and we had to drop out
I like your set up, you kept it simple as it should be.
Did this awhile ago, seems fitting:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/The.../UncleOSama.jpg

How do you guys give your guns the weathered look?
Any techniques?
Abuse.

On the real version I used eye relief was about 3", so SOCOM mounting is pretty much out of the question.

Oh. My. God! Thank you for posting this! I've used a real one ($900!) on an AR and wanted it for my DMR I'm building. I had no idea there was a replica out there! Thank you thank you thank you!

quick question about lipo batteries
do they use the same mini concetors as standard batteries or will you need an adapter or change the connectors completely.
Depends on where you buy them. I got mine off of eBay from an RC shop and they came without connectors. I bought a bag of ten minis for $2 and put them on myself. Extremely easy to do, but if you want peak performance go with deans.

I was under the impression the SRC drum mags were push button, not wired? Or is it modded?
Sorry for the questions, I'm looking to pick one up next paycheck.
Very nice collection, btw.

Quick question, tried to search, but the search is jacked.
Can you fit a G&G/CA gearbox into a Kart EBR? If not, how much modding would be needed?
