  1. @ somegirls did I mention our guns look similar
  2. @somegirls, sweet set up our guns look very similar except I am using a 553 I was thinking of replacing it with a T-1 and your pix answered my question, thanks
  3. nope mine will not lock properly if you use the standard nozzle on a CO2 brass chamber #111
  4. Yup, that's a CO2 nozzle I bought my nozzle from AB.
  5. That's great news, I have a question, WETTI is the valve included in the SCAR the new CO2 version or a regular gas version.
  6. I ordered three times from AB as well with fast shipping TAT but I'm near HKG, I'm satisfied with thier service. Only issue I had was the missing o-ring on a steel valve (w/c he provided FOC when I ordered another item from him) and when I ordered the type 1 anti-rotation sear pin I got the type 2, I e-mailed him of the mistake and he responded that I should send back the item and he will send the correct one I decided that spending more for shipping is not worth it and I replied that I will just use the one they sent me. For those who noticed from my mag pix the small notch at the back
  7. From the mags I have you can look at the bottom cast mold marking, they are different, so all you have to do is remove the bottom plate and look there On the right is the thicker walled mag.
  8. here are the pix comparing two mag construction:
  9. I have a pix showing the difference between the reinforced mag and the old one - like the one that exploded here in MNL w/c is similar to the one posted above. I'll post the photos tomorrow.
  10. Looking at the magazine it looks like a WA clone. But I may be wrong.
  11. That's what I'm afraid of, I'll order one and see if there are any improvements on green gas. It's a good thing WE parts are cheap
  12. I know my steel valve is not CO2 compatible, but why can't I just buy a CO2 valve and call it a day? So does it mean the brass cylinder/housing and the rubber chamber are also new design for the CO2? My intention is not necessarily use CO2 mags but I am hoping a more consistent muzzle velocity using regular gas mags, will this CO2 valve provide me with what I want?
  13. I thought the CO2 valve is backward compatible with the old gen guns, why do we need to replace the Parts #38, #111, #112 and #121 and the Stabilizer. I would really want to get one but am not so sure that I need all those parts from the CO2 conv. kit.
  14. What we are seeing here IMHO is metal fatigue. Any stressed structural member including pressurised metal vessels are subjected to cyclic loads, you gas up you mags, discharge your gun and gas up again. The magazines will experience stresses well below its ultimate strength but due to the cycling effect this will weaken the metalic structure to the the point of rupture. I am not saying that all mags will explode manufacturing tolerances also come into play here if for some reason some magazines were made thinner than the required wall thickness the effect of fatigue failure will happen alot ea
  15. I was with the guy here in RP when his mag exploded in his mag pouch we were in the shade at around 32C to 35C using GG. I tought it was a flash bang that got accidentally discharged he is one lucky guy he did not get injured, not even a scratch.
  16. I have to agree with WETTI and 3vi1 we can't expect customer service from any where like what WETTI and AB is providing. I too found my CQB inner barrel in the upper tolerance while my brass chamber might be in the lower tolerance resulting to an interference fit between the two parts, I just sanded the inner barrel until it fit the chamber.
  17. Great work coco. After looking at your drawings I think I now know the reason why sometimes I get inconsistent muzzle velocity. Some times the BB is chambered too forward hence when I finally fired the shot the BB is not providing a good seal around #117, or the other way around, and results in a loss in power. I too believe in a modified 117 like your proposal.
  18. I am using a repro tan EO 553 from dragonred and it's holding up fine.
  19. I just replaced my steel bolt stop latch as it got worn out after less than a month, I bought a replacement from AB and after about 20 or so bolt stop releases I inspected the latch and indeed it started to wear out on the same location from my previous one. So now I would recommend to not release the bolt via "ping pong paddle" as much as possible but to release the bolt by the charging handle to delay the wear as much as possible. WETTI, may I recommend changes either in material or design of the latch/bolt interface as they will wear out in no time.
  20. The pin is installed from the back and should be punched to the back. It is initially hard to drive out but using the proper pin punch diameter I was able to remove it to replace my bolt stop latch. The pin has serations on the back and should not be forced to come out at the front of the hole.
  21. it has two o-rings as seen in the photo
  22. Just as I guessed now my still unused-because-of-the-missing-o-ring-steel nozzle is already obsolete. Maybe I can bring mine to a machine shop and have it on a lathe to make another groove for an additional o-ring.
  23. Sheesh, I just ordered the steel nozzle from AB less than 8 hours ago in anticipation of the CO2 mag release. The question is when can we order parts or will these continous revisions be ongoing that any parts you buy today will be obsolete tomorrow.
  24. The RBAV won the contract in SOCOM to replace the CIRAS so yup we'll be seeing more of them soon in use.
