Nope not the case either. It leaked, but I fixed it. It started doing this the last time I went into the mag to fix the seal. I'm thinking it has something to do with the teflon tape I wrapped around the o-ring that kept slipping, but I did it before and it worked fine. I can't figure out what's causing the problem now. I should further clarify. The bolt does move back, but not far enough to reset the hammer and trigger. I took a look at the floating valve assembly. Is the floating valve supposed to be sticking out, and push back into the nozzle, or is the valve supposed to be resting ins

I always made sure the hammer was cocked before I put the mag in, and I did stick the mag in the fridge for 10 mins before trying it again. Same results. If I screw the valve assembly into the body too tight, would that have an effect?

Hey guys I was wondering...does anyone have an issue with light striking? The mag has been sitting in my room, at about 80 degrees F, and the valve is REALLY hard to push in. When inserted into the gun and fired, it just makes a little "poot" and doesn't move the bolt all the way back or reset the trigger. I've never had this problem with any GBB's I've had, and I just started noticing this in the AGM. Is this a common problem for the AGM M4? @ colazel: I posted earlier about the MOE handguards. Mine were really hard to fit, and even then they don't fit into the delta ring all the way. I

A word on the Magpul PTS MOE handguards. The stock metal cap behind the front sight and the stock delta ring do not fit the MOE handguards. They are a smidgen too small. You need to either file/dremel away some material inside the cap and delta ring and/or off the handguards themselves, where they fit into the cap and delta ring. I used a TM metal cap, and the fit is so ridiculously tight that the handguards can't completely close. There's a tiny gap at the rear. Also just noticed that my barrel sits pointing to the left, haven't figured out how to fix that one yet.

The Magpul MOE front will not fit the stock handguard cap behind the front sight, unless you file away either some of the handguard or the cap. I used a stock Marui M4 endcap, and even that was a ridiculously tight fit. I had to hammer the endcap down onto the handguards, then muscle the front sight in on top of it to get the pin holes to line up right on the sight.

Well I figured out how to stop the damn o-ring from unseating on the valve shaft. And to somewhat fix the wobbly barrel. The barrel isn't attached to the receiver by anything other than two slots that fit into two nubs. The delta ring tightens over both the barrel and the receiver to hold them together. Wrapping teflon tape around both the base of the barrel and the receiver, then tightening the delta ring over works awesome. Very slight wobble, but unnoticeable when handling, unless you grab the barrel and shake it about. The valve seal is a little trickier. You have to wrap teflo

The problem was that the o-ring on the valve shaft kept coming unseated. I can't get it to stay put no matter what I try.

I have tried again and again to get that tiny o-ring on the valve shaft that keeps unseating to stay put, with no success. I've tried bigger o-rings, they don't fit in underneath/behind the brass plug on the end of the valve shaft. I broke the o-ring by accident, so I tried wrapping everything in teflon tape tape. That didn't work either. Then I cannibalized the fill valve o-ring from another GBB mag, which fit perfectly. Wrapped some teflon tape around that, that works for about half a mag then started venting gas again. I am at my wits end with this. Is there some trick I'm missing to keep t

I do recommend the PGC hop up chamber. Its a very sturdy ABS plastic, much like the reinforced nozzles for GBB pistols made by Shooters Design and Guarder. Also comes with a new hopup rubber. It's a tight fit, but it also allows the use of normal AEG barrels, which BTW do fit into the stock AGM barrel. If it doesn't seem like it wants to go into the barrel, just push it in harder.

Do the GHK mags allow the bolt catch to work properly, as in it locks back on empty?
-
I thought GHK mags fit without any mods or problems at all?

I think I figured out what happened. #234 sits in a groove on the shaft, behind the brass plug. It got blasted out of the groove and wedged itself under the brass plug, between the shaft and plug. That's why it appeared to be poking out from under the plug. Guess I'll mosey on into the hardware store and get me some new o-rings. BTW, anyone know how to remove the valve assembly without a valve tool? All I have is needle nose pliers, and those don't work too well. If you look at the last picture here, I believe it's o-ring C that's the culprit.
-
Took a closer look at the valve in the mag, and I do believe that's the o-ring in question. But when I took a closer look, there appeared to be another o-ring that sat behind it. There's one o-ring sitting on the brass plug, and what appeared to be another one sticking out from UNDERNEATH the brass plug. Just a small portion of the o-ring anyway, and I thought maybe it got jammed in there, so I moved it back out, and now it appears to have been lost inside the mag somewhere, because it is nowhere to be seen. I am well and truly confused. Is the o-ring on the plug in fact supposed to be sitting

Well the pins go in smoothly, but now I have another problem. The mag straight up shoots all the gas out from the top. I was moving the gun around with the mag in, and suddenly, inexplicably, the gun just went off full auto and emptied all the gas. Whenever I try to fill it with gas, all of it just shoots out, whether the valve lock is depressed or not. Took it apart to replace the o-ring listed on Redwolf as a possible leaky ring, but to no avail. Now when I reassembled it the valve lock doesn't move up and down smoothly anymore, it gets stuck. The metal rings under the delta ring are bent an

Haven't tried field stripping it yet. Upon closer inspection, the catch itself seems to be rough. It doesn't move smoothly up and down, it clicks up and down, almost like it's catching on something. I'll open it up and take a closer look later. I'm too busy annoying my roommates with it right now.

So I got mine today. The good: -solid, no creaks. -awesome fun. The bad: -bolt locks back only when manually racked, not when firing on empty mag. Even then, only catches some of the time when manually racked. I believe this is the mag's fault-I think the fix where you file away a bit of the lock lever on the mag it should clear itself up, or maybe a stronger spring for the lever. -loose barrel. 3-second fix by turning the delta ring. -loose stock. Easily fixed with a little tape. -the mag weighs more than the gun! It's seriously the same weight as an actual brick. -

If I want to use RS Magpul parts on this gun, do I need the PTS or RS versions of those parts?
-
Anyone know about that PGC hop up? Do you have to use AEG inner barrels, and can't use the stock barrel?
-
Real M4's have a bit of body wobble too, apparently. That's a good question about the PGC hop up. Do I have to use AEG inner barrels, and can't use the stock barrel?

Well according to 3vi1-d4n; "Its actually very easy. The lever that the magazine follower pushes is just too wide to push through the hole beside the Magazine lip. I first removed the magazine top, identified the problem area dremelled it a little on the left side of the area of the lever that fitted through the hole. Else you can just bore the side hole out on the magazine lip. Thats the other solution."

I've ordered one form Redwolf, should be here in a couple days. I also ordered the PGC hop up and G&P o-ring set, I'll let you all know how that works out.

Gotcha. I'm just curious though...do the AGM mags have a nub or button that allows the gun to dry fire, like the WE mags? I'm wondering if the reason why people aren't having any luck with their bolts locking back is because of that nub, and simply pushing it the other way or on/off will let the bolt lock back again.
-
Quick question, but what's the barrel nut on an M4? An earlier post said it was loose from the factory, but I have no idea what it is.
-
That looks like the non-DD version. I could be wrong though.
