I have never had an issue, but I have my hop up dialed all the way off. It is the double feeds etc that are breaking the hop up. Either way, CNC fix is on the way.

I think so. I need to re-fit the Blowback Unit to the new frame, but with it loosely held in place, the smoothness is immediately noticeable, even with the heavy recoil spring I am running. Worth it, for sure, if you can find one.

Yeah mine is loctite'd or glues. I haven't taken a hammer to it, but I had hoped Redwolf had glued mine not WA....

hkssr20det, what is holding the front of your DD 9" Omega rail? I thought the Omega rails are held by the front sight cap and rear barrel nut?

 

The Omega rails (at least in RS) are free float. No front sight cap necessary. They lock around the barrel nut and then there are 4 grub screws to even the rail to the receiver.

Thanks, Daniel Defense also makes the Omega rail in DFE but only in 7" form. I was thinking about building something around that but wanted the longer rail.

The stock part is just weak pot metal. Mine is slowly rounding off due to the bolt action. The G&P one is much stronger in structure. Now if it works better, that would be a plus....I'd rather buy a better bolt stop and bolt. You listening Clarence?! No three month wait this time OK?!

In a Western Arms gun, once the hammer cracks open the valve, it is held open by something called a valve lock which is part of the magazine. When the slide (or in this case bolt) hits the disconnector, the valve lock dis-engages and the valve closes.

For other US folks, Evike is carrying the RA-Tech chambers listed as "Matrix" and for $65 plus shipping (of course). I still think it is better and cheaper to go through RA-Tech directly, but there is another option now.

Agreed, CNC would be better, but I can probably get mine for much cheaper so I will probably swap to something else eventually.

Yeah, one reason I like the AS versions is that it is made out of 7075 aluminum so hopefully it will increase efficiency or let me run the higher spring rate.

 

G&P bodies are un-available for most dealers right now, I keep asking my G&P dealer.

Don't know about the vert grip, but an EMod is coming next. I wanted a UBR but they are impossible to find right now. Optics are a bit up in the air since I have to rock a RAS II mount and I do need to divert funds to my new one.
