Who cares? It looks good, and I needed to repaint it anyway because I actually use my stuff and it gets beat on.

Surely his question still stands? You didn't answer it, you just showed a picture of an SF soldier who does the same. To me, it looks like the CAT on your setup will get in the way of shouldering your rifle Mancino, whereas it looks like the SF soldier will be able to shoulder his weapon with no problem.

Before you zip the cummerbund up, can you lift it any higher? MOOSE is right, there shouldn't be much, if any, velcro showing.
Also, change the 1911 for a P226 and you'll be set.

CO19 use some HK416's these days according to wikipedia but can't find a pic for the life of me. I wonder what bits they put on them.
The armed police I saw in Gatwick had, if I remember correctly, 16" barrel, Aimpoint, the HK version of the Crane stock and the weird HK pistol grip.

Dunno if anyone is interested, but when I was in Gatwick airport the other week I saw an armed policeman with an HK416.

Looks like a thing for automatically opening your reserve parrot chute should you be plummeting.Yup. If you're travelling at above 78mph below 1000ft. then it'll automatically open your reserve 'chute for you.
Expensive, but definitely worth it!

It will be changed when its issued to the wider Army in 2011 (ish), not just those going out on Ops.

The shape is different from the ones i posted (i.e doesn't cup outwords on the side and doesn't slope down at the the back), That said, im no expert.
In your first post, the top and bottom pics show MK7's. Not sure about the middle pic.

Everything in that picture has been scrapped, that pic is years old.
the next phase of PECOC trials is this month, ill tell you all when any decisions get made on kit, camo patterns etc.

Also ref the guy in your pic dough, I don't think he's actually a current soldier. That pic was taken by Edgar Brothers as part of their promotional material. I think the guy is a member of their staff.
