TM are doing a 417 at some point in the next 10 years or so.
well by that time VFC will be doing STAR WARS guns. Storm Troopers guns with lasers!

My HK416 with 9.6v 3300mah battery in stock and Aimpoint with high mount. I know its kinda plain right now but will add more over winter.

Great review man! Thanks!

Requesting a pic of a HK416 with a M203 or EGLM attached.
Much appreciated.
Double request!
Found a pic of real steel but here is a decent one.

My current CQB M4 configuration:
Nice and compact... the way I like them.
Whats size battery you have in that stock? 12v-10.8v or 9.6v? Was wondering if you got the combo stock and Intellect batteries.

Alright guys I'am looking a new stock and I saw the King Arms Crane stock on airsoftgi but it doesn't include the buffer tube so I want to know will the stock fit on the VFC buffer tube? Please note this not where my battery is going.
I used the Star Crane stock on the stock buffer tube and fit absolutely perfect! Nice and snug, no wobble and moves smoothly from notch to notch. Only thing my battery is too big to fit down stock buffer tube but thats fine by me since i like it fully retracted and nice big fat 9.6v 3300 Mah battery in it.

Hey what's VFC's correct email?
Funny that you ask that but i emailed them saying whats the deal with the Swich assembly. Should i get a new one or leave as it does have problems. No reply whatesoever from them.

Updated Pic with Gaurder High Mount!
-
yes, its the proud wilcox replica and yeah it was around $60. do you have a pic of the guarder one?
I'll have a pic in about a week but this is the one i got. Guarder 30/25mm Quick Release Red Dot Scope Mount Seemed a bit taller then the G&P one. Its perfect!
-
i know this is the VFC thread but my AP showed up today!!!!!! so i had to show you all the almost finished hurricane hk416.
i have some magpul rail covers on the way and working on getting a surefire m951 weapon light.
Is that the Wilcox mount? I just got the quarder mount for $18 shipped and it seems to be the same hight. I think Wilcox mounts are like $60 right? or more for shipping.

I'm thinking of getting the 10.5" at the end of the month.
I'm going to fit a G&G GR16 SOPMOD Tactical Stock. (I don't like the look of the M4 collapsable stock)
I'll stick with the PEQ2 battery box.
I know that it has been discussed on here but just to be sure before I splash the cash, the trigger problems can be solved by replacing the 'switch block' with the systema switch block (ver 2) for M4, XM, CAR15. I know people have been talking about 'trigger' problems but I expect that the problem is the electronics not the mechanics.
You'll soon find out that it will be too front heavy with Peq2/battery.
-
I use the normal kind but plan on switching to Deans.
By the way i ordered the Gaurder Mount for my Aimpoint which brings it up to a perfect hight for under $20. There is no need to get the $60 wilcox mount which i thought i had to do. I should have pics by next week.

I decided if I got this upgrade I might as well go full out, anyone know any reason why a Hurricane 416 style stock wouldn't fit? It's meant to be the best of all the crane stocks due to the battery layout.
Hmmm, thats weird. I just think the Hurricane stock is ugly so i wont touch it. You saying it wouldnt fit the stock buffer tube?

A big thank you to all who took the time to post information in this thread. You helped convince me to take the plunge and buy one.
It arrived yesterday :)
I love it.
I've got a STAR clubfoot stock, tightbore, Halo silencer and aimpoint coming in next week. I really appreciate the tips on how to wire it up.
Quick question - how do the body pins come out? just punch them out?
I love how this gun field dresses. Punch through the pin in front and just slide the upper receiver foward and thats it. Hold it upside down so the Hop-up and barrel dont just fall out. After you break it loose, have it upright at first it was tight for me but after awhile it loosed up turn it over and slide it foward. No need to take the RIS off or anthing. Simple!

Actually, I changed my mind and decided to go with a STAR crane stock. Did you use the VFC stock buffer tube?
Yea i did but i cant collapse the stock all the way in. Very close though. Might have better luck with another battery. I used the one at Evike 9.6v 3300mah Ni-mh.
-
I'm going to send mine off to 6mil to get it modified... less hassle and the work is guaranteed.
Star/G&P Crane stock + Gearbox rewired to use stock
9.6 2000mah battery for stock
Madbull Black Python V2 363mm
1 Joule spring
And I think I will ask for a "Systema Low Resistance Switch Assembly" judging by the trouble people have had... it's cheap so I might as well get it done. Also I read the VFC wires are crappy, worth getting those replaced?
That gun is real easy to work with. You could save yourself some money and went this route.
Just take off the top part of the gun wrap the wire back towards the rear on side of the mechbox, while top is off you could to the Inner barrel , and then put the wire through the pipe which you do have to replace the Fuse to a smaller one which i did to make it fit and thats it.
By the way if your not comfortable with doing it your self get the switch assembly done and have it wired to the rear not out the front.

Hi all,
I, too, own a VFC HK416 and I would like to know if the King Arms Solid Stock can be installed on the HK416. I was going to go with a crane stock, but they're a bit expensive and battery capacity is somewhat limited. I also looked at the HK416 type "shortened" solid stock, but that's a bit too short, looks a bit funny IMO and requires a special type battery and modification to the receiver for installation.
So will the King Arms Solid Stock fit the VFC HK416? I think an M16A2 stock would look rather nice on an HK416...give it a sort of SR16 look to it. What do you guys think?
EDIT: I saw somebody on another forum do the same (not sure if its King Arms stock though):

Well if your worried about limited Battery size cuz of cranestock i have a 9.6v 3300mah Ni-mh in mine. Only thing is i can collapse it all the way. Stays extended on last setting which i like the best anyways. The feel of cranestock is much better i think. More comfortable and much better looking. I got the Star Cranestock which was a very tight fit.

Headhunter3, what did you pay for the Hurricane kit?

Snatched this during yesterday´s game. As you can see, not much can be seen of the two people in the picture thanks to MC.

I think you mean you joined the Buy a expensive toy and sink more money into it cuz it has half azz parts. LOL, thats what it sounds like.
Which i mean that you put on some good equipment on it which cost you a good buck but knowing that the internals are gonna break in no time speading more money on that from other companys unless you already did that.
Just reminds me when people buying a Delorean when the company when out of business. I dont see the point in it. Wait for version 2 or another company making a better or more reliable one.
