  1. In order to make it skirmishable you'll spend a few bucks on it. My airsoft buddy just had me count how much I spent on my WOC (including all the accessories I bought speciafically for the WOC as well) and I am at 2145 USD at the moment.

List of stuff you definitely should buy:

    - RA-Tech NPAS

    - precision barrel

    - RA-tech hop-up

    - winter buffer spring

    - O-ring upgrade for the mags to take green gas/propane

I bought some extras as well:

    - VLTOR front end

    - silencer

    - stubby VFG

    - rail covers

    - EOtech 553 replica

    - QD swivels

    - Magpul replica UBR stock

    - new grip

    - 7 inch outer barrel

    - 7 mags,

    - RS Magpul MS2 sling

    - plastic hard carry case

  2. You won't lose accuracy. There is just much of a difference in the barrel length. If it was between 300mm or 500 mm then sure you'll have noticable grouping differences. What it makes all the diffrence in the GBBR world is the fps. Longer the barrel higher the fps you get.

  3. 1J ? Holy ######... That is worse than here. In this case I suggest you go for the shorter barrel (210mm) . It will still be way over your limit. Mine is shooting 400 fps on green gas when the NPAS is turned off :)

Shoots 280 on duster gas. But it does not like the duster because the RA-Tech BGC is steel not alu.

  4. What should I go for ? RA-Tech hop up and barrel ?

Yepp. That would be your best bet. RA-Tech sells a hop-up+prec barrel combo at a -sort of - reasonable price. Go for the longer barrel if you don't have such low fps limits in your country as in the UK..

  5. Anyone out there with 5KU mags :

A disassembly/re-assembly instruction manual would be much appreciated. so far I got the top off and removed all the pins but the bloody thing just wouldn't "fall into pieces". what next ?

also, they started to leak big time from the top on red/green/top gas. How can I make it stop ? :( Should I disassemble them and give all the o-rings a good silicon grease treat ?

    thanks

  6. I'd say anything that does not need its own delta ring would be just fine.

It was said previously that all standard front ends (king arms, etc) would fit just fine. recently bought a King Arms CASV-M front end. Still waiting for it to arrive but according to WGC guys it should be good.

So I assume all others should be fine too. Except for the JP Rifles front ends. They don't . :(

  7. You should mention that the QC of the mags suck big time. I bought 3 of these : 1 fit into my G&P GB just fine the other two actually got stuck in the magwell. After getting the mags out I checked the thickness of the bb cover and apparently they are 1mm thicker than they should be causing the mag stuck. :P Filer is your friend to solve the problem :(

Apart from that "tiny" error they are pretty good. They take Green gas out of the box with no to very slight leaking (2 mags leaked non at all, 1 was leaky a bit but after giving it a little silicone it stopped).

the bolt catch engages every now and then I haven't figured out yet why it wouldn't lock the bolt on empty.

So far I am not extremely disappointed but certainly won't buy more . I'd rather shell out a little extra for the Bomber mags.

  8. Anyone tried the 5KU mags yet in a G&P WOC ? On other forums they say it is already Top gas ready so no need to fiddle with the o-rings. My only concern is : does it have a bolt catch function ? If so, I might jump to it and give it a go :P

  9. Hello all,

Since this topic seem to be the most active on Arnies regarding G&P GBBRs I'like to pop the question here.

I recently bought my G&P WOC (me is very happy, though I need to learn a lot about their proper maintenance and how to fix the initial issues (double feed, BBs rolling out of the barrel, etc). I am planning to upgrade my WOC with an RA-Tech NPAS. Should I buy the complete bolt or would just the aluminum nozzle be enough to make my gun a bit more reliable and to have the NPAS?

Also, is there any advantage to the RA-Tech bolt carrier ? I am very happy with the ROF and recoil of my WOC as it is now I don't want to have less recoil. And as far as I know the RA-Tech bolt carriers are some light-weight ones to increase ROF, decrease recoil. Would the nozzle set itself be compatible with the "original" G&P one?

    Thanks
