  1. That's the Laylax RAS.

And yes, they will fit on the SOC16 stock, and actually, the handguard on the SOC16 and M14 are the same size, just the outer metal barrel that makes the length difference.

Soldiers of Company A, 2nd of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division provide security while the unit searches for a large cache of weapons in the Kohi Sofi region of Afghanistan, March 27th. Their mission is to locate the weapons which could be ultimately be used against U.S. Forces deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I had a good updated one awhile back, of a Army guy teaching Iraqi police how to use them, it was an M1A with the smaller ACOG (T81 or some such, the one on issued USMC rifles, etc.)

I'll try to find that one, and more.

  3. I was not to fond of that Laylax RAS on my full size, although it was pretty cool on my buddies SOC16.

I say go for the SOCOM II, but I'd get a foregrip/RIS cover for the bottom, holding onto that metal rail sucks.

  4. I just realized I never posted my M14's.

This is an older picture, it now has a G&P Aimpoint, and I'm thinking of painting it.

    Here's the M14 I just sold:

    I hated that Laylax rail.

  5. I got my TM M14 a month or two ago and havnt really been able to seriously skirmish with it yet, the other day while aiming down the sights i noticed that my front sight was canted towards the left.  No matter what i try nothing really seems to remedy it, it always shifts to the left or right.  Will this effect my overall iron sight accuracy very much?  I plan on using it in a two day OP in August and im planning on scoping the rifle but id still like to use my Iron Sights if i had too.

I feel your pain. my G&G SOC16 does this same thing, try sticking an object to the side of it, and get it as close to the middle as possible, and then tighten it, and yes, it will affect your accuracy.

  6. Sorry another non Picture question here..... But it is M14 related.

Do the G&P Midcaps work ok & are they Metal.  Justr asking as I pick up my M14 on sunday & want to know before I go out & buy some midcaps for it

    cheers

    G&P's have issues.

I'd recommend getting some Deepfire 70 rounders, they are metal, feed really good, and are only like $7.00
