almost tops your wilson professional? why is old people so hard to please

oh yeah? well your thumb safety is "yellowing"

ok. .now show me a full metal Wilson Tactical Supergrade Compact. .w/ Wilson trades on a compact frame ;)

    Current price: 2,681.78 USD

Anyone know if this is the one Clarence Lai made a few years back, or is it made by another gunsmith? Also, the barrel seems blocked. Is this due to its power output exceeding .98 joules or is it possibly a de-act (which I find hard to believe, but who knows)?

not a Clarence... unless he made one too. .

I know one of Supreme Co's gunsmiths made the Tiki kit back around 2003-4. .was about $1600-2000 for the kit. . .

doh! Wilson frame too? let me see the Wilson markings on the frame. . gimme gimme gimme Jerry!

  4. I don't see any Wilson Combat here

    here's mine

personally. .this 1911 gets some of the highest marks out there. . why? Because you don't see many 1911 Wilsons, let alone full metal 1911 Wilsons, let alone railframe 1911 Wilson...and PGC kitted WA SCW.

Almost tops my full metal Wilson Professional. . (but not once I convert it to a bobtail)

now. .if only someone can show a full metal MAGNA Wilson 1911. . .

  6. I know a guy putting a gearbox in a Shoei FG42. All the dimensions will stay the same. I think he is putting it in the stock.

that's crazy. .FG42 is a semi-auto only. . unless your buddy disables full auto in the mechbox. . .FGs only had 10-20 rnd box mags too. . .be weird to have it full auto. .that's like a full auto Barrett. .

  7. The cleaner, you could do with changing your post.... Schmeisser's name was on the Mp40's mags, but Was not remotely involved in the making of the weapon or design. the Nickname was falsely atrubuted by Gi's when they captured the weapons seeing the name stamped on the mag...

  8. You should get a camera and show us your pics!

that would require me an entire day to dig everything out, set up the guns and lighting. . .and RISK having my wife catching me screwing around w/ my airsoft when I should be spending time with my 2 yr old and newborn. . .

someday I'll have some time.. .promise. (Really, the MG42 is the biggest problem because it's at the bottom of the stack of boxes high up. )

  9. here's my collection. . .pics are not necessarily my own photos.

I use to have a Marushin M1 Carbine MAXI SSB 6mm and Marushin KAR98K 6mm ions ago. . .just starting to get back into the WWII guns. .

I'm not going to show pics of any of the numerous 1911A1s I've owned since those already present on this thread.

  10. just arrived in the mail. . an oldie. . but goodie!

SVI 4.3 (Magna) w/ SD slide . .I also have a PGV SVI 4.3 std slide that I can swap if I want the original look. . .what to do with it. . .now if I can only find some time.

  11. IC. .but those are one-piece designs. .and every other gun I've seen a comp on with hybrid ports are one-piece as well.

the problem (cosmetic) with possibly having the threaded hybrid barrel. . most likely the hybrid barrel has a front sight dovetail cut out (unless you magically find one w/o the cut out). . so even if you put on a screw-on comp . .it will look a bit weird.

  12. They don't make threaded hybrid barrels do they?

why would you want a threaded hybrid barrel? to put a silencer on? that would defeat the purpose of a silencer (I mean, in airsoft, it doesn't matter, but for the sake of realism).. maybe a threaded Hybrid barrel would be ok if you wanted to thread on another type of compensator to it. .

  13. Any link to where I can get one of those in a HK shop?

    Thanks in advance. Greetings Milan

here's what the item looks like:

    Parts_CP_022_lg.gif

1st place to try in HK is UN Co, They one of the premiere shops that specialize in GBB parts. . .compared to any other HK shop. . .DEN, BoomArms, GNG, TMC should also carry it.

  14. I have . . .a normal Wa magna xcellerator but the problem I find is the hopup sometimes it shoots very far (good range) and than it falls down a couple meters before the maximum point. What can I do to have a more stable Hopup? which replacement hop will do fine for a magna? If possible I'd like to have a stable hopup or a fixed one...

    Can someone help me?

    Greetings

    Milan

are you using the stock hop up rubber still? if so, replace it. . the blue CP bucking works good ..or get rid of the hop up and go the Sheriff LRB route. .

  15. BTW, STI>SVI. Now you have a Gun in your collection that proves that! ha.

in RS or airsoft? I personally don't think a TM STI Exec is better than a WA SVI (Magna). . aesthetics sure. . . but after discovering the STI is a TM, I'd say overall the SVI. . .heh heh. That's just me.

  16. A Magna Limcat? That sounds awesome.

Magna Limcat slides came out long ago. . sometime in the late 90s early 2000. Twin Cam probably was saving one from back in the days or recently obtained one. . you definitely can't just ask an HK shop for one anymore. . not like the TM Hicapa Limcats.

  17. I'm not saying much on Tunerguy. . but gbb GENIUS is a huge overstatement. . .as twin_cam says. .anyone can buy off the shelf parts and install them. . it doesn't even take much skill to install them or even use the right combination of parts for a nicely tuned gbb. . .it really just takes a couple of times stripping down a complete gbb and you pretty much got it .. it DOES HELP to understand the dynamics behind a gbb.. .and the more experience you've had with gbbs makes it so much easier.

a gbb GENIUS is Clarence Lai (1 example). This not only takes innovation and a higher level of design, engineering and manufacturing skill. . .it takes creativity and a good eye for aesthetics to design a proper gbb.. . it takes a solid understanding of how the gun works. . who is using it and what they are using it for . . Clarence designs the gun for the user. . and his knowledge behind RS IPSC helps in designing airsoft guns for others.

there are very few people on this board that I would consider a custom airsoft gunsmith. . there ARE alot of good gun builders out there, alot of folks that know inside and out 1911s and all, and alot of guys that have a solid foundation of what they are doing. .but in terms of real custom guns produced. .less than 5% of gbb pistols on this board fall in that category. .

I'm not saying I'm any better at all cuz I also put together guns with off the shelf parts. .I just don't call them custom unless I've built a part(s) from scratch. . .did some machining to alter the gun. .use altered RS parts. . molded/casted something. . etc
