  1. Has anyone else had to deal with PTS directly yet as I woke up to a mysteriously worded e-mail that makes little sense, here are is a copy of the last e-mail from them.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thanks for the information, we will arrange that and get back to you asap.

    Best Regards,

    MAGPUL PTS

Arrange what? All they have ask for is, where, when, what serial number, what voltage battery, and how much I disassembled it.

  2. But it isn't the selector gear/plate sync, as with the the gearbox out of the lower and the plate in any position the trigger still does not click and the gun still does not function, so far I've gotten a very professional e-mail from PTS asking for more info, and I'm rather unhappy with Spartan as until I described the issue I was spoken to in a rather unkind tone. The Receptionist gave me a nasty tone when I stated I had an issue with a MASADA the way she spoke was as if the MASADA is some holy gift unto airsoft that does not ever have issues, until I described the issue then she passed me on to a "tech", who was much nicer and asked if I did basic trouble shooting and then gave me an RMA number.

  3. ?,

Can the selector cams "walk" over time, as the gun did not always do this, it is a recent occurrence.

    EDIT,

Pulled the gearbox out, no function of the trigger switch the selector cam in any position. Also Spartan Imports is such fail I have to cover the cost of shipping the gun too and from them so $75 on top of the cost of an already expensive gun just to plink with it a few times and use it in one skrimish. That is complete and utter ######, if I get the gun back and it still has an issue I will never buy any product that Spartan Imports sells ever again, because I sure as hell am not going to ship it cross country again.

  4. Super not happy with my MASADA today, put battery in, it fires sometimes in semi (cannot hear trigger click when it does not fire), in full auto it fires a 3 to 5 round burst when the lower is in the body out of the body it fires fine in full-auto but still intermitent in semi.

I just can't seem to catch a break with new guns so far.

  5. S/N MPTS01300 :DVery happy with the gun. Going to leave the internals alone until it becomes an issue except for deans. Running a 9.6, hopefully it lasts a while. Was disappointed in the amount of play in the hand guard but after some tinkering found a very simple solution to make it rock solid. Electrical tape. Just put a very thin piece at the end of the pin holding the hand guard in at the wobble is gone. Hope this helps those who had the same issue.

Mind testing your MASADA with an Multi-Meter after you wire it to deans mine is 100% stock and read as only .4 Ohm, for comparison my re-wired (deans and better wires than the *suitcasey* stock wiring) JG416 is .8 Ohm.

  6. They certainly do not need any form of upgrades to be more than skirmishable, mine did just fine at an outdoor game against guns slinging bbs at much higher velocities (400 w/ .25 vs my 350 with a .2), I'm not about to mess with my gun yet once spare barrels and gearboxes are available I'll start to tinker.

  7. First AAR with the gun,

    The Good:

No Lock-Ups on Semi or burst.

Great Range and accuracy, I made several kills that I thought were too far out.

    Excellent L/R transition speed.

    The Bad:

My 8 Pro-Arms Mid Caps do NOT feed in this gun, some old metal Mids feed fine and so do PMAGs but the Pro-Arms Mid Caps do NOT feed.

The gun shot great, felt great, and was a joy to use, even at only 350ish with .2(Site did not chrono a single gun today O.O) I still had the range to compete with guns flinging .25s at +400.

  8. The plot thickens, according to RA-Tech the bolt jamming issuse is due to an over sized NPAS O-ring. I still have to say that this gun should be taken off anyones buy list right now, and should not be considered until proof of operation can be given.

  9. I feel rather stupid asking but is there a way out of the box to sling this thing leftie? there is only one socket on the right side and the socket on the stock does not appear to be removable. Kind of the only disappointing thing about the gun.

  10. First three rounds out of that barrel prone unsupported at around 30' were I'd say a 2.5" group, after that I dumped several mags without checking, I zero'd my optics today and I shot I'd say a 1.75" group at the same distance with the same BBs (Bioval .2s.) The trigger makes for nice accurate shots due to its short pull and lack of resistance, the response time and ROF on my 8.4v is pretty good, overall I am VERY happy with this gun.

  11. So far no barrel wobble and no motor whine but I have only put about two magazines through it, I am running it on a King Arms 8.4v 1600mAh mini. As far as magazine fitment goes, ProArms MidCaps are a tight fit and some will jam, old Marui lowcaps fit fine but just like the M-Version PMAG does not drop clear under its own weight.

AFAIK I have the highest serial number so far.

  12. Yeah the shop is attempting to get into contact with RA-TECH, I think the problem is a mixture of failures, the bolt is too tight in the upper, the NPAS is too tight in the brass tube, and the FCG puts too much pressure upwards on the bolt.

  13. My PDW is back in the shop, even with silicon lube and grease the bolt sticks back in the upper upon recoil or cocking and sometimes the nozzle likes to chop hard into the BB and instead of firing a BB it will just sit in the nozzle. Overall not happy with my WE RA-Tech Closed Bolt PDW so far I have yet to load a full magazine and fire it to lock back.
