  1. Thanks guys. Thats looking like a nice gun RockDog. How is the nine ball recoil rod. I might get that one for my TM.

That actually looks surprisingly good. I guess that I am a fan of full length recoil rods.

Did you happen to see it you could fit the 1911 guts in your Hi-Capa?

Thanks, I was surprised at how good it looked too. I love full length recoil rods on 1911's. I haven't tried swapping the blowback chambers but the WE bareel and other guts don't work in the guarder slide. The recoil spring bushing doesn't fit and the barrel bushing wont work because the slide doesn't have notch to lock the bushing.

  2. Yup, the grips are Pachmayr American Legends. I got them from here, but I don't know if you guys in the UK can order from them. Cheap though about $22. I just realized when I posted those pics the Hitman movie came out that same day. lol.

  3. Please don't take this the wrong way, clearly you have put some effort into it :)

but it looks like all the other times we've seen that gun-

I guess I just like taking pictures. It used to look like this:1525951117_d64b993501_o.jpg

but the paint wasn't holding up to well.

    But yea, I'm just a picture ######.

  4. More pictures of the hi-capa, again.

Anyways, I'm planning on turning it into a Springfield V12. Cant' figure out if I should go with the silver SD V12 slide or go with the two tone one. Kinda leaning towards silver slide with silver controls and trigger/hammer.

  5. Looks interesting. Does it actually fire?

Didn't get a chance to fire it, I'll see how that goes tonight. It was really loose and rattled when I shook it though. I'm thinking of putting my polished WE trigger on it.

  6. nice Krame :) how do they feel? you like them better?

They feel amazing. It sort of has a mate finish to it, not shiny and smooth like the stock grip.

Frankenstein gun. TM hi-capa with TK grip and a WE slide.

  7. Another pic. Still can't decide what grips to get, kinda leaning towards the TK ones. I haven't seen a hi-capa with an svi slide with the TK grips, maybe theres a reason for that and it looks weird.

  8. Nice Krame :) - Maybe I'll get one a dem blickies and polish that - make it 2 tone.

The Guarder slides seem to need some sanding at the inside upper portion (front and rear) of the ejection port. It rubbed my stock TM plastic barrel too and my SD outer barrel chamber. Right on the back side of the outer barrel chamber. Sand that out a bit and it should be smooth.

Glad to hear the TK grips are higher quality since those be the ones Ima gona git.

Thanks. Yea, I had to dremel the part your talking about, but the hardest part was getting the recoil plug thing to fit in the slide. I had to dremel out a lot of metal to get it to even fit in.

  9. Yup, still the plastic barrel. It's definitely scratching it, the paints coming off, but I'll swap it for a metal one later on. The gun feels so much better now, nice heft and more solid feeling. The cycling is still fast thanks to the 150% spring. I can't decide on grips. Look more like a 1911 with the TK grips or follow the SV theme and get the SD grips.
