ok, thanks..
its not a problem at all cause its not interfering the function of the rifle I was just wondering that after 200 rounds the material will degrade so fast.. but the material is very thin on that place in deed..

disassembling
the thread in front of the.. front sight. with the short inner barrel installed is that the place for the flash hider.
the disassembled front sight.. 2 pins and a screw holding it in place..
G&P barrel nut and delta ring installed
outer barrel disassembling
hop up / inner barrel
as previous stated, the inner barrel is whobbling a bit due to missing spacers.. so I put some tape around the inner barrel..
..and it works
the hop up hole at the back of the inner barrel
the whole hop up unit..
.. and closer..
.. and disassembled.. as you can see on the right side, the hop up is pressed down by a ball bearing^^

I've disassembled the gun and made some detail photos I'd like to share with you. The photos are (very) big and I hope there are some new details for you..
Firstly, I encountered "some" wear out within the mag well as you can see on 2 photos, while I've only shot about .. 200 - 300 rounds..
Can anybody check his rifle if there is wear out, too? Lupus, Jin15... etc?
AirsoftBuddy, maybe you can send this to WE,.. ?
It seems, that the inserted mag is "pressing" against the mag well and from the other side the mag release spring that is "rubbing" against it.. especially when releasing the mag you are manually "rubbing" that spring against it..
overview
the WE sign on the front sight.. one of the few markings on the WE M4
the spring & buffer wich can be found in the buffer tube ( uh.. where else? )
markings on the top rail of the upper receiver
the upper receiver, back.. seems to be very thick and stable
thick bolt carrier.. seems to be very good material
the bolt carrier half inserted
function
here is the hammer..
.. and thats how it works.. the hammer is .. hammering against this pin..
.. and on the other side, the pins releases the gas from the mag..
here you can already see the wear out I've stated above :/
here again, the wear out marked^^

Also, I think this may have been answered but is the flash hider 14mm+ meaning I can pop on any G&P compatible flash hider?
yep, I have my old phantom flash hider on it that was on my old G&P M4
However, he did say that when we order extra magazines from him that he would include the WE produced steel bolt catch for free for those who have bought the pre-steel-bolt-catch version.
great!

spare mags are now available at AB @ 38$

my M4 just arrived
the forward assist knob and the spring were already "not in the right place" when I opened the box.. so I'll try to glue the knob back in place.. but I#m not sure if glue will hold the knob with such a big spring behind..
-> but wow, what a sound..
-> the mag leaked just a few seconds before it stoped..
-
ah, ok! sounds like a very small problem.. at first i thought "what? the whole knob came out?!"
-
ah Lupus78.. can't remember, but is the forw. assist functional?
-
According to SAA, WE already ships their new rifles with steel bolt stops.
I'd wish, WE would give all who bought an "old" version a free new bolt stop..
How many old versions could be out there already?

would it be possible to adapt a RS bolt stop to fit the WE M4?

it looks like that you just have to remove a bit?

maybe u should read the last 20 pages.. if u want to buy it, it could be important to make a decision.

I can't identify the broken part in yehaws last picture.. what is it?!
Would be interesting to know which parts can be replaced by original M4 parts.. especially internals.. trigger assembly, fire selector, charging handle, dust cover, ... ( http://www.ftfindustries.com/AR15SmallParts.htm <- for example )
/me is still waiting for my own M4.. should be here next week..
-
ahh....ahh!
yes.. my picture shows RS M4 parts.. I think the charging handle is the same as in/on the WE M4..
-
I'm confused .. why do you posted it then..?
-
would be interesting to know.. a RS charging handle costs about 20$ too.. in US.. here in GER i found one for 60eur..
-
Does a RS- charging handle fit? And.. how the... can it brake?!
edit:
it seems so:

I know nothing of it's inner workings. If you have spare moment, could you take a pic or even describe it a little more specific what to do to it?
