  1. Buy Real Steel accessories. The airsoft parts, Im learning, are not even close. The WE is built on RS specs. I would suspect the RS trigger guard would mount right on, no modding.

yes a real steel trigger guard is required....i tested an airsoft version of the magpul trigger guard i had, and it wouldnt fit in the hole, so RS is required.

  2. One thing to note about the RRA charging handle...since it is hardcoat anodized, it doesn't match the WE's dark grey color. It is definitely more black. It isn't that noticeable but I know how some people are with that kind of stuff. I guess if you really wanted to you could glass bead it and Gunkote it, or use Krylon.

you had to order yours? i saw you were in the USA ....why not go to a local store to pick one up? thats what i did, mine broke, and that same day i had the Rock River Arms charging handle installed.

also, the RRA matches the gen 1 bodies perfectly.

  3. Is there any places that carry this now with instock with free shipping?

Shippings like 110 to the US, anyone have any places?

are you talking about shipping from airsoft buddys site?

cause if you are, when i ordered mine, it was the same price, but its a problem with their site, email airsoft buddy directly and do the transaction that way.....

by actual shipping was 89 dollars not the 110 that was listed on their site

  4. yeah, but getting more FPS out of it is as easy as dremmeling the valve. ill be ok getting an AFC version. although, id rather the plain version for the blank body. i want to engrave my own markings.

the new plain ones are anodized as well right? just without the markings?

One of the reason the bolt lock don't work:

Many of you who own a WE probably noticed the the bit pointed by the blue arrow is worn out (I even file it a bit which make it worse). This is where the bolt contact the bolt lock, as this bit worn out further the bolt will slip away from it. The only quick fix I can think of is to file it until it is flat again.

I already forward this problem to AFC/WE, they should come up with some solution/refine on parts sooner or later.

how did you unscrew the valve to separate the pieces?

  6. The Marui is electric.

Milsim isn't all about mag capacity, it's about tactics. I think midcaps are actually PRACTICAL for airsoft, 30 rounders are just so you can say "I'm so milsim".

i know the marui is electric in function but i thought the blow back part was run on C02

  7. If anyone makes anything higher than 30rds STANAG mag it'll be after market for sure. WE wants to keep this M4 as realistic as possible. The only "high" they would make is a BETA Cmag with 100 rds.

which would make sense, the Law enforcement agencies in my local area and military units in my area are looking to pickup the WE as a training rifle.

  8. So what your saying is, this gun is so realistic that people who arent milsim should not buy it, so that hicap magazines wouldnt have to be released...?

There will always be buyers that arent as milsim as you are. I can tell you are against hi cap mags...so dont buy them...there are many other milsim players or not that would love hicap mags because they dont want to reload after every 30 rounds while people with aeg's will have 300+ round hi caps spraying at them.

Well, knowing that Co2 magazines are coming out, since the capsule is small maybe WE is working on a 100+ round co2 magazine

well your right, i am against high caps (by hi caps i mean the 300-400 round mags that look like stanag mags in AEGs) i am not against a 100ish round beta mag that is gas powered *mostly because there are such things in real life*

i do not think milsim is someone running around with an m4 and a box mag with 2000-3000 rounds its just too unrealistic. now if someone wants to do that, more power to them, its just not my cup of tea. and when you said hi cap i was assuming you means something along the lines of 300-400 round beta mag, which would be almost impossible unless you were hooked up to an external rig.

  9. Josiah has a point though, mil-sim aside, high capacity magazines wouldnt be a bad thing :(

not to be a downer, but i super realistic gas blow back rifle may be a bit much for non realistic milsim players....thus not needing a super high ammo count mag (that would also take ALOT of gas)

  10. What about higher capacity mags? As fun as reloads are with the bolt catch, 30 rounds isn't much when you're facing aegs with 1000 round sound activated auto loading magazines.

i heard rumors that WE was working on a gas powered Beta mag (most likely 100 rounds though)

30 rounds also makes it more realistic......an m4 with a hundred rounds in a STANAG mag isnt very realistic

  11. Dear ALL,

The steel bolt catch just arrived at our shop. Anyone who broken his original steel bolt catch, please email your name and send me the photo(s) about the broken bolt catch. I will arrange to send you the steel one for your replacement.

And now all versions of WE M4 will comes with this steel bolt catch in the packing.

    Thanks

    Airsoft Buddy

is there any way that those of us that havent broken our bolt catch yet can get one?

it would be nice to not have to wait for one if i end up breaking mine

  12. i have talked to the owner of airsoftoutletnw, a local store, who will be supplying WE m4s and they were suppose to get their first shipment in early December but now it will be later, because he said that WE was making some slight changes and putting in steel bolt stops into all there guns.

    northwest player eh......

    whats your handle on AP?

  13. Im talking about the US retailers/distribution network.

Ordering from overseas is easy currently simply because the US customs agents have no idea what they're looking at for the most part.

If the packaging says toy gun, it must be a toy gun.

Before these can be imported on a large scale they must be approved by the ATF.

    ah ha.....gotcha

  14. They are making sure its not classified as a firearm since the parts closely resemble each other.

    Just be patient.

i already have one.......hell it is holding the record for getting through customs, i have never had a gun or other package that has gotten through customs as quick. It was in and out in under 4 hours.

  15. An e-mail from Socom Gear after I asked for info on the release:

    "There are some legal issues.

We don't want to import this item until US gov. say OK to go.

    Thanks.

    SOCOMGEAR"

I see it as being similar to the AFC version, possibly with a few tweaks as SG likes to be an "Improved WE" brand.

i dont see why the US government would have to approve it unless socom gear didnt actually get the license to use Noveske Trades.

  16. something info on internal modification

    DSCF2266_mod1.jpg

you can file away the sharp corner pointed by the BLUE arrow, this should stop the bolt stretching the brass cylinder which is the cause of the production of metal dust inside the bolt.

if you want to reduce the power of your M4 the valve (pointed by the ORANGE arrow) is the part you need to replace, I have already change it to a customize one with 2x 4mm holes.

and where did you find the smaller valve to replace it with? or did you have one custom made?
