Those of you with Ops-Core lids that you're using adhesive mounts for Contour cameras on:
Do you adhere the mounts onto the velcro, or do you make cut-outs in the velcro and attach the mounts to the helmet shell underneath?

Got the idea to make myself a poor man's StKSS setup, going to give it a try for a while.
-
Furthermore, is the barrel one solid piece, or does it unscrew at the gas block like VFCs first HK416s?
-
These things are all just GBBRs, right? Or have the AEGs been released yet?
-
It's just 107cm with the silencer and stock fully extended, just barely longer than an M16.

Get a coiled landyard for the pistol and ditch the rest. If you actually need a lanyard not to loose your flashlight, you should really look into getting a pouch that will hold it safely instead.
Granted, you might not lose it, but a 50cm drop onto a sharp rock can knock out most lights.

Of course it isn't a belt, but ever since some moderator cocked up the title of this thread (when it was still only two pages), there really isn't a more fitting thread, and is where various harnesses end up.

Getting back into the game, and when I got home last night this little thing was waiting on my doorstep.

You're onto something, Sweden does seem to be the current cradle of OCD-milsim.
Starting to look eastwards myself for new venues, the Norwegian community has taken a turn for the worse with the new generation of players.

WL-Matt: No, a H-Harness is certainly not a chestrig.

Wait, what? KSC have made a HK45?!

With my gearwhore-glasses on, it isn't entirely optimal in it's current design.
We have had some issues fitting all of our medical supplies in it, but with some Vaseline and brute force, it can be done.
The Bravo-carrier in and of itself is great, and beat BFG to the punch quite a few years ago. It could be a bit simpler to get open, but that issue I have addressed with paracord.

You are indeed correct, good Sir.

Back to life, with the new issued M-10 Combat Vest.

Looks like a paraclete mesh carrier.

sigma3: I've gotten out of airsoft, so looking the part isn't a concern. Reflections, bulk and plastic joints breaking in sub-zero temperatures is.
I'll admit the GoPro performs better, and particularily in low light situations - but as an overall package I just like the Contour better.
Doesn't stop me from using the GoPro at all though, I just put it anywhere but my helmet
-
sigma3:
I also own the NVG attachment for it and even a "Front helmet mount". It's still as bulky as a *beep*, not to mention shiny as hell.
Also, I consider the joints to be a weak link upon impact.
Given the choice, I can't see myself putting the GoPro on a tacticool helmet over the Contour unless I'm going under water, and even then I would've preferred a waterproof case for the Contour - I just can't be arsed to buy one.
I'm gonna keep the GoPro Vehicle- and MOLLE-mounted, as that's what I find it to be best suited for.
-
I'm now on my second Contour camera (currently the GPS), and I also own a GoPro Hero HD2.
The Contour-series is a far superior helmet camera, I really can find no way in which the GoPro is a better alternative for this purpose.
On more general terms, the GoPro may be a superior "action cam", as mounting options are somewhat slimmer for the Contour series.

That thing is *fruitcage* full of win and awesome, AliasJim!

Makes sense. I have one of the low profile mounts lying around without the adhesive backing to boot.
It seems I'll be looking for somewhere that has the Ops-Core FAST Ballistic in stock in black color then.
