Exactly the point. The flute valve only dictates the division of gas for bb propulsion and bolt blowback. But that does not affect gas consumption since the amount of gas released by the mag is always the same. You can have a strong fps output and weak blowback, or weak fps and strong blowback, stil the amount of gas used will be the same. As soon as the hammer strikes, it lifts up immediately (if it doesnt then your mag will purge as soon as the bolt goes back.

Gas gets depleted real quick? I don't quite see the connection of the amount of gas released with the removal of the flute valve. Gas released from the mag is mainly due to how hard the hammer punches the gas and how long the valve was opened during that time.
  3. Actually the chrome barrels were stated to be chrome finished. So I guess there you have it, brass that is chrome plated

yeah but the thing is, I don't think the agm nozzle diameter differs that much from the rest... I'm hoping i'm wrong...

About the PGC copy. There's actually something wrong with it. The build quality is nice and all but the rubber seems a bit off. I've tried two of these already and the nozzle of the agm does not grip well inside the rubber of the PGC copy. This causes an fps drop since it couldn't seal the air very well. The WA design hop has a cylinder where the rubber sits inside as it catches the nozzle. In the PGC, there is no cylinder, its just pure rubber that tries to catch the nozzle. This isn't a bad design per se, but the rubber should at least be a snug fit to the nozzle as it catches it. Might try
  6. Are you using the new barrel + hop rubber? Usually the swerve is a sign of overhop.
  7. I was wondering about it as well ... their site said that it was supposed to be out mid june...
  8. I think PMC is the style of the item (private military co.) usually has all the nonstandard looking ergo stuff
  9. Actually the initial idea is to make it in brass with threads inside. I initially made the plastic part for trial and error in determining the height when i make it in brass. The plastic i used is pretty tough and not as soft as it looks. Been firing rounds and rounds through it and so far its there pretty tight. I think the difference is that as long as you thread lock the whole nozzle assembly to part 39, the spacer will not fall off because part 42 is constantly pushing it in place every time you fire. Using a 7mm bushing could be a good option but I think you should file down the wide
  10. Here's what I did. Basically a 2.5mm spacer will give around 380fps @ 29C ... You can use ballpen refills as a spacer since those are hard and can be threaded by forcing part 39 in a few times prior to actual installation. I was supposed to CNC this part with threads inside but I had to do a whole lot of testing on the height for my target fps. Right now it's at 2.2mm. Since the part is working well, I dont think i'll have to make this into brass. Another advantage is that the consistency is better since part 42 sits flat after every shot rather than on the tip of part39. Right now its shootin

Luis, Have your tried installing an AEG barrel using the wantong PGC copy yet? I heard that the outer diameter of the typical aeg barrel is bigger than the AGM/WA barrel thus making the hopup + AEG barrel impossible to fit unless you change the outer barrel.
  13. Otto, What fps are you running your WE at and what weight of BB are you using? .. I have the ff in my WE - New hopup and 262mm barrel - CO2 Assembly - spacer to lower the fps right now the rifle shoots ok but i wouldnt really say near *dr. evil hand gesture* "LAZER" performance. Every so often a shot would suddenly swerve to the left or right.
  14. Actually that wilcox mount will have problems with the WE and I have seen it. For some reason the rail of the WE is a bit narrower than your usual m4 rails.
  15. For colder climates yes the 300fps part #42 would make sense couple this along with the longer part #39 then you would get 300fps. In fact some people have tried using the 300fps #42 and still get around 380fps. But for inque's rifle, average outside temp is somewhere 30C. Now the question is, did anyone try using the shorter part #39 with the 300fps #42 inside the CO2 chamber? Seems like having this rifle hit the field of 380-400fps turns out to be a daunting task. Installing the 300fps Part #42 and getting 300fps was actually a surprise since it was the first time i saw it worked
