  1. Here's a good metric for what qualifies for this thread: Stuff that is awesome and makes you envious. A fully pimped 1911? Yeah definitely. A pile of AEG magazines? Probably not.

    That should be easy enough.

  2. RM:

That's awesome. I really love your newest SVI build. I personally like silver 2011s better, especially with these new aluminum grips, but the black and gold are nice together.

When I first saw those aluminum grips on the SVI website a few years back, I thought it would be nice if we had them for airsoft 2011s. When Prime finally turned up with them, I liked everything except the price! I really hate the plastic 2011 grips, the aluminum grips make the 2011s so much classier. I really would've liked to build an IED Hybrid SVI on one of these frames, but too many projects going on at once.

  3. Actually, I think that might be the real deal...

Haven't seen an airsoft version of one of these before. Very nice.

Yes it is the real deal, good eye! I got a pretty good deal on it in exchange for a 553 I previously got for a SOPMOD II carbine. AFAIK, 553s are being replaced by the tan EXPS "SU-233B/PEQ," as the laterally mounted battery copes with recoil better, not that it matters in airsoft. It works the same, just smaller and the buttons are on the side so you can sit a magnifier closer.

The throwlever is also tension adjustable. The 553 was loose on the Inokatsu upper (but was fine on RS and Prime uppers, there goes "in spec," Inokatsu), but the EXPS mount is tension adjustable.

  4. Thanks, I heard of a Viper Speed Bolt Carrier Group but couldn't find anything about it.

I also saw a youtube video of someone only replacing the original buffer with a speed buffer.

    Know about any of those?

I mostly shoot semi so I've never tried to optimize for ROF, but like I said before, as long as your buffer is lighter and/or your spring is stiffer, you should achieve higher ROF.

If your ultimate aim is ROF I don't think WAM4 is a good starting point.

  5. I actually have a 2011 version. I am very satisfied with the gun. The only thing I want to improve is the rate of fire. What can I do? I want to maintain the original looks, so no fancy silver shiny bolts and stuff.

Lighter bolt, lighter buffer, stiffer recoil spring.

The bolt in your Inok is steel. Your ROF will increase if you switch to an aluminum bolt.Your recoil will be diminished. If you're trying to achieve an ROF comparable to an M4, it's unheard of for WAM4.

  6. Block 2 WAM4 rebuild. Replaced receiver with Inok model, previous lower was kind of "blinged" out and didn't seem appropriate. F-FSB, note how flush the RIS II sits against the upper, it took me a few hours in shop to get everything fitted correctly.

Optics between EXPS and SpecterDR, though the SpecterDR will probably have to be a clone. Sorry for these horrendous photos, I don't have my tripod or lightbox, so I result to HDR handheld photos. They're ok if you look at them from afar.
