Hmm, did a quick gas efficiency test, after re-screwing the piston cup.
Just under 200 shots single shot
165 mixed single shot/full auto.
about 15C outside.

I was thinking of getting one too, but don't know where to get one from. None of the major retailers seem to stock them.

Aye, I was thinking on that. I can only just use the iron sights with a mask on, will the T1 be at a lower or higher (or the same) level as the irons?
Also, I'm pretty sure I played most/all of that game on sunday with the piston cup not attached to the bolt. When I was cleaning it I found that the screw wasn't attached to it, and it was floating around inside the loading nozzle.
Attached it now and seems to fire a little faster than it did. Could also be down to the good clean out and relube I gave it though, serious amount of mud inside that gun.

MP7s aren't huge fans of mud.
Played my first woodland skirmish in 9 months with it, absolutely great. Chucking it down with rain, got completely covered in mud, guns, mags, eotech, gear, me....everything got coated.
By the end of the day, half the magazines were jamming, the bolt lock didn't work and the hop up was a bit iffy.
Still shot me plenty of bad guys
Didn't help that I forgot to take any spare ammo with me, so I had 160 loaded rounds in the '7 against the Hicap brigade. Did pretty damn well all things considered. Ended the day with an epic bolt jam which I still haven't fixed, got stuck about half way back.
The Element Eotech XPS is a load of wank, mirror finish on the lense facing you, virtually no way of seeing through the *fruitcage*, so can only use it if both eyes can clearly see the target. Anyone know what will happen if I smash the rear lense, will it still work?

Not a summer gun. Light strikes on double action w/ propane, not sure what the temperature outside it but it is hot.
Not enough hop for .28g with the increase in FPS, only goes about 25m now - indoor and colder-weather use from now methinks.
I could use lighter BBs, but I'm not going for .2g and I have no .25g left.

How'd you manage that? It still works OK I take it?
With the NPAS spring and stock taiwan valve, I got (unfortunately) 400fps (w/ .2g @ room temp.).

Really had a blast that day though, just a shame I bust my shotty at the start of that 3rd game, and my MP7 was hot. Still enjoyed wielding my new USPc

A screengrab from some headcam footage I took yonks ago at brit tac sheffield, guess who is just to the right of my P99?
I still need to go through a lot of headcam footage, the camera got shot earlier in this game, and it kept on switching off for the rest of the day. It cut out about 2mins after this, right after I fired the first few shots at the AC team coming down some stairs. If it had kept recording, I would have some lovely footage of me massacring them all with my KSC MP7, as they tried to get down, for about 5 mins...
Out of the 30mins I managed to recover from the destroyed camera, I don't think any of it is of use, unfortunately.

Which retailer did you get it from? I stupidly sold mine on and now need another, I'm wanting to avoid getting one with an excessive blue tint...

The only thing with the Marushin is that it has a purge valve, which basically leaks off gas over a certain pressure. You can just replace the purge valve with another fill valve, then either leave it or (like I have) seal it with epoxy. This allows you to run higher pressure gases, although the clone doesn't have this valve - it should be able to run off higher pressure gases assuming the gas block is gas tight.

I want to be able to adjust downwards from a winter 350, so I don't break the FPS limits in summer, and so I can dial it back for CQB. That's all really.

What sling swivels are you using? I've just tied a little elastic through my mounts 'cause I'm cheap.

Can people post their internal configuration together with their gas efficiency, it's really starting to puzzle me now...

Probably a retarded question, which end of the barrel? Assuming the muzzle end, at least you can chop off the end if you really *fruitcage* it up. Which I am likely to do.

Anyone with a hop up in their ACM take pics of how it is configured/where it is? I'm thinking of adding one to my Marushin but don't want to go in blind.

Really? huh, most odd.
Indoors (about 15°) I could get 4 full mags of BBs out on single shot on one charge of gas, 3 full mags on mixed single shot/burst fire. I didn't do any full auto mag emptying however.
Outdoors (hovering around freezing/0°) range appeared very good whilst I was setting the hop (with .28g), certainly on par with my ICS M4, couldn't get exact values on range as it started to snow and I couldn't see anything anymore. Gas efficiency at this temperature: mixed full auto/single shot 2 full mags bolt locked back but shots felt weak toward the end. Single shot only, 2 mags, then halfway through the 3rd mag shots started getting weak. Finished off the 3rd mag but bolt did not lock back.
That's what I was getting before. The only difference between then and now component wise is the NPAS spring (stock valve back in) and a new hop rubber. Is it possible the spring is causing this, or is it just wear and tear? I can't put the stock spring back in, as I chopped it up to replace the hop up spring that disappeared. I'll see if I can't find a spring from HK somewhere, if that is indeed the issue.

I'm getting much lower gas efficiency now, I've noticed, and I'm not sure why.
When I first got it, in the depths of winter (it was snowing as I was shooting) I was getting at least 3 mags from one fill. Now, for some reason, I'm lucky to get more than 2, and it's warmer. I've given the release valves and the piston cup some lube and I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Anyone got any ideas? What sort of gas efficiency are you lot getting?
