  1. I prefer the NcStar bipod over the harris ONLY if the bipod is used for LMG purposes.  The metal sounds the bipod makes when you shake the LMG is so much more satisfying than the Harris.

Ok perfect, in fact I'm making a custom G36k LMG very similar to yours. Thanks for the help! :D

    1+

  2. I own a G&P Colt M4A1 and a G&P CQBR (marine). Im just curious how you know the internal problems were fixed and how might I know if my M4A1 is old or new...

    Any info is appreciated

    thanks

The Colt G&P's are the older guns, the Marine's are G&P's new line. The issues with the tappet plate, nozzle and gears have been fixed on them.

I believe after they've completed the Marine series they will re-release the Colt editions with the fixes.

    Added the KA Troy silencer

Awesome gun, what outer barrel do you have on it? (m733 length?). And who makes the RIS you have installed? I am thinking about doing something similar.

  3. There's nothing wrong with going for the M15 CQB again, but I want a FF RAS and add a railed gas block. CA has some minor spec issues with rail heights. Apparently the G&P bodies are quite good, if not some of the best out there (at least in stock AEG form). Also, it comes stock with a rear flip up sight and aimpoint (I'd probably ditch both, but after selling them, the G&P comes out to be a little cheaper than the CA). I think the tappet plate, nozzle, and one of the gears (forgot which) need to be replaced though, as these were mentioned as being problem areas by a few people.

The new G&P's(including the CQBR)have the old internal problems fixed. The nozzle, gears and tappet plate are not an issue as before.

And I agree, G&P makes the best guns on the market(second to Systema ;)).

    One word: Incredible.

  4. lol, since the old style K forearm is now rare and hard to find? umm...NO! lol

Well here's the problem, H&K stopped exporting most of their G36 parts, and because of that after 2002-2003 they started to get rare. The forearms USED to go for about 25-40 bucks brand new, and were easy to find, now they got for 150+. Supply and demand i guess.

Alright thanks for filling me in.

    Gotta find my own!

  5. Well two problems, the real steel forearms are very rare at this, if I could find the new style forearm I'm buy one myself. I have the original style, the new style is like a longer version of the C style, but uh...longer, k length to be exact. The K stock can be found but expect to pay around 150.00 if you can find one, be warned, it's not drop in, you'll have to machine a new pivot pin to make that work.

As for battery, I use a nunchuck style 1100mah 9.6v battery.

I see, it's a shame there isn't an online store that stocks all sorts of Hk parts.

Why don't you use G&P's new style K foregrip? I hear it's excellent. Would you be interested in selling your foregrip?

  6. Thanks for the compliment, sir.

    Parts List:

-Marui Based G36 (at least at first)

    -Classic Army G36 Lower Receiver

    -Army Code G36K Receiver

    -Army Code G36K Barrel assembly

-Upgraded V3 Gearbox chock full 'o Systema parts @ 400fps

    -KM TN Barrel

-Heckler and Koch Dual Optic Carry Handle

    -Heckler and Koch G36K Forearm

-Heckler and Koch K Length stock

I'm glad I hung on to this gun, as finding real H&K parts like the ones I have are a real pain in the *albatross*, and the wallet, to obtain anymore. I hope that helps you btw.

Thanks Titleist, it looks amazing. How hard was it to fit the Hk parts?

Oh and what is your battery situation?

  7. Here's the finished gun, got my CA Lower yesterday. Only dissapointment is that the Marui worked nice with the selector switch, it was a nice tactile "click" when each position was selected on the fire selector, on the CA lower it doesn't. I had to do some modification to the body last night to fit the forearm, I'll have to go in and sand out some of the plastic burs to get rid of any nastiness left behind.

Overall this was a worthy project, it took my plastic-y Marui gun and now this thing feels super tight, no creaks, feels 10x stronger. It's the same thing with my PTW, you can hold that gun up from the vertical grip alone at arms length without a doubt about the rigidity of that gun, this gun now feels the same way, looks way better, and now has trades. And yeah I can live with the ONE mis-spelling on there.

I hope you can see the differences between the Army Code, Classic Army, and real H&K material. I'd say CA is spot on, and if AC was just a bit darker it'd be a perfect match. But regardless it's MILES ahead of Marui's material. Now this gun feels less like a conversion kit and more like a real production gun, but better.  :)

I have to say that is the best looking G36k in this thread. I love dual optics!

Can you please give a parts list?

  8. My G36K Old style Handguard finally arrived.

although it is an used item and it cost alttle bit more than i expect.

still worth it becoz it is a rare item.

Whats the difference between this and "normal" ones?

Oh and a bit off topic but how do I a bipod on a G36x like in this picture: rail1.jpg
