Second bolt assembly now fully built.
I'm currently running with the rocket valve for winter and will drop-in the bolt assembly with the stock valve for summer.
I have a 150% recoil spring - with which configuration should I use it? Will its use minimise shock to the damper/rear end or increase it?

'Oldschool' SIG Sauer P226 (non-railed).
TM + PGC Rail + Guarder Frame.
Lightly weathered.
That serial number must die.

May be dropping some cash on one of these so could someone kindly summarise in a brief list the niggles/potential hang-ups with the Magpul PTS Masada?
-
I'd be interested. I'll make it fit!
At the very least Mike could copy and reproduce.

.. the new flash hider!
No swearing please!
Someone's gotta make one.

... don't suppose anyone has a spare piston head for a Japan version? Needn't be aftermarket.

Cheers, have nabbed som M4x20 off the bay.
Still not locked-down the smaller one... probably an M2 but can't measure it. I'll find something.

Cheers.
Given what a balls-ache fiddling with the MP7's innard is, I'm collecting the component parts for a second, fully-built bolt assembly with the Rocket Valve. This is so I can just drop it in when the season's change.
I have everything for the second one except the Piston Head - does the 'Action Piston Head' come supplied with the requisite screw to attach it?
Also, the little bar at the back that holds the springs in place - is that available as a spare or should I just make my own from metal rod? That's possible but what screw would I use to secure it?
Are you experienced?

You're a bad man.

So, red dot permanently off with that cover?....

KSC MP7A1 with Star 'Z-Point'. Zeiss logo / sticker is custom made...

It's either an AK80 or a SA47

Oh god I know, I only put it on there to p*ss off Panoptes
I wasn't biting!
It actually inspired me to do this...

I hate them. Heavy and uncomfortable.
'Respro Foggy / Respro City' are the way forward.

Are that Star sight any good?
No, it's sh*te.
It adjusts the brightness of the red dot automatically depending on ambient light intensity. problem is; the darker it gets, the darker the dot gets so it's not practical for indoor use (i.e. no dot at all!).

B&T... 'Civilian legal' weapons?

As far as I'm aware, it's not on general issue yet so it would be a little premature for me. The replicas aren't accurate anyway.
I'm sure the 'target date' was around end of 2010...

No worries. It's a royal pain in the ares every time I fit the battery - but worth it.
All told, I still prefer the original A2 green furniture but this is one AEG I'l always want 100% current. Roll-on those other enhancements I mentioned!

Good stuff!
How do the Emags feed? I'll be buying a load when they produce a two-window version.

Thanks. I'm trying to avoid the steel one for that very reason. I'm lead to beleive that the KSC Jap version now comes with a plastic bolt carrier although I'm certain my first one had a metal one...
-
Looking at upgrading a KSC (Japan) MP7A1 - can someone confirm if there is both a steel and an aluminium bolt carrier available? I'm seeing conflicting/confusing descriptions on various sites.
Is it necessary to install this on the KSC Jap?

Got to love SRC and there safety precautions.
What do you mean?

That makes sense, thanks.
