  1. The mags really are out of stock everywhere, even in the small HK shops that don't have websites so can only sell locally...

Hopefully will be back in stock soon, don't really want to skirmish on 3 mags.

  2. I think its impossible to read over 80 pages... Maybe the review writer could add the important facts.

trust me, its far better to read through the entire thread, 80 pages is still do-able, unlike some monster 200+ page threads out there, and you'll learn a lot more about the gun than what one can summarise in one post.

  3. I'm gonna take it to a skirmish before judging its accuracy and whether or not it needs a tb, but you can order one from t_hum, just shoot him a pm.

Regarding the winter part, yes I'd think it would do that, being lighter and all.

and welcome to the club and arnies! :D

  4. well, the kj m4 is the loudest gas in mag gbb to begin with, so silencing it should be a challenge :P

really? i thought the WA and WE were louder?

ah well, might be mistaken. Maybe a bit of padding inside would help..

  5. Do silencers do anything on this gun in terms of silencing? I'm trying to make my m4 quieter.

And a pic of that piston would be great TechnoMagi.

  6. How would you gas up the mag with ranger tabs fitted?

And I think they're too wide for either of those anyway :P

Is there any way to load the bbs aside from using the annoying loader that came with the gun?

  7. anyways sirrith!!!!....this is a BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....PS..i have a shemagh just like yours lol!!!!! :D

    Thanks :D

And I think he means $15 for all 4, in which case I think I'll order some myself.

@speed=: why do you need to take the flash hider off? Or are you trying to install more than just a RIS?

@swatmp5man: Ah.. thats good to know, at least it confirms that DBoys RIS systems don't fit this gun without mods!

@whitehawksan: Lol, it would be cheaper to just buy a G&P RIS :P But then I assume most every airsofter who buys a GBBR already has a dremel and some experience with tinkering.

  8. Well, after hours of holding down the D-ring, and pushing at the RIS fruitlessly, I got my dremel out, and made that darned D-boys RIS upper half fit.

this is how she looks now: m4-1.png

I'm not sure if its just my bad luck and I got a lemon, or if all dboys RIS systems are like this, but the front top bit that slots into the ring behind the front sight post had a corner that was too big, which prevented it from fitting. My advice is: don't buy dboys handguards for the KJ m4.

  9. PM sent, t_hum.

Oh, and I remember reading somewhere back in the middle of this thread about TM stocks fitting tighter than the KJ stock. Well, I have a TM stock on hand, and I can say that it fits exactly the same :P

the finish on the TM stock seems to be a bit "finer" and its a lighter grey, and also slightly lighter, I think, than the KJ.

  10. Thanks, I'll take her down to the store and see if they'll let me try on the front ends there soon as I have time.

I just took the magazine apart and turns out it wasn't a burr or spring binding that was causing the jams in the mag... It was a shattered bb. I am now never using bioval bio-bbs ever again :)

Also took the opportunity to lube pretty much every moving part I could inside the mag.

Took down the gun and lubed the bolt too.

Mag seems to be doing better now in terms of gas efficiency, will keep testing it. Valve does pop back out immediately, not sluggish like before.

Oh, almost forgot, t_hum or raven, is it possible to order that reinforcement part for the lower receiver yet? As I don't see it up on the website. (forgot what that part was called.)

  11. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the shop, but I doubt it... I'm going to go back for some more magazines, so I'll be sure to ask them if they do have a website. However, even if they do, the prices online will probably be the same as the other shops located in HK. Cheaper prices are only for walk-in purchases :P

  12. Thanks for the help answering my q's guys :)

just one more concerning the gun actually: is it ok to release the bolt when there's no mag in the gun, and then pull the trigger to decock the hammer for storage? Or should I just leave the bolt and hammer in the cocked position..?

Also concerning the RIS/RAS units, are there any that would fit without mods, as I don't really have much time and the tools necessary...

t_hum I think you were right about the valve, there's no gas in the mag right now, and when I press down on the silver "button" thing that releases the gas normally, it takes a while to return to its normal position (or is that normal and I'm just clueless about gas guns?) But I can't test it as of now because that mag seems to like giving me problems :P the spring is now stuck and its not pushing bbs up, so I've got to take it apart somehow and fix that.

  13. Hmm.. I seem to be having an issue with one of the mags. It will barely shoot the whole mag on 1 full load of gas, whereas my 2nd mag goes through 2-3 no problem. I won't be able to get a refund from the store (*suitcase* hong kong sales stuff) so anyone have any idea on how I could fix this? It doesn't seem to be leaking, or if it is, I can't hear it.

Also, I'm having a bit of trouble getting used to the system on this gun. When is it safe to use the selector, because for example, when I run out of gas, the hammer is uncocked, so I can't move the selector without damaging something. Is this the only situation when I can't use the selector?

Is there anything I should/shouldn't be doing when reloading mags into the gun?

edit: oh and double check: i can fit G&P and King Arms (or clones thereof) RAS/RIS units onto this gun without modding it, right?

  14. hello...well, let me tell you this...3 friends of mine and i, ordered this amaizing gun each one of us on february 9, february 12 and february 16 at UNCOMPANY.COM...As you might know, since you are in China, from february 12 through february 16, a lot of companies if not all were on holidays...yesterday i received a call from my online shoppings center saying that the three replicas were already shipped on february 16 Via FEDEX so they are going to be in Miami on february 21-2010...and here in Panama on february 24-2010....and they still have in stock...289.00...so thats a good site to buy yours!!!!!! :P

Thanks, but I don't go to UNco, I don't know where they are! :P I got mine from a small shop in the middle of all the other more well known ones, came to $288 with a spare mag, and 2 bottles of gas!

Have a skirmish today, but won't be using it due to only having 2 mags :(

Will update asap on performance etc...

  15. Right, reading through this thread has taken me 2 days, but I'm sold. I'm headed off to the shops later today to look for a KJW M4 (fingers crossed they'll have them in stock even though most websites still say OOS) :)

And I will likely be buying things from cradleairsoft!

  16. Considering buying one of these... I love GBBs, but had bad experience with them before, so being careful now.

If I'm going to be using green gas in it, what parts will I need to replace, if any, and what problems can I expect in the long-ish run?

I've read through most of the reviews and threads I can find on this gun, but most of the time when people mention a problem they've had, they don't say whether they've been using green or co2...

  17. past edit time -.-

can safely say it works VERY well, even in the pouring rain (and I do mean pouring, not just a small drizzle), for some reason I didn't even have to adjust it, the dot was perfectly zeroed out of the box. I don't regret this purchase one bit, this scope is so much better than my old ACOG :) the only complaint I have is that the brightness adjustment knob is a bit stiff.
