I got DPMS made standard weight buffer in my VT, it is 80 g.
-
Probably a real AR10 buffer would work in a 417.
-
A friend made it for me from a stock fire selector. Idea is based on a real one but I don't remember the maker. It was an american company.

Thanks!

Is the magazine catch of the Gen 4 Stark Glock reversible?
-
It cost as much.
-
Thanks, yes, a gbb proof T1 replica once the accuracy issues are sorted out.
-
Girlfriend's gun is getting close to completion.
Pictures are not that great, they were taken by a phone.
I had to have the Crusader selector machined. Stock holes were not even close to deep enough to hold the selector in position. I had to get a real safety detent, modify it and then a few hours in a workshop and the selector works like a dream. Sadly the stock holes (which we used as reference points to the new ones) were not exactly at the right positions so the angles are not as perfect as I wanted them to be.
Base gun is a 2014 Vipertech. Barrel is custom length, around 12". Rail is 11".
The shiny Element flashlight will be replaced with a black one along with its mount.
It took me 3 months and the crucial help of a friend overseas to get the PTS AAC can replica, one piece version.
Parts list upon request.

It's good to know that you got it in the end. (and I thought hungarian customs was bad.)
-
Good info, thanks!
-
Thanks for the info.

Does your CO2 magazine hold the pressure? Mine was not working at all. Got a faulty one from KIC and knowing their customer service I did not even dare telling them about it.

Can a ProWin V2 cycle a steel bolt properly with a real recoil spring?
-
You must tell us more about that AK-12.
-
Since not even the MOD 1 is an official designation I am rather surprised to hear about a MOD 2...
Recces/SPRs are around for years (both airsoft and RS), you might want to educate yourself before bashing on people like Ivan who has been posting here for years. Even on the first page of this topic there is an SPR. I do not doubt that you are right on the Lone Survivor movie hype, but here you are not right.

Sorry to hear that NonEx. I am a bit surprised by the behaviour of your customs officials, I would not expect such "balkanic" mentality in Sweden.

What chest rig is that? Some new Mayflower?

I have the Flyye in Ranger Green.. fantastic piece of kit. Seriously recommend it. Worth that extra in my opinion, it's built like a tank, will last me a good long while I'm sure!
Could you elaborate on that, please? I am trying to make a decision between the MODI and Flyye one.

Where did you order these stuff from? That rail looks nice.
-
I see, thanks. That is how I got my AAC can stop woobling.
As I managed to grab a DX M4-2000, I think I am gonna sell my Griffin but now at least I can tell the new owner what to do with the orings.
-
Well, apparently I have not used mine extensively enough. Thanks for the info.
-
My short impressions about the said product. Excuse me the bad cell pictures, my camera is broken.
Box:
Contains:
Suppressor, pair of orings.
I wish I knew what they are for...
External
Suppressor is really nice, paint is a bit shiny but thick.
Only thing I do not like, is the small edge around the endcap on the suppressor body.
Whoever invented this locking mechanism, deserves an award. It is supposed to lock onto almost all kinds of A2 profile flash hiders, I could only test it with my Crusader Tech BCE 1.0 replica, lock was really secure and rattle free. And there is a pretty wide variety of Griffin muzzle devices available, as well.
Internal
Foam, spring, fake baffle, which...
... is not removable this time. So it is impossible to lose it.
Improvementz
Spring of the Griffin can at the top, M4-2000 at the bottom. Notice some difference?
Seeing that the M4-2000 can is even longer, it is no wonder the baffle would make noise and the end cap would come loose. That small spring is obviously not strong enough to keep them in place.
Conclusion
I am really pleased with the product. Works as advertised, quality is what one would expect from PTS. But some sort of manuals could have been included so I would know what to do with the orings.
Well done PTS, it is really a great addition to the airsoft market, I do hope we are to see further mock suppressors from known brands in the future. (Imagining the license prices it is not likely but one can hope, right?)
Feel free to ask & comment!
